Having cables stretched across the floor seems like a small nightmare on its own. I am curious to see how long it will take the stuff I have ordered over the last weeks to arrive. :P But since I ordered so early before christmas it should be fine.
Oh dear. How have you been getting on with sorting out all those annoying issues? I have to google data shredding software since that is new to me. lol
I just try to keep busy so that I am hopefully tired enough to fall asleep. But have not seemed to work out too well so far. :P I done my cleaning and decorating now so I can enjoy the rest of the day. :D I have no room for a proper tree, so I have decorated a small one that is sitting on my kitchen island. xD
I am sorry the pesky migraines ruined your thanksgiving. :( I hope you start to feel better soon. Get rest up, still plenty of time to get the decorating done. :)

thankfully I've finished with the old computer now (that took a long time to shred everything!) so the cables over the floor have gone.... but at moment I've got their new computer connected to my monitor (still waiting on the adaptor so it can connect to their monitor), so that cable dangles across three different bits of furniture and blocks off the window laughs
I only found out about shredding software when they had their previous computer, as Mum wanted to get rid of it without the risk of anyone ever being able to access the files ;)
Yay on getting the cleaning and decorating done! Does Pusur behave himself when it comes to tree decorations? I've got a 30cm tree that I normally put in my room, but last year I got a new one (in the sales laughs) so I might use both this year if I can figure out where to put them ;) We still have the 'big' tree (6 foot I think?) in the living room, but I can't handle the tree lights switched on if I'm in the room (they're too bright)

That sounds like "fun" setup in the computer room. :P But at least the old computer is sorted now. ;) I will keep that in mind for next time I need to throw away laptop, as it is always a concern.
I was surprised he had not played with the mini tree while I was sleeping. It has little baubles and other fun things on it after all. The rest of the decorations I don't think he would be too interesting in. Other than the infamous knitted Santas... but I put those in a place he can't get to them. Would it be possible to get new more comfortable light on the christmas tree or are they more a part of the tree?

nods The old one is all sorted to go for recycling, so at least that's out of the way! I still need to dig out some more computer programme disks to get the other programmes installed (they're lurking in the back of cupboards), but at least it's almost completely usable now ;)
But is there a place that Pusur can't (or doesn't) get to? I would've thought he could end up anywhere :P
Mum bought some battery lights that aren't as bright as the regular plug-in ones (and there's only 20 lights in total, instead of 200+), but I still found them too bright :K It didn't help that when I'd tried tucking the lights in behind the decorations (so you'd see a glow instead of the lightbulb itself), Dad came along afterwards and pulled the lights out so they were on the tips of the branches & really visible o.O

Good job. :D I hope the old discs have not hidden too well. ;) I went into town today for some errands and I bought some Italian christmas bread. Looks delicious and fancy. :D
I have these shelves he that he is not going to get into, so it works out pretty well. He really likes knitted/soft stuff apparently. Silly cat.
I wish your dad left the lights alone, have you tried explaining it to him? :)

I can't find two of the disks - I must have moved them when I sorted that cupboard, and I haven't a clue where I put them 😊 I'll have another hunt for them later in the week, as there's only a few potential places where they could be (given that I haven't come across them yet) ;)
ooo that Christmas bread sounds tasty :D
That's a really neat idea having somewhere he can't access :D
I explained when I tucked the lights in, but he still didn't seem to get the reasoning behind it (I think because I used to go and look at Christmas lights with him in town, he can't understand how my eyes are a lot more light sensitive now than they used to be). I might try again this year and see if I can have the lights tucked in properly ;)

Some days I am convinced I have house elves living here that hides and breaks stuff for me, and make clothes smaller... or put little holes in them. It is annoying. :P Hopefully it won't take too long to track them down.
That is frustrating that he didn't quite understand why you had a problem with it when you tried to explain. Even if you were okay with it back then, things can change.

blaming it on the house elves sounds like a good idea!! Pity we don't have house elves that mend holes in clothing for us :P
I've painted some baubles with glow-in-the-dark paint for my tree in the hope that they work better than lights for me (at least before I get some different battery lights) ;)

I have a feeling Pusurs claws are to blame for the holes honestly. :P
That is a neat idea! The glow in the dark paint should give an interesting effect too for the lights. :D
I am about to get ready for my work out class. wish me luck I guess. :P

but look at that cute face - how could you possibly blame him for those holes?! :P :P
They don't glow for long (at the moment - I think I need to rearrange the tree a little so they get the light on them a bit more), but the glow is a lot brighter than I'd anticipated, so it works really well :D
oooo I hope the workout class went well!

He is so cute, it is really hard to be annoyed with him for too long. Even if he cover me with fur and ruin clothing and bedding. :P
Glad it is working so well so far. :D I love creative solutions like this one. ;)
The work out class went well, only three times left now. :) Last time right before christmas.

maybe he's just trying to help you keep warm with a little fur coat? ;)
I don't know if that's good or bad for that last one to be just before Christmas!! :P

Sorry, I didn't ghost, I promise. the 30th was spent watching the dog and doing the online grocery orders. It was pretty hellish if I'm honest since dad was at the doctor's office for hours.
the 1st was spent picking up and putting away the bulk of the orders. the morning of the 2nd (around 3am) saw me very ill. I'll spare you the details, but wound up needing mum's help. Then at 6,30 I wound up needing dad's help. I had to call him and get him to come help me since I could barely move. I was shaking, my tummy in tatters, It was pretty awful. I spent most of the day sleeping and barely ate anything. It wasn't till 9.30 that night I actually found something my body didn't mind me having--raspberry jello.
I went to bed praying to feel better. THis morning, My back is hurting this morning (nothing out of the norm there) and tummy still feels wibbly wobbly.
It sure is nice and warm having him on my lap. Very nice in the winter, not so much during the summer. :P
Hehe.. same here.. but at least I get my christmas break. :P
That sounds brutal, I am sorry. :squishes: I hope your tummy and back eases up a bit soon and you start to feel better. :hugs:

I love the HA today :)
How was your dad's doc appointment?
That sounds a nightmare squishes gently I guess that also gets complicated with your medication & the blood test thingies if you're not able to eat much / at all?
that's a point, I can imagine it's bit like knitting a wool blanket during the summer when he's sitting on your lap? ;)
When I used to do dance classes, I found it was really hard to go back, that first class after the Christmas break - it was only a couple of weeks off, but it felt like forever!

Very much so, he is so warm with all that fur. ;) And my flat gets very warm in the summer to begin with.
It doesn't take long when you are not active for you to start noticing that sadly. Wouldn't it be great if we could work out a lot get into shape, and then be done for the rest of our lives? ;)

thanks. I hope so too. Hugs. Anything exciting and new this week?
he had an ear infection. But now we think he’s allergic to it. Hes sick. We told him not to take it today. Hopefully that’ll solve the problem as i still don’t feel great. Lol that does get difficult yes.
but does your flat also get nice and warm in the winter as well? ;)
hehe now that would be perfect!! ;)
Aww that doesn't help either, does it?! Hopefully you're feeling a bit better today at least?

Christmas concert and dinner with some of the ladies from the association yesterday and lunch with dad tomorrow. :) So that should be nice. :) You? feeling better?
I do need some heating in the winter of course, but since my flat is smaller there is not that much space that needs to be heated up so that that helps. It is still very expensive with todays electricity prices tho. :(
That would be the dream for me.. and to be able to eat whatever I wanted without worry.

at least it's not a huge space, but I can imagine it's not exactly making you want to have the heating on to the normal level with the prices being so stupidly high!
They're forecasting a cold snap for us this week (next week's forecasts are a bit silly with one saying it'll be minus 3 C .... I don't think that one is accurate somehow :P) so I'll be digging out my heavy sweatshirt (that one only gets worn of it's really cold!)
