It is always good to stock up on things that has a long shelf life as long as you have room to store it. :D I lived with a very low income for many years, so you learn to make do. ;)

Annoying that the sound of their parties carries over so well. Especially if it keeps you up at night. I don't even have much traffic outside, so it is pretty quiet for the most part.

I think if I ever am able to have my own place, that's what I'd end up doing ;)

Thankfully it wasn't too hot, so I could have both windows shut and used my ear plugs to block out any residual noise - but it would've been nice to have the windows open and not use the ear plugs (neighbours are away, so there's nothing that would wake me up suddenly of a morning at the moment - they sometimes have a visitor of a morning who has a smoker's cough, and that sound carries through brick walls way too easily!)

Our street is pretty quiet, apart from the sound of the recycling collection lorry beeping as it reverses (they've been starting the collections earlier to compensate for the hot weather) - I don't think I could handle living on a street where there was constant traffic all day and night! 😊

There are some good ways to save on food cost. Food has gotten more expensive lately too, along with other things, so it is good to save money where you can.

It is not like you can tell people to stop couching. Must be pretty loud for you to be able to hear it so well! It really is nice to live on a street with little traffic. One flat i lived it we had a tram passing by from early in the morning to around midnight. Fun times. :P I think it really messed up my sleeping, even after I moved out.

yeah that's one reason why I want to try and be more sorted with the allotment preparation in the autumn, so we can plant more stuff next year - this year I had all the plans, but nothing really got planted other than the usual broad beans and runner beans 😊

nods I've never understood how the sound travels through the walls so easily.... that neighbour's visitor's cough is loud enough to wake me up, and the neighbour the other side says he can hear when our toilet is flushed o.O I think the noise of a tram passing by that often would drive me utterly crazy! 😊

Sorry for the delay, been plagued with migraines :/

Paddy, Nah lol not something I'd be doing on my pets thanks :P how many pets do you have now? over 100 for sure. LOL I'm still on 41 :D You did a good job and likewise with the new HA. Thank you. Went with blues today :)

Lene: did you get any tasks done? Hmm, well I'm working on a cross stitch that I'm hoping to gift for Christmas, but I don't know if there's enough time... guess we'll see. I've also been doing a diamond dot and reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

erm I've got goes to look it up 123 at the moment ;)

Thanks :d I couldn't resist trying to use that washing line, even if I did have to layer a load of stuff to cover the path on the background so it looked more like a garden than a park :P

And all those blues look brilliant! :D

Hopefully the migraines will vanish quickly squishes gently

It is always nice to grow something you can eat. :D I have been able to eat a few strawberries of my plant. I hope it survives. :P

The houses must be pretty close then I imagine? It was sure nice to not have the tram pass by. It was so loud! And sometimes they needed to make repairs too, which was even more noisy :P

Ohh, sounds relaxing with the diamond dot and reading. :D I have gotten some things done lately from my to do list., so getting there slowly. I finished my second painting the other day. :D So I wanted to show you guys. xD

fresh strawberries taste so much better than ones you buy in the shops :D Hopefully you'll get some extra strawberry plants from it once it finishes fruiting for the season, so you have extra plants for next year! ;)

Yeah, they're terraced so there's just a thick wall between each house in the row.

And I can imagine that the tram line repairs usually happened late evening / overnight so they didn't interrupt the trams too much?

So after four months and one week the cast... is incredibly off!!!! I was able to take a proper bath and shower. Oh it was lovely. Found out I need a new razor blade LMAO as it can't get through my little forest. I'm on orders to be gentle with it for the next 3 weeks and then I come back and see him to have him check it and see what he wants to do with the left foot. The right foot is very ginger right now and feels disconnected to my body and the knee kinda bows a bit as it's not used to the leg without the cast.

Paddy- haha thats a lot of pets. it really looks wonderful thanks :D No migraine today but I'm wiped after walking and showering.

Lene: OOh that looks lovely

whoa, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet that does feel really strange to be cast-less after all that time though ;) How're you getting on with Melody now the cast is off - is she a little calmer around you now, or still wanting to sit on your leg / foot?

hehe Niamh says that's still not enough pets 😇 Well that's a positive on the migraine vanishing, but I'm not surprised you're wiped out after all that!

it really does. Well I don't plan to be with Mels today. I don't want her hitting the foot and I'm really wiped out anyway. So we'll have to see tomorrow. LMAO Niall agress. Oh nice new one. You're totally having fun with those new wearables huh?

that's a wise idea - is she behaving for your parents at least? ;) hehe well Niall does have about a million pets anyway, doesn't he? :P

Thanks :) Yeah, I couldn't resist trying out another one of those benches - there's a bit less layering in this one though ;)

Glad to hear that you were finally able to get out of that pesky cast! I can't imagine wearing one in the summer heat was comfortable either. I had to chuckle at your forest situation. xD

I will be trying to get some extra strawberry plants from it. :D I have to agree freshly picked strawberries are the best. I can eat so many of them. lol

That is exactly what they did when they did their repairs. So it meant even less sleep. I guess it is no wonder I ended up with insomnia.

what's your favourite thing to eat strawberries with, or do you just at them straight from the plant? ;)

:K That would've been a complete nightmare for me!

It wasn't too bad albeit I was mostly indoors anyway as it was too hard and too painful to do much walking and all.
hehe well it is a bit of growth there and what have you :P

well I guess it depends on who you ask. Dad doesn't have much patience for her so she gets scolded a lot and I don't think it's really half of her fault, but what can I say or do? I've told him he needs to think of her as a toddler and just try to redirect her to something more acceptable but he just doesn't seem to have any patience for her and she gets extra board. I'm gonna have to do a lot of treat training again as she's stopped doing commands because dad doesn't follow through with them -sighs-

Well it looks great :D lol yeah he has a LOT of pets lmao.

ooo I love the new HA-less look today :D Awww well that's definitely going to get her really confused! Hopefully it won't be long before you can start working on the treat training again, and she'll pick up it quickly! ;)

Did you ever manage to work out just how many pets Niall actually has? :P

LOL! I call it winter fur when I get too lazy to shave my legs in the winter. xD I do love smooth legs but shaving is boring. :nods:

I will just wash them and eat them without anything. :D I do like milk on my strawberries sometimes.

It wasn't fun. Sometimes it felt like the flat was rattling too. lol

I've never tried them with milk, although ice cream or cream is definitely great with them :d This year though I've been having my strawberries with yoghurt just for a change ;)

That must've been quite freaky, especially overnight!

I rarely have cream at home, so I use milk isntead sometimes. lol Seems healthier too. :P But normally I don't use anything on them. Love strawberry jam as well. :)

If not freaky, certainly annoying and made sleep difficult!

yeah cream is definitely just a special occasion kind of thing ;) A relative usually would post a small pot of Cornish clotted cream to me as a Christmas present, but a couple of times it hadn't kept cold when it was delivered, so it wasn't usable :K

I bet you're pleased there's nothing like that near where you live now! ;)
