Brrr Caz! It was 17f here the other day... as a high! -8c. I was so grumpy, it snowed for four or five days in a row.

IT'S ALMOST APRIL.

I just want to go outside and dig in the garden and do yardwork and hopefully make the house look nice but instead I'M JUST GOING TO FREEZE.

I want to wear dresses and skirts and twirl in the sun IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK.

... I am dramatic.

Though, apparently I have now signed up to come up with a summer reading program for the library, and run it :P So at least I have that to look forward to! I'm just trying to come up with fun ideas and books to match.

And I made a survey for the library too, and it looks like we'll be starting up a book club, and maybe an adult craft night. I'm excited for that, too!

Half day again tomorrow for kids. Not me. Maybe I'll finish my music schoolwork. The last chapter/ module is very short!! [Edit] Or maybe I'll have finished it tonight. Hahaha. Cuz I did. I now only have the work ethic self evaluation and the concert report to do (going to concert on April 23) in music. Working on history project. Think I may be able to send a link to the power point to the professor. Will have to try, and leave enough time to find another way to submit it if that doesn't work

Yes. I like not having to deal with naptime with this group. Half of them don't sleep. And half of THOSE won't be still or be quiet most of the time!

There are some days I have nothing to do and I am like, ummmmm, what do I DO???? Especially if I can't get "into" my games or a book. (Which isn't too often, I can usually get involved in one of those) LOL

Well, have a good half day and finish up your school work so you can go home and do nothing. :P

Hahah no, I won't do nothing. I'll probably clean house. And cook dinner :P At least that'll be mostly nothing. No school work would be nice. But I still have a good bit of history project to work on. Next week is spring break for the college, so after I do my discussion responses, I won't HAVE to do any history for a week. I probably will do my discussion post tho. AND work on the project. Then the week after is MY spring break at my school (yay no kids, stay at home myself whoooo). I think I might take a day and go visit my daughter in Statesboro....if she's available to visit (its a 2hr drive one way so it can be a day trip). I have yet to do that and I've wanted to for a while, just never seemed to be able to do it.

Oh I forgot to say, I got a 93% on my first attempt at listening and a 90 on the quiz in music. (The listening was so short!! Only 15 questions - the last one was like 240 questions!!!)

Ugh.... 240 question. I would lose interest in focusing after 50.

Hmmm sometimes? But also.. I really enjoy my time just lazing around the house with no one else in it :P

But there's not much to do around here, and if I can help change that, then I'd like to, if that makes sense? Most of my stuff is still just.. running kids around, though :P

There's not much to do around here either.... that doesn't cost about the stay of a hotel night that has an indoor pool. :P

There's a couple of state parks nearby that I can do some walking in and that's nice, but they're usually pretty busy when it's nice out. I'd rather be out in nature alone to get the full enjoyment out of it.

Kids gone. Lunch being provided by pto (taco bar) It's only been a half day and I'm pooped. Lol

Yeah, I think we're going to try and do the book club and a monthly adult craft night. Just need to figure out.. what to do. And how to do it cheaply :P

We've got the state park here too, and walking trails, but.. that's about it haha. And for teenagers, there's.. nothing, outside of school. For the preschoolers and elementary center kids there's programs, etc.

Teenagers could be included in the adult craft nights? Older ones anyway ...My daughter loved going to a couple of craft things the library did One was pour painting. Put paint in a cup, layered, and then pour it over the canvas and let it spread however it goes.(I'm not sure exactly how it was but something like that. It was a cool end result). Another was using old vinyl records to make bookends and bowls using a heat gun....

Yeah, the girls have done that before at the big library. Pour painting, that is! They could, but I think we'd want to do separate things. Also because.. there's only like.. room for 8-10 chairs haha.

I have their pour paintings hanging up downstairs though, they're great!

Best way to me to get ideas is to ask the ones who are interested in meeting what activities they'd like to do

I forgot to bring my history book. So I can't do school work. 🙄😝

I think a lot of people like to make home/room decorations. You can find a ton of stuff on Youtube just using Dollar Tree stuff and making some really cool things. I know I did! Lanterns are a popular one. Still have yet to make mine but hey, I have all the stuff, lol.
I change out the decorations for the faux window frame I made for each season. That's been fun and I love that I made it. One of these days I'll get around to making the shutters for each side, which are also pretty easy and just made basically with the paint stirs - 5 or 10 gallon.
