:nods: it is so agonizing! I have been told I am a descent writer, at least non fiction, but I don't enjoy it much.
Yup. xD And do very poor research only latching on to what serves to "prove" their point. :P

Yeah if you don't really enjoy it, I can see why you'd not want to really do too much writing ;)
I was hoping for an uneventful day today (Dad had to have his cataract operation done), but I could smell petrol indoors and volunteered to go and see where it was coming from as there's several parked cars in the street that it could be. Of course I then realise it's my car on our drive that's dripping :K so I've had to move it (hoping that parking it at a better angle will stop the drip temporarily), rinse the drive and the wheel / wheel arch of the car, then I'll check on it later (I might see if I can put some card under the car just to see if there's any more drips) and see how it looks before Mum rings the garage to see if they can check it over & resolve whatever the problem was. So not only do I now have to get my car repaired, but it's the first time I've really driven since 2006! ....and I'm utterly zapped already 😊

I had a blog for a while, book blog, but got rid of it since I lacked the motivation to write. ;)
Oh no. :( I hope it won't be too costly to fix! Have you spotted more drips? I have to take my vacuumcleaner for a walk today and do some laundry. And change bedding. Yawning just thinking about it. :)

I started four different blogs laughs but I haven't had the motivation to keep them updated for ages now 😊
There's not been more drips, but the car was parked at a different angle so it's possible wherever the hole is, that it's not on that part if it's not parked on the drive. The garage mechanics came to collect the car this morning and so far they seem to think it might be the plastic where the fuel cap is, that's split (maybe from the heat), but they'll put the car on their ramp and give it a proper check over.
I think after all those house chores, you deserve a sit down with a slice of cake or something ;)
[edit] They checked all over the car, and of course didn't find any sign of leaks at all! So all they can think at the moment is the fact that the car was reasonably full with petrol, plus the angle of the drive (Dad parked further away from the garage door than I usually would, so the back of the car was more on a slope) that's what made it leaked out. But they said to keep an eye on it, so if I do find it leaking again I'll do a video on my phone to show where it's coming from ;) And the best bit - they didn't charge anything! So I'm going to get Mum to take some biscuits & chocolate bars to the garage for them as a thank you :D

thanks gals. I finally got rid of the migraine but then I was sick last night/this morning and wound up having to a bunch of laundry so it's not been a fun day -sighs-
Hopefully you're feeling better today squishes How's your foot doing now?

Laundry is always a good time. Uggh. I just got killed in my game, losing a ton of tedious progress so I switched off my ps5. :K
Blogging is suppose to be fun anyways (unless it is your job I guess). So I am not going to force it. ;)
That was really nice of them to not charge you for it. :D Sounds like it won't be expensive after all. :) Fingers crossed there won't be anymore leaks. :)

nods I tried getting some affiliate links so my blog would bring in a little (literally just pence) bit of money, but the ones I wanted told me my blog wasn't suitable (??) and the ones I did get haven't actually had any clicks that pay out :P So I figured I might as well just keep them as blogs for me, rather than trying to get anything out of them :P
And yeah, I was totally amazed when they said they wouldn't charge me! They also sorted out a rogue cable that was dangling down by the driver's knees (I think that's the light for the alarm, but they weren't sure what it was, as it wasn't an original part for that car), by tucking it under the dashboard so it won't dangle again ;)

pain meds are definitely helping. I hate having to take them but they are necessary :/
I'm very frustrated at the pain levels I'm having when I walk around the house. My hips and legs are protesting. I know it's because I've been forced to do so little walking :/ It's so not cool. It'll take time to get them back to any semblance of normal.
which game was this? Sorry for the game woes. -hugs-
ooo I love the HA-less look today :D
I try to avoid pain meds unless it's absolutely essential too, but at least they're helping squishes
Did the doc give you any kind of exercises to do, to try and get your hips and legs happy with walking again, or were you just told to start walking?

Blogging because you enjoy it, rather than hoping to make money from it is probably the way to go. I would like to find a way to earn some money, the little I can earn on my disability that is, but not sure what that would be.
You must have been happy not being stuck with a big bill to pay. :)
Still Persona 5. LOL And it was a silly random encounter too, not even a boss. Will try again soon. :) Never been a fan of random encounters in games.. they feel like busy-work most of the time. but otherwise it is an amazing game. Seriously.

nods I thought much the same about wanting to earn a little bit (we've got a limit on how much / how many hours you can work if you're on particular disability benefits) but each time I tried working towards something, everything else seemed to go wrong, so I figured it wasn't something I was meant to do! 😊
Definitely! I've not been keeping up with regular garage services for my car (it doesn't get used much, so it seemed pointless having a service each year) so I was a bit concerned that a hole had developed or that even the tank was starting to rust through, which would've been a pretty expensive thing to get repaired!

thanks. I love yours too :) I didn't get those dinos yet, but I want 'em.
yeah they are very helpful. Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't wanna take 'em though lmao.
No he didn't. I see him Weds so I can ask if there's anything I can do. I think it's just slowly increase what you do -shrugs-
ugh that bites. Glad you're having fun though. I'm working on a big cross stitch.
Ohh, fun. :D I barely started now on my 3rd diamond painting. lol
It is the same here, if you earn too much you will loose your disability benefits. :) But earning a little bit on the side would be nice. I do surveys online and earn money via paypal and gift cards. So I sometimes get to buy free videogames at least. Boring as hell though. :P
I would be concerned about rust too, if it is stored outdoors. But it seems like your car is fine for now hopefully. :)

I ended up getting the edibles for Kosmo to eat as well (darn gourmand pet :P) Your HA looks really great today too - what's the dress you've used?
My dad will take painkillers almost as soon as he has a slight headache, but me & Mum are the same, and only really take them if it's absolutely necessary to function ;) Hopefully the appointment goes smoothly - I think if it was me I'd ask if there were any exercises he'd recommend, although it's possible he'll just tell you to walk and that's it :P
that's a neat idea with the surveys - I started trying to do that, but got bored half way through the first one 😊 I tend to enter a lot of competitions, so although they don't give cash prizes, it saves me needing to buy some things if I win (my latest prize was a year's supply of porridge laughs only trouble is storing it all!!)
nods Several years ago I had a lot of rust treated on the car, and I think they also put a rust-prevention thing under the doors (that's an area that's quite common for rust on my type of car apparently), but of course things like the petrol tank aren't possible to see for yourself to check!

Oh, taking those surveys is one of the most boring things a person can do I am sure of it. :P But the extra videogames and money is kinda worth it. And I do it quickly while watching tv usually. I enter contests as well. I have not won that much at all, the best thing I have gotten is a lego set I used a christmas gift for my nephew. :)
I feel like cars can be real money sinks, so it is always good to prevent future issues if you can. :D

That definitely makes it worth it! I seem to go ages without winning anything, then get lucky with a decent prize - but I do tend to enter loads on social media laughs ooo I bet your nephew was pleased with that one :D
nods yeah they can really take a lot of money if you aren't careful ;) Thankfully this year they've changed the laws around how they price insurance (they can no longer charge existing customers more than a new customer would have to pay for the same car), so I've saved about £100 through that (it's surprising how much I was kind of over-paying really!!)

Update: I had my foot doc appt today. It didn't go as well as I would have liked for sure. I received two injects each with four medications (one fast acting and one slow acting steroid and one fast and slow acting anti-inflammatory) in them and its not only made me in so much pain I'm near tears and had to resort to using my scooter. I really hope these help. One location was really to help with scar tissue which is surprising since it took so long to heal there. -shrugs- Anyway the meds threw me for a loop and have plummeted my mood (they are known for doing that.) and they also made me so tired that I fell asleep hard--for nearly 3 hours and woke very groggily with a pounding headache. He also told me I have to buy more shoes and maybe more orthotics, which we don't really have the money for. So all in all it's not been the best of days for me.
paddy-- I like your ha :) Why thanks. River's dress is {item=Vanity Dear Dress} I told him about the walking pain and he told me about my sucky back and hit a spot on my spine that made me yelp. He didn't touch that hard. then I got a lecture on always wearing my otho shoes. He did say part of it is pain problems and I'm to bring my othro shoes with their insoles so he can see if I need to order new insoles. -sighs- I'm supposed to wear them inside and outside. So I need at least one more pair as I'm not going in the back to step on doggy landmines and then going around the house. Eh not today my friend. Today I'm rather blah. How are you
pinkpanther lol and you'll be buying more I sense :D
I am sorry you are dealing with so much pain and discomfort still after your foot surgery. :squishes:
I might or might not have ordered some more things. lol
Most of what I enter is on social media also, but I guess I have poor luck. lol Many contest require you to sign up for newsletters or allow them to call you to sell you things. No thanks to that!
That is a good amount to save. :D It does pay off to sometimes check for better deals on things like phone, internet and insurance. :D Or even contact them to ask for better deals, especially if you had better offers elsewhere.

from what I've heard about steroid injections (they wanted to do that on my wrist if the other treatment didn't really work), I'm not surprised on the pain levels! squishes gently
That stinks on needing yet more shoes & orthotic too :K I'm exacatly the same with shoes - I have outdoor ones and indoor trainers / sandals as no way am i wearing my outdoor shoes in the house!
That's a striking HA today :D And Niamh says thank you - she wasn't too sure what look to go for, so she just kept insisting on more items until it seemed 'right' :P
I use a separate email address for newsletters like that - otherwise I'd be swamped with useless marketing laughs But I never tick any boxes to allow either phone marketing or anything sent snail mail ;)
nods it can take a lot of leg work (well, phone calls :P) but there's definitely some good deals out there if you're prepared to put the time in to find them ;)
