I got an air fryer the other day and I'm loving it. So much fun to use and so easy. Had spring rolls last night after picking up a ton of stuff at the Asian store, including some odd looking lettuce type stuff that we used, lol. It was good! Also picked up some plum dipping sauce which was yummy, also.

Sounds yummy. Are egg rolls and spring rolls the same? Gotta leave for work!

They're similar in a way but the ones you usually get from the restaurants are fried. You can put anything in the spring rolls but it seems the fried rolls are pretty limited.

spring rolls normally have the rice paper wrappers, right?

It creeps me out how you can see through them, it's like eating a jellyfish stuffed with veggies.

Right! I think they look yummy but mine are usually full of lettuce - or whatever oddball stuff I picked up last night - and the chicken was in the middle. I still have bacon wrapped pork I made a couple weeks ago and froze a bunch of, so looking forward to more! :P

It's honestly just me :P Sometimes, there's foods that I've eaten FOR YEARS... but I still have to close my eyes for the first few bites. Like.. I just can't do it.

I'm basically a two year old, I think :/

There's a couple things that really disgust me to look at - octopus and squid. I totally freak out when I watch people eat octopus. UGH. Nasty looking creatures.

The girls love it but it's just squishy haha.

I don't really care what OTHER people eat. Except ketchup. I wish no one would eat like.. big piles of ketchup near me.

It makes me sick to my stomach, I don't know why.

See, I watch videos showing people eating food (mukbangs) but they're not the Americanized ones where people overeat just to get a reaction. Usually the shows I watch show the whole cooking process and even give the recipes. Hell, I used to watch the Bizarre Foods guy and I swear he made some of the weirdest food look like it tasted good. :P

Ketchup. I can't stand the smell. It's seriously the worst.

I love watching people cook around the world. Some super weird stuff but.. not weird to them?

Omg these kids today. So disrespectful. I am so tired of being told NO by 4yr olds. Or I don't want to. I mean ok I get it's one of their ways to show independence but at school you DO have to follow your teachers directions. And show respect to adults!! Not scream nooooo at them and run away!

Morning! Little kids being brats... how do you even get through it?

My younger bro is a ketchup fiend. I'm not. I rarely use it for anything.

I've used a couple loyalty boxes for pet stats also. Right now I'm considering having an overlay made for one of my pets but then I would feel the need to get a profile made, too. Pricey stuff.

Morning. I refused to get out of bed til my alarm this morning. Then had to make tea, feed/water animals, take dogs outside, yadda yadda yadda. Only just now getting a moment to get on. I mostly use it for fries and steak (gasp, I know, most people are horrified by that, but I don't like steak sauce). I sometimes use it on porkchops if I don't put bbq sauce on them.

I kind of want a story for Ruan, but not like a whole profile or anything. I thought about asking about it, but haven't yet.

As for the little kids, with this group, its one day at a time, and trying my best to remember the good sweet moments that even the little terrors have. (like the one little girl I was so agravated with - earlier in the morning she sat on my lap and leaned into me and said she loved me, and gave me a kiss).... she really had a good day until naptime. Usually she is ok at naptime but GOD FORBID, I moved her mat (so she'd stop playing with another girl and being disruptive) and all hell broke loose. - after the yelling at me, and saying NO and I don't want to, I took her into the hall to calm down and stop disturbing the class - and she started running away up & down the hallway, it got so the behavior (ISS) teacher intervened, (she was nearby for another student) and then the assistant principle!! (Dad got called to come get her - and :o at last, he admitted to seeing "some" of this type of behavior at home)

I'm honestly considering saying I don't want the preschool kids this year for VBS.. but everyone else is ALSO like "NO TINY TINY HUMANS" so.. I think it's going to have to be me :P

I'm going to need a helper though, because mine is off to college. I'd jus trather do.. most anything else. Mostly :P

THOUGH. OK so our theme this year is Making Waves: Even the smallest person can make waves in the world around them.

There's a 'mission' space in the schedule. So far, we're making cards and (guess what! :P) flowerpots to deliver to the senior center and retirement homes. Any other ideas for cheap, non time consuming projects kids ages 3-12 can do? Without going anywhere. :/

So, what does the behavior teacher do? Assess and determine whether or not they should be picked up?

Ahh.. projects for 6-12 would be easier than the 3-5yr old range. I'd say get a poster board and some shapes and have them make a spring board or s/thing. Glue is rather friendly. :P Paint is a pita, but the older kids wouldn't do so bad painting some little wooden objects from the dollar tree (if you have one nearby). Or, did you mean by not going anywhere as in - not going to a store?

Paper flowers. Lots of different kinds can be found on Pinterest or other construction paper craft sites Paper chains (we do rainbow color for spring). Painted flowers/other images. Really the activities depend on what materials you have available and if they are just for fun or a project to give to someone like the pots and cards.

The behaviour teacher is the person who has the kids who misbehaves. Like ISS, in school suspension. She also does come and try to calm down kids who are acting out, and if they don't calm down can and will take them for a time out/calm down period. Like one of our kids bit someone and since parents couldn't be contacted or come get him right away once contacted, he had to go spend the rest of the day with her. The kids there are only allowed schoolwork and since preK doesn't have schoolwork (not really), he basically had to sit and be quiet in her room all afternoon. She did give him his napmat but he doesn't usually nap so that probably didn't help
