Let me just say that I /adore/ the shading of this new art and the overall "look" of the modified mortiking. There are some issues with the body appearing more lumpy, rather than thickly muscled bulk, but really I would have voted for the new rather than the old were it not for how awkward the mouth looks.

I'm excited to see the updates.

I like the chubby-ness, it reminds me of the Glacier Mortiking that is one of the cutest pets around the site. And Paintz, it leads you to the subeta.net-site, maybe you're not logged in there?

I agree with what most people say: it's too chubby and lacks dynamic.

The artwork is great, but... It looks kinda fat now. If it was a little less chubby looking, but in the same style, I think that would be better.

I like the "New" one better then the old. I love how the eyes and teeth show more. Before the eyes were closed and the mouth was kinda shut. Also it has more color then before. The only think I would change is that maybe not have it blue maybe green, yellow, pink, ornage or a brighter color because the basic colors are kinda lame if you ask me.

The expression has gone from apathetic to mildly annoyed. As far as the body goes, musculature is fine and all, but lumpy comes to mind for this. Lastly, I understand that there is a size limitation on the images, and the Mortking is one of those pets that fill the frame, but don't lose the tail because of that, please. There has to be some sort of creative way to keep the moreting from looking like it's had it awkwardly cropped

I'm back.. just trying to explain what I meant, and what I said yesterday. ^^; I drew the mortiking in my own style, hope you guys dont mind.. And I hope the image isnt too big. i sized it down as much as i could.

Just like.. The indication between chest and gut. It doesn't have to be any less bulky, it doesnt even have to be slender. just.. defined? My apoogies in advance for crummy anatomy skills. All of the artists here have my respect, I am just trying to offer my own insight. No harm intended. ^^

Subeta.net is the same as Subeta.ws and both are safe ^^ I think .net is actually considered the main site now. Keith did say he was keeping both domains.

My opinion is simple. I'm not a fan of the Mortikings at all. Never have been, I like them cuter and fluffier LOL. However I do love this new art. It goes well with the existing redraws, and has a very Subetaish feel to it in the art. The only suggestion I would make would be to simply, make it a little less, well, chubby. LOL I know I know big hulking monster, etc, but he just seems misporportioned a little bit. Like he had a few too many Krispy Kremes before posing for the shot. Slim him down, make him more defined he will be gorgeous

I like that it is more muscular now, but the old one's design is sharper and scarier. For one thing, the fangs and claws on the old one were bigger, and its back 'fins' were pointier. It was a close call, but I will still stick with the old one and that's what I voted for. It seems to me that the new one will still pass though; I've yet to see any poll keep the older version. Which is a shame cos some things do not need fixing.

I've always liked the old mortiking because even in its simplicity it looked very menacing. This one doesn't come across to me as menacing. It seems to me more like one of those big dumb thugs the hero can't defeat easily because of its brute strength, but he ends up outsmarting it and making it knock itself out somehow. I thought at first that it was the snarl, but after looking it over and comparing it to the other mortiking redraws, I see that the cheek of the common mortiking actually looks very round. If you made it a little shorter and more angular, similar to the Glacier and Bloodred Mortikings, the rest of the dino might not look so fat.

I think the lineart is too thin, especially compared to the majority of the other pets. Doesn't really fit in that well.

I'd make the stomach symbol a bit darker/easier to see but other then that it looks SWEET! -Snuggles Toki- I can't wait to see what the Chibi King looks like, they need a revamp pretty bad, just keep the 'HISSSSSS' idea? Please?

I love the new details and DNA did a fantastic job. I voted for the old because of the following. The eye needs to be widened, longer & have have triangulation to the undercarriage. You can't see the tail and it's fighting fin(?). We should be able to see the tail since he/she is such a big guy/gal. Also the symbol on the stomach needs to be more pronounced.

This is lovely! I don't have the time to trudge through all the comments, so this may have been said already, but the only thing that doesn't sit right with me is the mouth. It might be the size or shape of the curl/snarl.. but it actually looks less menacing than the original which has its mouth closed. So yeah. Good job!! <3

Why the hell are you comparing the mortiking to a T-rex? Yes, it's a dinosaur, and yes it was probably based on them, But it isn't a T-rex it's a Mortiking. I think DNA did a fantastic job, it's definitely a great improvement from the current one. I love the way she changed the colour of the claws to a gold instead of a really bright yellow .

The shading is amazing! Still, I think the tail should continue to the right. At least the tip should be seen, because now it looks a little weird.

AS AN OWNER AND LOVER OF MORTIKINGS I APPROVE HIGHLY OF THIS.

My only gripe would be the way that the muscles are defined- it's very 'lumpy' in some places when- if you want to define thick, powerful muscles- it would be smooth. My attention is drawn to the leg on the left at this. The tail, though, is pretty darn amazing. I could stare at it for a good while. <3 My only tips would be to practise muscle structure in more detail, but other than that the shading is gorgeous.

I'm not so sure about the little snarl he's got going here, but I'm not too fussed really. c: It's better than the banana split Mortiking that we had before.

I belive that The new Mortiking, as most of the new versions of the Pets, PWN. But the Face. I Dunno, but something about the face makes it seem...Off. I'm thinking it's the mouth seems to be too small with too big-a teeth xD

Otherwise, I'm sure it would be very happy to kill something that..moves. X3

I can't believe people want the back spines all pointing the same direction. The splayed, opposite facing spines were part of what gave the old one its unique look, people, instead of making it a cookie-cutter of any other dinosaur looking thing on the 'Net!! Argh.

I like it! I especially like the longer claws on the BloodRed version. The shading and texture on the tail of them all that just makes that sucker a lethal weapon if it were to even poke you! Very nice! I'm not seeing where the chubby is coming in though. I mean kinda... but not really.

I know the artists work hard on this but to be honest, The new one is to chubby, a fat pile wit legs :S ... and the mouth just looks really weird. Also the black under the eye doesn't look like a mark anymore but more like some grandpa eyes with wrinkles
