Not too high up then - there's some flats down the road from us that have 12 floors, and I have a feeling being on the top floor would've been unbearable in the heat yesterday!

It is comfortable here today. Yay! I hope it will be for you as well sooner rather than later. I have looked into getting an ac.. but it would take up a lot of space, expensive, and I would have to find one that wouldn't allow for Pusur to get out of the window. :P

I did see a suggestion online to have a frozen plastic bottle of water in front of a regular fan, and that's apparently meant to make it feel like ac.... but by the time I saw that, I didn't have a chance to try it out earlier in the week ;)

That's my kind of sized apartment block - just enough to have a kind of community of neighbours, without being massive :)

Sure will do! I don't have much freezer space, I only have a fridge and freezer combo. But I think I will be able to fit a couple of bottles.

It suits me okay. They seem friendly enough and no one seems to be a busy body. ;)

that sounds quite tricky to get it to fit in! We've got a small fridge freezer, but to fit enough for three adults in there, it tends to be overfull most days 😊

That's a positive then :D In our road there's a few neighbours who seem to always stop and chat, but I tend to just ignore everyone equally if I'm out (I never get on with chatting to people face-to-face) ;)

At least there's mostly enough space in there ;) I'd love to have a separate freezer so we could have a bigger fridge, but that would mean the kitchen would need redoing, and even though it's really in need, I can't see it'd actually work to get that done (as Mum keeps saying "how would we cope" any time she mentioned getting a new kitchen o.O)

Honestly I think my Mum is more nosey than the nosiest neighbour 😇

I am pretty good when it comes to buying stuff on sale and freezing it as well as freezing leftovers. ;) So it saves me a lot of money. I wouldn't mind having more freezer space, but that is just not possible.

I've never got as far as freezing leftovers (or cooking more than I need, then freezing the others as homemade ready meals), so you're definitely more organised than I am!!

It is one of the best ways I find to save on food costs. ;) I usually only ever buy stuff for dinner that is one sale that week and stock up. I don't pay full price unless I need to.

My neighbours aren't noise either, bless them. Or maybe my bad hearing helps with that. :P

that's definitely a great idea! :D I try to get stuff on special offer whenever I can, although that does mean needing to store more boxes of porridge or breakfast cereal than I have space for in the cupboard (usually the offers tend to be 2 for a good price, and I can only fit one in the cupboard!)

hehe that's always a positive (on them being quiet, not on your hearing :P). Usually our neighbours aren't too bad unless they have someone staying over (which does happen annoyingly frequently :P), or if the house at the other end of the road has a party (sound carries in weird ways, so we can hear them as if they were in our garden o.O)
