I try to be at the airport at least an hour before departure.. so there will always be a bit of a wait. :) I imagine there is a lot that needs to be done. Sad things at that. I hope things get easier once the funeral and all other arrangements are taken care off. :hugs:

but then at least you aren't rushing round like a crazy thing at the last minute! I like to be organised and arrive earlier than I need to (when I had to get a train for work, I'd always arrive at the station early) ;)

nods although after the funeral is out of the way, I've then got some doctor's appointments to arrange, so it's not necessarily going to get quieter!

[edit] I decided I needed to be doing something today, so I've started making myself some calendar sheets for next year (Mum had given me some themed backing papers a while ago, but I never got as far as using them until now :P) - they don't look as good as the ones you made (yet) though! :P

Time to yet again let you guys know I will be gone for a bit. Early Saturday morning I will be going to a convention (not sure what to call it?) held by the association for hearing impaired people. There will be lectures on living with a hearing impairment etc and a nice dinner later that evening. Will be back home on Sunday. It is held at a hotel not that far from here so that is very convenient. It is the first time I am attending anything from that association, so it should be interesting.

Ahhh, that explains why I couldn't find them. :O Will have to try my luck with the zapper, thanks for reminding me to zap. lol :)

I hate running late when I need to be somewhere. I also hate being too early so that I have to wait ages. :P So I try to find a middle ground.

Sounds like that will keep you plenty busy too. It has been busy for me lately with trips (even the thing I am going to this weekend) and many appointments. But starting next week, things seem to be going back to normal. I hope the same for you. :hugs:

Yeah arriving way too early gets embarrassing! I had a training course in a shop in London (obviously years ago) which was meant to start at 10am. Of course I arrived early (I picked a train that would give me time to walk from the station rather than using the Tube), but the shop itself didn't open until 10am, so we were all standing around getting bored (and cold!) while we waited o.O

People were nice and loads of useful information. And so much food. I think I gained like 10kgs this weekend. :P

I once showed up at work, even though I was not suppose to be working. Now that is embarrassing. :P At least it was better than not showing up for your shift. lol

I guess that's a major disadvantage when the food is that appetising!! :P

Now that's not something I ever managed to do :P

Hopefully I can find a quiet point in the week to work on it a bit more - I tried over the weekend, but Mum kept finding things she needed me to help with, so it was impossible to concentrate! :K

From what I remember I did end up working for a bit that day, since I was already there. ;)

I can see the point in working for a bit, seeing as it probably wasn't a short journey to get into work in the first place.... otherwise it was a lot of effort getting into work for nothing :P

We had one long table, and there were plenty of people in the restaurants not from our group also so it got pretty loud! ;)

:nods: I had to take the bus to get to work so it did take some time. And I was usually pretty broke too so any extra money was certainly welcome.

it's a pity there wasn't a quieter corner or maybe a smaller room that the restaurant could've made available, but I guess that's partly the disadvantage of going somewhere popular! ;)

If that had been my work, they'd have made me just swap my day off rather than paying me for coming in extra! :P

thats the option i use xd. Tomorrow and Friday are gonna be busy days. Friday we have someone from the satellite company to come and install. We had them in our old home but they said they didn’t service this area which we find out was not true lol theres a satellite from them on our property. So after a bunch of problems with with our cable company we’ve had enough.

Well I've not had a chance to work on those calendar sheets over the last couple of days, but that's mainly because I'm working on making Mum & Dad a black face mask each for the funeral (Mum's concerned that people will want to give her a hug, so I said if she was wearing a face mask then people might stand a little further back ;))

These companies can be the worst. Going to be a couple of lax days for me before family time on Sunday. xD

Yup. Restaurants and bars can be a nightmare if you can't hear well. With so much noise from every direction. :)

Working at the cash register at a large supermarked was not the most fun I had. :P But they did treat us well. :)

I can imagine that's the kind of place you'd prefer to avoid (at least when it's that busy) normally? ;) Supermarket checkouts are notoriously challenging ones at times (especially if you've got a conveyor belt thing that the customers put their shopping on.... that suddenly stops working!), but at least they treated their staff well :)
