Tonight we will be testing it out :)<br /> <center> </center> <br /> You might want to watch for these two items, that can only be found in this giveaway! <br /><br /> Just so you know - this shop restocks just like any other shop. Meaning that all the items in the giveaway will be restocking over time ;) This means that one time zone is NOT favored over others :)

Also, if it's empty, make sure to stick around. This giveaway should last through to tomorrow :)

I have to agree with what most people are saying......I like the old way much better. I've tried whenever I was on since it started, and I've only gotten one small item. The giveaway before this was the first one I'd ever been in, and I really enjoyed it. This.....I've never enjoyed restocking, on this or any other site, so this isn't fun for me. Usually, the only items that last long enough for me to get to the haggle page are the glitched ones asking for sP.

I liked the old way, but I also love the suggestion about the mystery boxes - it would be like opening lots of presents, which is always fun.

And set a time limit between each item, like 10 or 15 minutes. Or you could make it so you can get as many cheaper items as you want every 15 minutes but you would only be able to get 1 of each really rare item. Then once the items run out the giveaway would be over. That would keep it fair and would keep the items spread out. ^^

If we're throwing ideas out, I have one that's probably too complicated, but hasn't been said yet. What if instead of this being set up in a regular shop format - what if it was set up in Token Shop format? You give a certain amount of (temporary and unsellable/untradeable) Give Away points/tokens/whatever to all the users and have the shop RS things randomly. People would then only be able to get a few things, instead of grabbing up everything from every RS if they're a good RSer. Rare items could still be spread out across a larger time span and you could even put a five minute time limit back on it. Also, you wouldn't have to have the verification codes anymore or the irksome DC cache. It would also have the same chance aspect and it would probably make people more inclined to only take things they actually WANTED instead of just things to resell.

thank you for the giveaway and the new idea....

but i need to say something and hopefully my idea is okay: i don't know how much more faster my pc need to get.... there should be a way to make someone who got one thing wait 2 or three restocks, before he can buy again, cause some people (i don't know if they cheat) are sooooo irresponsibly fast, that i although my pc is quite good and i click on the rostocked items before the "now" comes never get what i click on. i don't even get to the point where i see the picture with the code i shall type.... that can't be normal. i hope you find a way to fix that cause i'm, sure my pc is okay and some do have i-net connections and computers which aren't that fast.

i hope you'll be able to make your (really really good) idea perfect )

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I personally prefer the old way, but thanks for the giveaway! I've only managed to get one item. Mainly because I wait for what I want. I don't think it's fair for people with slower connections. And I don't really like how it restocks like any shop so it hasn't always got something. And the refreshing kills.

I think this is a great idea...for restockers. I preferre to lose out on a give away because of my time zone rather than because i cant restock, as at least with the timezone thing, there was a slim chance that i wouldnt miss it, and would get great stuff, but now, i have absolutely no chance at getting anything, as i cant restock to save my life XD But thanks anyways, i hope people will have fun with it

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Hmm. Some people like it this way, some prefer the old DC style. The Shop and the Corner are indeed quite different from each other, and I can see why people like each of them. So, why not use the both of them at the same time? Half the items to Free Shop, the other half to the DC. Or something similar, I'd give it a shot.

And people, with these giveaways you could be a great help too: if you see a neat item but would only sell it, don't take it. You can get money from elsewhere too, and there are people who have dreamt of those rarer items. Of course it's hard to just leave that cool and expensive item there, as some other greedy person might always hog it, but yeah.. I never take other items than those I would keep myself or give to my friends. It's a giveaway, we're not supposed to get rich with it. That's how I think, at least.

as the free shop is just in testing mode, how about this for a suggestion...do away with having to enter codes (as this seems to be where a lot of people are experiencing difficulties) and install a 5 minute wait period after successfully grabbing an item...that way people would only be able to grab one item per RS and not empty the shop out before people with slower computers even get thru the door...i'm sure this would eliviate a lot of the woes of many who have commented here...

Umm, I REALLY appreciate the staff's trying to find a method that works for all, but unfortunately i dont think this works. My internet isnt too slow but the stuff goes way too fast anyway - kinda leads to the people with the fastest connection getting most of the stuff. Either way im happy though i prefer the old way =D Thanks again

Really a great idea but i liked the free giveaway in the DC more... it was more fun for me. I live in a different timezone too. For me it was never a problem to catch up good items, not the super rare ones but hey subeta is a place to have fun with the game~ if you catch up all items you love to have the game would be boring... I think some people forgot that.

Fris of all, thanks to the staff for the idea to help people like me that are overseas, and never was able to caught nothing on the DC... but much people can't get items now, because of the connexion u-u I think the best idea would be to restock the DC each hour, while 24 hours, so everyone would be the same chances

I like the new system because I've got a fast internet connection. But I understand that people with slow ones prefer the donation corner. It's hard to make everyone happy. If you want to stop the complaining, you should just give everyone the same amount and type of item (something like Spawn's idea). But the world is unfairsometimes, so subeta can be too, no? ^^

If people cannot restock in normal shops, what makes the staff think that they can get items from the free shop were more than the normal amount of people will be trying to get items from it?

I agree that not putting all the items in at one time in the donation centre is a good thing, but why can you not make items appear there maybe once an hour so you get an influx of many items so many people can get an item rather than few items often were only those with the fastest computers can get something?

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by tymbaa

gotta agree that this setup only benefits people with fast connections. least in the dc they had to wait for a period of time before grabbing something else, so that gave everyone else a chance to get something as well. here they can just camp out in the shop and grab stuff pretty much at will. Whatever though, no matter how hard ya try, not everyone can be happy about everything.

This is suppose to be a giveaway for all users but some users will never get anything from the shop. Like me. And this is suppose to be fair to all users. No its not. The shop was stocked and cleaned out in seconds. At least in the DC I had a chance.

This is all very well, but it isn't free . I entered the price, and the code, then it went to a page that said it //was// free, but the code was too slow loading and I missed out.

the main problem with the DC giveaways was the amount of complaining from people in different timezones...i personally think the best course of action would have been to post in the news post itself that the DC giveaway items would be restocked after a few hours in order to allow everyone a chance at grabbing something...there are many people on this site that refuse to believe something unless told by a member of staff, so it didn't matter how many times other users told people that keith always restocks the DC after a few hours...they didn't believe them, so the complaining continued and DC giveaways were stopped...i am an adult member from the UK and i have never complained about the giveaways...even if i missed one completely for whatever reason...but i witnessed the chaos the last DC giveaway inspired and was disgusted...however if it had been made perfectly clear in the news post that a restock would take place, then i believe we wouldn't be in the situation we are now with regards to giveaways...i always looked forward to giveaways in the past, but this present set up just isn't working for me...i really do appreciate everything you have done for us keith and i agree this way of running giveaways is a good idea in theory, but as one of many whose codes don't show up before the items are sold out, i am forced to leave the free shop to those with the faster connections and better RSing skills...and that saddens me...

Yeah, I like the idea in theory... but not in practice. People with slow computers or slow connections (like mine) end up shortchanged. With the Donation Corner, it was luck of the draw that favored no one.

I feel like a dope, but what is the correct way to get an item? I click on something and type in the code, but I'm told "that's not enough for this quality item." I tried putting 0 for the number, not putting a number in at all, and putting in an amount (figuring it just wouldn't take the sp) and neither way worked.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

This rocks! It's fair for everyone, except of course, people with slow computers. I have a pretty fast computer sometimes, but it all depends.

Anyway, thanks!

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

i agree with many other people, it should go back to the donation corner. It, was a bit fairer, not to whine. The thing is this, in DC, it is a better/ fairer chance since it is like a treasure hunt. But it is well near impossible to rs with a bad connection, especialy some users with bad dial up.

I love this idea itself, but not so much a fan of it in practice so far...but I have an older computer, stink at restocking when there is a peak amount of users, so that's totally personal opinion. I do miss the DC giveaways, even with the pages of junk LOL but I totally applaud you guys for being innovative as always, in trying to find a solution to make everyone happy. I don't think it really matters, shop or DC as there is always going to be a segment of the user base that dislikes one or the other.

I too am getting the error where you have to type in a price, hence not really free items, but I'm sure that will get fixed.

I'm going to give the shop a bit more of a go, and hope that I can snatch up a feli hat. Good luck all and thanks for the giveaway

Thank you, for working around us once again, trying to please us all - even though you had put your foot down and said no more. We all are grateful for this opportunity and your attempts to make it fair for all

I think that this is a good idea. But both this and the DC giveaways have their flaws. In terms of which is fairer, I would say the DC way. When items were in the DC, everyone who was online had an equal chance. This way, it's highly dependant on your connection speed, freedom to sit and wait for restocks, and haggling speed.

Perhaps one of the biggest problems with the DC giveaways was that noone knew when they'd start, and would feel cheated that they chose to go out with friends, walk the dog, go to work, whatever, when they could have stayed at home to catch the giveaway, rearranged their schedules, etc, should they have anticipated it. Perhaps 24hours notice before a giveaway was going to happen would have placated a lot of people?

And also, with the refills, it could be at a set time when people could expect it, say, every 6 hours for 24 hours - or even every 3 hours if staff could manage it (hell, I'd even volunteer to do so, if I could ), or if it was able to be programmed to auto-refill. No element of surprise that way, and everyone had a chance to get on and get something no matter what timezone they're in.

I don't know, I'm just trying to be constructive and put some ideas out there on how the old way could have been improved, rather than slamming the new way just because I liked the old way better The new way is good too. Fairer on timezones, yes. Fairer to all users, no. But at least it's something; once again, thank you
