they've got the cones out in the road now to stop parking (Mum was convinced they won't also resurface the parking area, but they've put cones there too) so it's interesting watching everyone gradually moving their cars elsewhere ;) That's happening Wednesday, so I've charged my headphones today to make sure they'll last as long as possible ;)

I just hope it isn't as hot as it's been today when Wednesday comes around, as I won't be able to have the windows open in the front of the house (not just the noise, but also the stench of tar) and possibly the council would say it's too hot for the new surface to stick :P

Bertie sounded like such a pretty budgie! I usually only see the regular blue, green or yellow ones. :) I wouldn't say pied budgies look strange, just different but in a cool way. :)

I'm not as keen on the all-white or all-yellow ones - they need to have some colour variations to make them really budgie-like for me ;)

I've got the mini usb fan on at the computer, and hopefully once they've stripped the road surface off (that was making clouds of dust) I can open the window again for a short while before they start on anything stinky!

I made the most of having the window open while they seem to be on (another) tea break, but I can already smell the tar that's on the lorry parked at the bottom of the road, so I don't think the smell-free zone will last long :K

[edit] The tar smell came in through the back windows, but thankfully it didn't linger. They actually finished the entire road by 2pm (9am Subeta time) so I can have the windows wide open again :D (apart from the back windows in my room, as the neighbour decided she'd cut her grass :K)

Have you got a heatwave over there at the moment? We've got cooler temperatures today & tomorrow (25 or 26C), but I think they're forecasting something stupid like 35C for Monday & Tuesday next week o.O

Summers here can be anything from 13c and rainy to close to 30c. You just never know. ;) But yes, this summer has been unusually chilly it seems like.

that's one heck of a difference! Apparently the average temperature for this week is between 16c and 22c (I wouldn't have thought 16C was a normal minimum daytime temperature for this week, but apparently that's the average), and next week's maximum is meant to be a whopping 18c higher than average o.O ....I think the shops will sell out of ice creams by Tuesday afternoon :P

I googled the average temp for my city in Juli... only 14-16c. LOL Welcome to Norway. xD Seems like it is genrally warmer where you live.
