I have high interest in the cello as well... so if I do get more money, I might look into getting one. They have such a rich sound :D

Ours doesn't even do drums :P We used to have a really good family-run music shop but that closed down years ago now :K The cello has a bit more of a mellow kind of tone to me (less likely to sound squeaky on the higher notes too!), but that'd need a lot more space to be able to play! :P

yeah but they sell stands that prevent it from being knocked over so storing it upright takes up less space so that helps with storing it at least.

Stickets to show finger positions on instruments is a great idea. :D I am still feeling wiped out and not being able to be as active as I liked. I think I might need to give up on these meds, even though they do a great job at curbing my appetite.

True, it is easy these days to be a creep and take photos of people without their knowing/consent. :P My iPhone camera is silent, I hope they don't change it tho as I hate those kind of sound effects. I have a couple of cameras, one nicer and a simpler one, but I still only really use my phone to take pics.

it's such a contrast to when I did some work for the local newspaper and we had to get the names (and permission) from everyone who was in the photo before we could submit the pics!

On my old phone I could put my finger over the speaker and muffle the shutter sound.... this one has the speaker on the base so it's no way near where my hand is :K I can just put it into 'do not disturb' mode which would stop the shutter sound completely, if I really get stuck ;)

At least there are a work around for it. ;) Phone cameras are getting pretty good now, so I am usually happy with the photos my iPhone takes.

nods they had local people who would write and take photos, so you might have someone who would cover any news from the local community group, or for their Church. I covered any news from my school, which made it quite easy to find things to write about!

I hate it if I see anyone walking around appearing to be videoing as they walk past me! 😊

My phone is taking a little getting used to still as it has an auto-HDR setting as default.... so some of the colours are appearing more intense than I'd expect :P Which iPhone have you got?

true, but I found the violin hard enough to store in its case so I definitely wouldn't be able to store anything bigger than that! ....although admittedly my guitar is in a soft case on a stand :P

You know you can hang both the violin and guitar on the wall, yes?

slight flaw with that though.... there's no suitable wall space to hang the guitar anywhere! :P The only wall I could've used, backs onto the boiler, so that wall gets too warm to have a guitar on it

I am clueless when it comes to settings for my phone camera. :P I just snap pics and hope they turn out okay. Usually they do if the lighting is not too terrible. I have an iPhone 13 now. :) Pink. 👼

I am quite happy with my phone, granted I don't notice as big of a difference anymore when I upgrade. Not like I used to anyway. :P Some say they have mostly perfected smartphones at this point.. I can see what they mean.

I also had a day work experience with the photography department which was quite fun - there was a politician visiting the town, so I was able to try and get some photos for that (even though I hadn't a clue who he was!) :P

That's very true, especially if you always stick with the same make of phone.... I noticed quite a big difference with mine given that my old one was struggling with basic tasks, but maybe that's also down to the newer Android versions running much smoother (my old one had been unable to be updated for a few years I think)

Yesterday was my doctor appointment for my leg. He was going to leave the cast on, but once I told him how long it already has been, he took it off. The left leg, however, was still having pain in the back of my leg, just above the heal in the achilles tendon. He, once again, have me three shots in it, which was increadibly painful even with some numbing spray. Then did minor surgery on it by cutting off some scar tissue. The rest of the day was pretty painful. In fact, I didn't get sleep until around 8 this morning. Needless to say I really am hoping this does the trick.

Were you able to figure out which person you were suppose to take pictures of? These days you could have googled it.. not so much back then. ;)

At some point phone makers stops providing updates for their older models, while understandable to some degree it still sucks if your phone is still working okay otherwise. Naturally they want you to buy a new one.

fortunately I was with a 'proper' photographer for the day, so I could figure out who I was meant to take the pics of.... and the politician didn't have loads of people with him either, which made it a load easier! The photographer kept making references to photo opportunities that would work given the politician's political 'leaning' (like priming one of the local homeless-charity magazine sellers to offer the politician the chance to buy one), but all of that was totally lost on me :P

nods all they do is give "essential" updates, but there don't seem to be many (if any) of those once your phone has had three updates.... and if you bought it after the first update had been released, then you only get two updates before they stop :K
