I've still got a few things from Keelhauliday to get this year (I wasn't able to restock them last year), but I did manage to get most things Niamh was needing ;)
I wasn't too sure about this look, but I figured the dog looked pleased with his little dip in the sea :P

good job about getting most of the things.
lol it was cute. What's on top of the bg in your newest one?
It's and over the .... I kept adding things until it looked right :P
oooo I love the purpley look today :D

thats a cool mix of items :D thanks :D I was going for Cheshire cat lol
Hi gals! I got home a bit late last night after a great trip! We arrived at Aberdeen, and we visited Loch Ness on a boat trip. :) After that we headed to Isle of Skye! Before we ended up on the Jokobite Steam Train known for HP! :D We had proper English afternoon tea there. :D I got to try clotted cream too! Which I liked. And even haggis crips.. well I ate one. :P Found so many stores selling HP stuff. o-o Ended up buying a backpack and a t shirt. xD After there we went to Glasgow and for the last couple of days Edinburgh! Edinburgh was amazing, so much beautiful architecture and history.
We arrived at Aberdeen as the late Queen passed close by, and when we arrived at Edinburgh, the royal family and the queen was there for the people to pay their respects and ceremonies. It was almost eerie how the timing worked out. o-o So many people and we were in the middle of it, and more police and security that you will ever see. Felt like being part of history. I saw the house were Rowling wrote the second book and her house in Edinburgh too. Did some shopping too. Bought a cashmere sweater, a wool sweater, scarf and some other things. xD When we sat in the bus on our way to the airport, we saw the royal familys rolls royce!
Paddy: I decided to just use my mobile phone for pictures, as I didn't feel like carrying around a camera. I still got some nice photos though. :D
Raven: Hope everything is well with you and the fam. :)

I was wondering how your trip would go, given all the events that happened over here just as you headed off! I have to admit clotted cream is a favourite of mine laughs although I've never tried haggis crisps (or proper Haggis either) :P
That worked really well then to not only get to see the sights, but also to be there while history was being written :) I can imagine it felt a bit overwhelming with the number of people there though? (I saw the tv coverage of London yesterday, and that looked like it was utterly crammed with people in places)
That makes sense to stick with your phone - one less thing to have to carry as well ;)

I thought of you when I was served clotted cream. :P It tasted nice with my scone and jam. ;) I guess I should say haggis flavored crisps, that would be more accurate. I was not brave enough to taste proper haggis. :P
It was pretty overwhelming! We had lunch (booked well ahead of time of course), on the street where everything went down... so much people there. We just had to get out of there as best we could after our meal. Tons of police and security everywhere.
The first hotel we stayed at were from the 1800s, had a staircase from Titanic, and a man wearing a kilt playing the bagpipe as we entered. :D

Thanks. :D anything new with you? :D

:d I was surprised how well it covered the unicorn too :P it worked purrrfectly ;) and today's looks is awesome :D What's the background you've used?
but did you put the cream or the jam on the scone first? (one way is the traditional Cornish way, the other is traditional Devonshire :P) hehe I had a packet of Haggis flavoured crisps a while ago, and wasn't even brave enough to try one crisp! :P
I can't blame you on not wanting to linger too long after you'd eaten ;)
hehe what did you make of the sound of the bagpipes? I used to do Scottish COuntry dancing (I started just before I was 7) and actually hated the sound of bagpipes 😊

not overly. I worked on mum's birthday gift that I gave her months ago. At the time it was unfinished as I wanted her to pick what she wanted but it's taken awhile to get her to commit to something lol so no I've FINALLY got an idea I drew it all on before she could change her mind lmao. I'll start painting it tomorrow most likely. I also finished a Christmas pressie I was working on. Feel good about that. Not much else though as I was in a lot of pain from the major running around I did yesterday by myself.
I like the purples in todays :D thank you :) hmm... lemme check...
Sounds like you kept plenty busy. I spent yesterday going to therapy. Joy and trying to fix the flashing/flickering computer screen. Not entirely fixed, but better at least. :sighs: I hope the pain get better soon. :hugs:
For me it seemed only natural to put on the jam first.. and then the clotted cream. I didn't know about the traditions. Which do you use? :D
I am a picky eater, so I surprised myself there. lol At least I can say I tried something Haggis now. :P I have to admit the bagpipe is not my favorite instrument ever, but it was pretty neat that they arranged for someone to play for us as we arrived at the hotel the first night. :D Such an old historical hotel too!

ugh computer flashing not fun ;/ thanks. I think we're getting there. they say it's half the fun lmao.
Thanks :D The background was my second prize from WS, so I thought I'd go with a purple look ;) Your fishy look today is brilliant :D :D
Devon is clotted cream first then the jam, whereas Cornwall is jam first followed by cream.... I always do the jam first, as it feels more natural to put the cream on the top (but that also works well given that some of my family is from Cornwall, so that's the way they'd say it should be done :P) ;)
That definitely makes for a memorable entry to the hotel! :D

cool :D I got as my second round which was a wl item that GR decided to send lol. Why thank you :D I got the fishy the other day and just had to try it. XD
I wondered what you would choose (or if you'd resort to WL items) in the end ;)
It's brilliant, although Niamh reckons that fish would take a lot of feeding :P

well she resorted to wl lol -snickers- It is a REALLY big fish. Although there was a koi (after looking it up) that says it was 90 lbs! That's 6.42 stones. Big fishy Ooh and another cute ha today :D
it still works though :P and no doubt the same will happen for the third item as well? ;)
😮 whoa, that's definitely a massive fish!! I wouldn't want to be responsible for that! :P
:d thanks - Niamh wanted to use something that doesn't see much daylight, hence the body mod outfit ;)

Same here, since when I have jam and whipped cream on things I tend to put the jam first as well. ;) It was a very memorable trip for sure. :D I am wanting to see Ireland too possibly, maybe that will be our next trip. :D
Indeed. lol I had to meet up with my pet sitter today to get my keys and bought some pastries. xD Time to relax now mostly for the rest of the day.

If you put the jam on first, you don't get the cream mixed in with it (and I reckon it's much easier to put the cream on top of the jam anyway!) ;) ooo Ireland would be an amazing trip :D :D
