It's meant to last from Sunday through to early Wednesday (at least that's what they're saying at the moment), with the temperature in London apparently possibly going to reach 40C.... but thankfully they're not forecasting it that high for where I am!

Doctor is back from Africa. (for those I didn't tell he called on Wednesday to check on me and I told him about what happened whilst he was gone.) I have to say I'm still rather... sad/discouraged/upset about the visit. I received another cast -sigh- The good news is it is a walking cast. The bad news is walking is very painful so I will try to alternate the scooter and walking to avoid the pain getting too bad. The other good news is the wound has FINALLY healed on the outside so no more antibiotics. I wasn't like expecting the cast to go all together, but it was still really hard to hear I needed to have another cast -sighs- He says because there's pain, it's not healed inside and that I need the cast to avoid injury and keep it stable. It's just healing really slowly. I think he's hoping in two weeks it'll be calm enough to forgo the cast but no one is entirely sure. It's hella frustrating and I'm discouraged. It took me all day to want to update you all. Anyway that's my big news. Ooh yay on the diamond dotting :D it's fun isn't it? Thank god no. She's full grown now. 45 lbs of her. She's super strong too. She's Melody lol. She goes insane when she sees me. hopefully she'll calm down once we put the living room back together.

And the window company never turned up to the neighbour yesterday, so I dunno when they're meant to finish off what they started o.O

We are meant to get 27c on Tuesday I think it was? But then it will start getting cooler again thank god. :) Glad you are not getting the same heat as London. It is unbearable, especially in a such a large city.

Good to hear your doc is back, and the wound has healed finally. Sorry about the cast though, I can understand being upset having to wear it for longer. Try to take it easy, as boring as that might be.

LOL Gotta love excitable doggies. Quite big too! If you can find ways to drain her energy, like puzzlegames etc that might help too.

27C is still pretty hot ;) I'm pleased I'm not in the city centre - we've got a bit more space around us so there's more chance for the air to circulate and not just reflect the heat into one small area ;)

as far as I know there's nothing being shut because of covid (at least nothing yet), but the covid numbers are rising yet again so there's been mention that we're advised to meet up outdoors rather than inside. Most of the things shutting down at the moment though are because of the heat ;)

well it's reached 32.5 C here so far, and there's still a couple of hours before it's meant to reach today's maximum.... and it's almost 30C indoors melting They're now saying Wednesday is meant to be 28C which is still really hot, but should feel quite pleasant after these couple of days!

well at the moment we've not got a 'proper' prime minister (there's currently 4 left in the running to take over his job) but I think most of them have pledged to not do mass covid lockdowns (like we had earlier in the start of the pandemic) again. Guess it all depends on who we end up with (and we won't know that until September I think o.O)

30c indoors is miserable. I had that last summer, as it gets hotter indoors than outside for me,. Was not fun. They have talked about the heatwave in the UK and how dangerous it can be in the news lately. Hope it wont last too long!

it's meant to be a lot cooler tomorrow (well, still hot for here, but nothing like this stupid temperature :P) - but as long as it gets cooler overnight, I'll be able to handle it better! It doesn't help if you're much higher than the ground floor either, does it!

yeah you could say that! We'll know this evening (apparently) who the two final contenders are, for who will be the next Prime Minister (that all sounds like some weird reality tv show!) but then all the party members get to vote over the summer, hence the delay until parliament returns in September.

It has been pretty hot today, but cloudy so that makes it more bearable. Suppose to get cooler tomorrow. Make sure to stay hydrated. I guess it is the same in the UK; most don't have AC? :) I live on what you would call the 1st floor. :) So just a bit over ground level.
