Tonight we will be testing it out :)

You might want to watch for these two items, that can only be found in this giveaway!

Just so you know - this shop restocks just like any other shop. Meaning that all the items in the giveaway will be restocking over time ;) This means that one time zone is NOT favored over others :)

Also, if it's empty, make sure to stick around. This giveaway should last through to tomorrow :)

I think this is one of the best ideas ever! Keith, I hope you don't become discouraged and take this awesomness away from us. Some people are just going to whine and gripe no matter what you do. They, apparently, have learned nothing. Just know that you have the love and support of the majority of us.

I agree that its not right to keep complaining about it, the complaining ruined the DC for everyone. I do feel BAD for those that "cannot afford faster internet, but I feel even more Worse for those that CANNOT even get FASTER internet at their homes. I know here in MI there is alot of places that you cannot get anything except dial up and everyone knows how bad that can be, if your lines are old its even worse. I am not complaining I think its a great idea just it is really unfair to some but Restocking is unfair to those people already. So to those throwing things in the DC your awesome. I will be joining you soon enough.
Keith and Staff you rock. Its the thoughts that count in my book. Nothing is ever going to be perfect and someone WILL always complain.

Free or not this is bad for those who can't restock to save their souls. I don't give a hootie what system you have or what speed your connection is running at. You can either restock with the best of them or not. I much preferred the old method at least then I knew that EVERYONE HAD THE SAME CHANCE if they were on or knew about it. Now it will just be that same people who are grabbing the items at BHH or Subeautique getting free crap all the time. Yippy!

Well, thanks to the wonderful people over at the Donation Center I have managed to get a Wishlist item. If you can't keep up with the uber-restockers who are getting all the items from this event, I suggest going over there. You probably won't find Billboards, but there are a few DPs tucked in with the common items (I made sure of it).

I am very pleased with this, and i do agree that you must be experienced in the RSing department, which I am, so I love it! (: It's a great idea to terminate the conflict of the time zones. But, people will ALWAYS find something to complain about, even if it's something that is FREE and a great idea to end another problem. oh well, don't let it get to you, this is a genius way to kill two birds with one stone. I agree this system is worth a chance. While I am finding it harder to get items (and I'm a restocker), I still have been able to get a nice item or two, including one of the Feli hats. I could totally see where those without a fast internet connection might have trouble getting anything (or those not used to restocking). But again, it's worth a try- hopefully the feedback everyone gives will influence how givaways are done in the future. =)

I am sure some are going to say I am complaining as well, but I can already see that I am not going to benefit from this as well. I have tried, repeatedly to nab something (even the not great stuff) and everything but one item was gone before I even got to the code part. I am a huge fan of the giveaways and this is much harder and very frustrating. I am sure there are reasons it was changed and I'm not complaining, just stating my opinion. I guess I'll have to content myself with earning my items.

For those of you complaining about other people complaining about not getting an item, i can almost garente that if i looked on your profile at the restocking trophie, It's gonna be a HUGE number, therefore, what I'm saying is that your a big time restocker with good internet connection. Your probably like "HAHA!" This subetian doesn't know a thing about restocking but then you type "stop complaining cause you can't get an item" I'm gonna do that now. Check the trophies on you lovers who hate complainers complaining about restocking. I barely know what i just said... o.0

I am personally finding this giveaway format very frustrating. I am going to have to step away from it because it is just causing me to get angry. I came here to have fun, not get all twisted emotionally. So I will forgo trying to get the free stuff. I need my piece of mind more than some free items. I miss the old way, that was actually fun. But good luck to everyone else who does like this version. Hope you all get good stuff.

As much as this sounds like a great idea in theory, I agree with other comments that it's very biased towards experienced restockers. I much prefered the DC, even if I did normally arrive late due to my timezone, as even then I could usually pick up an item or two even if they were only small things, and I was grateful for it. With this new system it's impossible to get anything--I'm slow and the captcha image is what's causing me most issues; waiting for it to load up. I was hoping I could get something as a treat for my sister seeing as she's in bed asleep at the moment but I guess I can just buy her something instead.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Bundy

I hate complaining, but I'm going to have to... I think this is a worse idea than using the DC to be honest. At least in the DC there are a larger amount of items released where everyone can sift through them. With this shop the RS'ers are at a huge advantage over a lot of people with slower internet connections or those of us who have other things going on around the site other than obsessively refreshing for a restock.

I get that you're trying to make things more fair, and I get that it's a kind gesture to even bring giveaways back... but if you're going to bring them back I'd just ultimately revert back to the DC. After all, the people giveaways generally help out the most are the people who DON'T have the sP to buy the items... and if they don't have the sP chances are they're not a restocker for whatever reason.

Just my two cents.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Minyassa

All right. I tried the new system and I really think that the old one was better. This new system is a restocking competition, and it will not matter how hard some people try, there will be folks that try for a very long time and do not manage to get anything. Some people have vision impairment, others a slow connection or other computer issues, some just don't type fast. To make something a giveaway, competition should not be involved. I suggest either an hour wait before you can take another item, which I think is more than fair considering it is a free item, or going back to the old system where there were thousands of items all at once so people were guaranteed to get something. Even a giveaway of a few thousand items as opposed to five digits is more than enough to allow everyone a chance, and making smaller giveaways posted at quarter-day times and letting people know when the DC is restocked might help with other time zones feeling left out.

To those that feel the need to use comment boards to pick on other people's suggestions or complaints, I suggest you don't hit that Post button until you have re-read your post and check whether it is just plain mean or not. People critique things here in an attempt to clear up things that they don't think are working, and just because you personally do not have a problem with something does not make another person's problem with it invalid. Also try to keep in mind that the people that are complaining about the new system are probably not the same people that complained about the old one, but had no problem with it as it was or just the one aspect (time zone) that made it not work for them. Be fair, and try to be kind to one another.

33 mins after the last restock and counting. Is this shop restocked automatically or by a staff member? If by a staff member then, what will be different about the timings from the DC giveaways? The staff are still only going to be online at certain times.

I'm not a fan of this. Yes, it's free items, but the only people who I see benefitting from it are experienced restockers not the average-joe user.

This reminds me too much of the neopets donation tree to bother with it.

I hope this doesn't mean you're getting rid of the other free items (you know that are announced in the news... pete in a pie,seriousface...) I haven't been on the site long, but I really genuinely appreciated receiving the free items.

What could be an idea is that you keep the shop, but you just make is similar to the donation center, you would have a 5-min wait time, and instead of having to type the price, you just need to click on the item or something like that, and make it restock more frequently/consistently(what I've been observing is that it restocks every five minutes and then at other times every 18 minutes)

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Like others, I will be off giving items to the DC. For those of you that are as RS-slow as I am, you're welcome to snatch an item or two from there. I'm sure there are plenty of great things being given away. ^-^

Look I am not saying that everybody is complaining I understand that their are a lot of people that appriciate alll the hard work that Keith and the other staffers do. However the peopl who are winning in my eyes don't, are a being selfish by complaining that they don't get the free stuff. Some of these people just don't get how hard it is please everybody, and don't kno whow much it hurts when you can't... All I want is for EVERYBODY to respect the hard work that goes into this site and to think before they complain about something.

I'm thankful when the site is working properly and I show it by using the Cash Shop monthly. I see nothing wrong with wanting to get the free stuff for free and still have a Working site. It's taking me 5 minutes to load a page because of the stress this shop is causing on the site. It's a bad idea in multiple ways. According to Keith, this shop was made to fix the "unfairness" that so many were complaining about yet in reality, made it more unfair than before.

Personally, I don't understand why it would be so hard to release items in the DC over a longer period of time (say a 24 hour period), at a slower rate, so most people can benefit from it - this just favors people with fast connections, and doesn't give anyone a 5-minute wait time before they can grab more.

And people - it's not COMPLAINING. It's called criticism. In the past, this has been something Subeta thrived on. I would like to think the powers that be still want honest opinions on this. I could be wrong, but if I were a programmer/site owner/whatever, I would want feedback.

I like the idea, but not the execution. I liked being able to refresh through the items having to hunt for good ones. But I do like that this one restocks more often. The idea is there, but I think some things need to be tweaked a bit. I understand what people think about the RSers having a "better" advantage. I guess I'm just partial to the old way of doing things, never managed to get things there either.
