OO oo are we talking about questing rewards?! I am totally motivated to do quests for all the items I've gotten that I was missing and some other expensive things that I'm going to hang on to in my vault. (I know better than to throw them in a shop right now.)

Had to run some jobs today for a yearly audit. I don't know how I got to be the primary person of contact but since I only do it once a year, it's always a struggle to remember. That and the old doc I have barely let's me get by.

I just parboiled a bunch of cherry tomatoes (getting overwhelmed) so I'm going to peel them and can them. Got some regular beefsteak tomatoes to do as well and more about to ripen. Just waiting on the jars to dry out a bit from the sanitizer I put on them and I'm going to start peeling and not touch anything else. (Think I might need a 3rd jar. These cherry tomatoes are so big!) Gonna try to save a few for the seeds. <--when I miss a bunch and they come back the next year, they are the biggest and highest producing plants so I'm kinda wondering if they need to go through some sort of freezing process to get them to where they can be re-planted.

Since the bratchild never talks to me, and usually falls asleep during our nice long ride to the orthodontist, I decided to listen to music. I have thought this before, but it seems it still holds true. Two songs make me cry and think of my situation EVERY time I hear them. Have for over a year now. Patty Loveless - You Don't Even Know Who I Am and also by Patty Loveless - How Can I Help You Say Goodbye I have loved both of these songs for years (especially the Say Goodbye one - that one has made me cry since I first heard it, because moving away from my friend) But they seem so much more intense right now I guess.

Anyway. Onto nicer subjects. YES!! Awesome items from questing :P I thought about saving the big stuff, but was like. Meh. I have stuff still moldering in my shop from years ago that is expensive, so in it goes, and if the price drops, it drops and it'll sell eventually. I have even been thinking about having a sale in the sales forums.

Ya know, to be honest, I don't like commenting on Nathan's stuff b/c it brings back some memories of some of the worst years spent w/ my oldest daughter. It became a very strained relationship and while I have regrets about things, she was still a little shit. To be fair, most of her stupid behaviors came from the absolute ignorance and maliciousness of my own mother, to which I still haven't forgiven b/c it caused significant damage. And not that I've raised one but everything that I've seen, boys can be real assholes, lol.

You're definitely a southern gal. My sad songs you probably wouldn't have heard of but I think since they're 'newer', none of them make me cry. OH, there is still one or 2 that chokes me up and ... hahah... it IS country - Love Me, Collin Raye and I know there's a more semi recent one that reminds me of my dad.
I'm very music orientated so I can change my mood w/ music or go w/ the flow of how I'm already feeling. Hell a ton of times when I'm in the car, using Spotify, I just listen to movie scores and go through the range of emotions each scene/music will take you through. I guess it is one helluva range, really. For long trips, I would put on classical for my girls when they were young and did when I had a niece and my youngest for our first trip to TN several years ago. Enigma is another group/band I used to play a lot for my kids when they were young.... so was Floyd.

I have 4 regular sized Ball glass jars completed. One didn't have the lid on right and I dropped it, causing the seal to break. (There's a fine line between tightening too much and not enough, lol.) Gonna have to go out and pick the latest batch... after I watch this doc on Kevin Spacey and do the catboxes. Feel kind of enthused to start putting up the grow lights and moving a couple slow growing things inside.
Oh yeah... just watered the plants again.... Few more waterings to go before they're all moved back inside.

Hahah yea, I'm more southern than anything else at this point for sure. I love country. I will tolerate other music as long as it doesn't do F bombs every 5 seconds (thats my least favorite curse word)...but for myself, I usually turn on country. Sometimes oldies (like, The Everly Brothers, Elvis, The Beatles The Monkeys, The Beach Boys, etc)

The funniest thing to me - the first country song I heard was "Friends in Low Places": - and I absolutely HATED IT! I thought it was SOOO STUPID. Guess what I love listening and singing to now? :P hahahahah

Last day of summer vacation, and I'm honestly sad. Frell is ready for school to start again, they're over break, but Lily and Iz aren't thrilled about it.. and obviously, neither am I. :(

Nathan and Katie love to listen/sing to that, its why I know it (but NO I cannot sing along to it like they can)- sooo after I did Kokomo, I listened to the muppets sing Bohemian Rapsody ROFLMAO. I LOVE ANIMAL!!!!! I could not stop laughing and giggling at the video guys!! :P

Been working on my science lab.l Got 206/210 on the total score. (So like 96-98?) :P I do have to do the stupid thing again because I didn't get answers to all of the "you'll need this info for the test" notes :P lol I did get some of it, but lost track of what I was trying to keep track of (if you know what I mean) so I'll do it again, get a 100, and hopefully get the notes. Stupid thing took me an hour and a half tho!! :o Dang. Hopefully repeat won't take as long.

I know what you mean about certain types of music, Kat. That's my favorite curse word but I certainly don't need to hear it every other sentence in a song. My least favorite is bitch. My gawd I hate that word and it's connotations. Getting really sick of the "karen" term being used for every single female that starts and argument or acts up.

Yea it is stupid that certain words get used so badly. I am just really not a cursing person. TOTALLY hear ya on the C word. I won't even spell that one out and people know I'm REALLY angry when I've used it to describe someone.

I can't say that I've gotten anything off my WL - maybe 1 - but I don't have a ton of things WL'd that other than my main pet, need for food or books. Most I'm just saving, except for plushies and gourmand foods. Btw, I'm no where even close to those new achievements.

So, it's my FRIDAY! I went to the store and tanned. Got some more wine plus cheese, summer sausage, and black grapes for a day of just relaxing w/ a more European style (my aunt was French) and some stuff to make cheese coney's tonight after having some regular drinks.
Picked up some flea meds for the cats and a shampoo for the dog which just took any bit of raise that I recently got, and stopped by the opto to order my usual contacts.
(This is perhaps the only reason I really like a salaried position, lol. I can do things during the day/morning or whenever and not have to worry about my time.) I did go w/out any arch support and just my flip flops, which made things a little achy on my foot and made me walk pretty slow, but it's gotten a lot better.

I wish I hadn't taught myself to be such a swearer. What I've figured out - after decades - is that my lack of patience has always been so high that when those times come up and I get aggravated, I don't give myself adequate time to think about a more intelligent way to get a point across. :P I've been really working on it but a lifetime of one way makes it hard to change habits. That does not mean I'm giving up! I work on it every, single, day. <3

Well I wanted to cuss this morning. And right now a bit. I'm still at work and can't clock out til 445. I got to work late at 845. Got to get my 8hrs. Went to leave this morning as usual and car wouldn't crank. Tried to use the battery booster. Didn't work. Called hubby made sure I was using the booster right. Still nothing. Finally a little grinding noise. He gets a guy he's friends with who was off work already and headed my direction to come pick up me and Nathan and take us. He tried to jump it off with jumper cables but that didn't work either. So he drove us in.... Hubby been at house since around noon/1pm messing with it. Getting a new battery and trying that. Then he'll come get us No idea how I'll get to work tomorrow if it doesn't get fixed

Doesn't sound like the battery, IF s/one tried to jump it and it didn't start. Starter or alternator would be my guess. Have had plenty of battery issues over the ... decades ... and a few times it was the former. Really sorry to see your frustration... but hey, cars happen! If it's been quite some time since you've last had any issues, count yourself lucky. (Ik you're not feeling it at this time.........and I'm not helping.) I've had both a flat at work, w/ a flat spare tire that luckily s/one had one of those plugin things I could use to inflate it, and a dead battery that I didn't even have jumpers for. I now always carry those jumpers and a 4 way that I bought that folds up in my trunk.

Nothing wrong w/ cussing. In fact, I saw a study some time ago in a psyche journal that said it can help relieve stress - especially when you don't do it all the time (like me).

Well, he replaced the battery and its working. So I guess it was the battery? He said maybe weak cell vs whole thing dead.... I dunno. Whatever. As long as my car works. A couple months? 6months? Maybe? Long enough I don't remember when the last time it wouldn't start was. I do know it was at school. Cuz the principal was about to jump me off when I tried it again and it cranked. Hubby cleaned the battery that time I think, corrosion had built up. I didn't cuss. Well maybe like, said Damn or something LOL Yea it can be a stress relief to cuss I agree. I do it in my head a LOT more than I do out loud.

And OMG I FREEEAAAAAKED out when I got in the jeep. I buckled up and then shrieked just about and made him stop the car - jumped out, and started swiping off ants. I WAS COVERED eeeeeeek. I can't stand ants. We wiped a whole bunch off the seatbelt and discovered they were all up inside the stupid contraption the seat belt is stored in. I refused to wear the seat belt and sat leaning forward a bit all the way home. and shuddered and my skin crawled alllll the way freaking home because there were ants every freaking where in the jeep. all over the dash, window, side where the seatbelt was, the air vents. creeeeeep me out. I hate ants. skin crawling STILLLLLLL And then because I can't catch a break - I had to go to the store for personal items. So now I am finally home.

WHAAT?? WHY were there ants in his vehicle!!!!? Oh gawd, after that old movie about ants I actually freak out over them, too. (The movie is pretty old... maybe late 70's? New housing subdivision was getting done and they dug into a huge anthill/pile/mound/whatever.)

Ohhh yeah, dead dead battery will not take a charge. I've had corrosion build up before but my older brother would always check those cells. Still have no understanding of battery construction. Think the cells might be for heat distribution? F if I know. I've taught many a youngins how to properly place cables and jump a car and that's what matters to me. (although I'm curious now and want to read but I've already got a buzz and can't manage more than typing, lol) I put off getting a new battery for several months b/c usually, I could use a charger at night to keep it at a minimum to where I wouldn't have to get a jump at the end of the day but after 6mth, it didn't keep it throughout the day and after that jump and an overnight charge, I went to Rural King (a small type of tractor supply type store) and got the battery replaced. They do it for you. :D

No idea. We both live off dirt driveways, he is in a trailer park, out in the boondocks....so ants could have been from either place, I'm going for his tho, because my car doesn't have them that bad and I don't see how he could have gotten infested in a few hours of being parked here. We've always gotten ants in the cars at various times around here. Its awful. Even super clean cars get them. UGH. I never watched a movie but seeing them crawl makes MY skin crawl. Especially if I see them in a line for some reason or just a whoooole bunch like today.

I dunno what the cells are for either. i know there are water cells (I've seen him put water in a battery before, which to me is a WEIRD thing, but ok whatever). I can do jumper cables and the battery charging box but sometimes when it doesnt seem to be working (the battery box) I verify I did do it correctly :P He said he really had to bang the thing to get it to release, evidently there is some wedge type thing helping hold it in place and it was really stuck in there :P But he did it. I probably wouldn't have been able to budge it, tho I could change the battery if it wasn't stuck. Heavy dang things they are tho!

I am just so glad I chose pot roast for dinner tonight, because as blaaaaah as I am feeeling tonight, it was so nice to just do some biscuits and can veg and call it a night. I am going to go try and do some schoolwork tho. Been doing my farm just now, after eating.

Yeaaaahh.. there are (lack of words) things that are electric conducive and surround the battery connector and, well, they would either melt or corrode. The cells always make me think of a nuclear reactor. :O Needs cooling.

Just minced up the onion for my coneys. GAWD I hate that. Even w/ glasses on - which I thought is supposed to help but then again I've tried EVERYTHING (except chewing gum... yeah that's a thing) - to help w/ the eye watering thing. At least I can practice cutting against my fore knuckles, as I close my eyes b/c they're watering and burning so much. Or maybe using one of those tools that does it for you, faster, so at least you aren't eye watering as long? :P I don't do onions so I'm not very experienced at it. Hubby eats them so he chops them, I walked away LOL The few times I did anything for onions I did it quick as I could. Usually just a little too, for us. No one eats a lot of it in anything.

I really would prefer not to have to do either of these classes, but I am going to work at it and do the best I can!!!

What a day... It's been basically pouring ALL morning and just when I thought I could go out and get all the different animal foods I need, it starts pouring again. Well, drivers around here SUCK in the rain, even worse than snow! Should've turned around when one idiot decided to turn on a red light, I had the green arrow and I had to honk at him while he continued his turn and I was in the middle of mine. Thankfully, not going fast.
Get off an exit behind a very slow individual - which is where I'm about to lose my shit on this part of the text but I promise to try my hardest to consider others in this thread - I'm following her a couple car lengths back, we're going about 20mph (it IS one helluva curved exit ramp, plus all the water on the roads) and just when it's about to fork this @^#%^@(*! just STOPPED abruptly in between the fork and if it had been dry, I would've been able to stop fine but noooo, brakes lock up and I start sliding so I turned my car away from her stupid fracking RAV4 and got a small swipe in. Now I've got a small dent in the side of my car and she only has some black scuffs but they want to exchange insurance - fine, we'll do that b/c I'm not going to have you make a claim that it was my fault that you couldn't decide which way to go.
Unfortunately, without a dashcam, it's left to those asshole adjusters to decide who's at fault and without footage of exactly what happened, the person behind you is nearly always at fault. What I'm so pissed about is my insurance is already ridiculous and w/ the new car payment, it's been a struggle all year. If this claim makes it go up again, I think I'm going to blow a GD fuse!

Oh and worse than that.... only ONE person in the car spoke english and it wasn't even the driver.

Oh crap that sucks :( If I only had scuffs I wouldn't bother with insurance. Small dent I probably wouldn't either. Some people tho. Did they actually HAVE insurance? A lot of people want to just claim off yours. She may have even done that on purpose hoping someone would hit her. I would hope that was NOT the case, but it wouldn't surprise me at all. I absolutely hate having a car payment and the full coverage insurance required. Its so expensive. Worth it if you get in a major accident and have to replace the car or whatever, but still. Soooo expensive.
