I just love jellyfish! I have a bunch in my wardrobe, and saved in my inventory haha. Of course.. I don't like them very much when I'm at the beach.. but from afar, I love them!

EWWW the event lag is dreadful

Well the funeral coverage has ended. It started at 8am and ended 5:10pm. Must admit found it quite moving.

Yeah, been hitting lag pockets, myself. Wanted to play in the wardrobe but I'm too impatient when things take more than a second to load. Too many people on right now to catch anything out of the shop.

I don't think I'd even watch a presidential funeral. Too many formalities and whatnot. Plus I just wouldn't have that kind of attachment to such types.

I love the royal family it’s why I watched it. Ian hates them 😂 we couldnt be more different. People either love or hate or don’t really care about the monarchy

It’s been declared a bank holiday in the nearly everything is shut. Shops, pubs cinemas even McDonald’s. The majority of the tv channels all showing the funeral. Radio too. So you really can’t get away from it so to speak.

We will get another another bank holiday next summer when it’s Charles’ coronation

I think that is a very long time for a funeral! It would be interesting to see some of the special things that are done, but that is too long. Charles has to wait a whole year before he is crowned king??? Weird. I guess for mourning? Or is it just that long til a huge ceremony for it....or..???

A lot of people show up for free stuff...more than during events I feel like. I laughed while watching the numbers climb yesterday too.

The same thing would happen at work when they offered free stuff that had the company logo on it... like half the building would show up and there was a line like you wouldn't believe.

No Charles is king. However the official coronation won’t take place till next year. It was the same with the queen, her father died in 1952; however her coronation was in 1953. Most of it was the build up. The ceremony at Westminster abbey and then the journey to Windsor castle and the ceremony there.

Ahh I thought it might just be a wait for the ceremony even tho he is actually king. I wasn't sure. Honestly I wasn't sure he would be king, she lived so long he is old too! I wondered if it might go to William. (I didn't know if that would even be allowed, I just wondered). I dont know about having a monarchy ruling the land or whatever but I've always been fascinated with royalty myself. Just the thought of it I guess. Princes and princesses and all the fanciness. I like fairy tales and all so it's kind of of that way for me. A fairy tale. It's interesting. But not for everyone. I think it would also be too restrictive for the majority of normal people nowadays!!! To have to live by certain rules and all and have everyone scrutinizing your every move. Poor royals in that respect!!

Anyhooo. I've gotten some good nabs today while randomly popping on at work (bad me hahaha) it's Naptime right now which is why I'm on a bit more chatting....

No way, ! Not offended at all. Find it odd, lol, but unless it has a direct affect on me (person/event/etc), I try not to bring up the negative aspects around people that have affection towards them. It's like s/one bashing on your favorite song or movie - Why? People like that need to be kicked in a few places.

In a good discussion, a person playing devil's advocate can really open up the table for other aspects of the topic and people can learn even more than they started with. Nowadays, there's rampant censorship so not only is having an opinion not so much allowed, it's discouraged and prevented from being discussed. (We have a LOT of that going on here in the states.)

I’m not saying the monarchy isn’t tarnished. The whole Meghan situation and the comment about Archie’s colour. All the brits know it was prince Philip who said it. Yet everyone say it was the queen. If it was would they really have called their little girl after someone who said that. The whole Diana scenario and fergie, and Andrew. And too much more to mention some goings decades back. My mum was a royalist and I had it drummed into me a young age.

The monarch doesn’t really run the country any more that’s all down to the prime minister and the mp’s. They oversee everything though. Charles is all about the environment so I can see him butting heads with the prime minister and the members of parliament. Which to be honest is what the country needs.

Perhaps the monarchy should be abolished. Or can Charles and William give it the shakeup that it most definitely needs. Guess time will tell.

I said to Ian that when I lost my mum I was in pieces. However I could grieve in private and not aired to millions and millions of people around the world to scrutinise

Think Diana touched the heart of SO many people. Her death was very sad, and sketchy.
