Anyway you are right, cosplay is about having fun :) But I guess I'm intimidated a bit, cuz I've never done it before, don't really have IRL friends to do it with, and don't know how I'd start. I guess I would want to make my own costume, which for Lain wouldn't even be that hard I suppose (it's not as complex as, well, some anime outfits haha) but I have zero knowledge about it. Zero knowledge and zero money. Still, I may as well keep it on my bucket list.

I'm doing okay today, actually! I'm working on some coding that may or may not be extremely frustrating though, so we'll see. And hm, I mainly just forget to eat or rarely get hungry. I do tend to eat a lot of meat when I do eat though, and I'm trying to supplement with multivitamins (except I forget those way too much as well)

I'm thinking of maybe seeing a dermatologist, except I don't know if I can afford it. Because my rashes are super annoying and recurrent/persistent... But at the same time they seem to JUST be annoying, not dangerous, so maybe I'll keep putting it off.

I mostly write fantasy works because it is my favorite genre. I do blurbs (usually just random snippets of text based around certain character or characters, it surprisingly helps me to work in bigger projects) and I did a few blurbs based on fathers for Father's Day. It was a lot of fun!

I am trying to get my ideas in order as well because I do want to write a novel... I just really need to wrestle this writer's block and the motivation killer. Good luck to you and all your works! I hope you can start writing again!

Ooh neat! I'd love to read some if there's anything you wanna share. And wow, a novel... That sounds like a very formidable task to me, tbh, and I admire novel authors a LOT just for finishing a project of that scale. I'm a poet myself - and when I do write prose, it's only a couple pages at most - so maybe that explains why novels are so impressive to me haha. But mostly I write poetry, I've written poems for as long as I can remember. But lately, I've had a lot of trouble with it, and I'm not entirely sure why. I seem to write a lot of snippets or like... half-poems... but I can never seem to finish any.

Yes for like the last 15 years I have always wanted to write a novel... and the last 11 I have really worked hard on my characters, development, and what have you. I do admire those who take part in the November novel writing month and either get a ton done or actually WRITE a full book... I envy their talent and ability to focus. I tried once and only got a chapter done and gave up... just for that particular thing.

Oh poetry is pretty awesome too! I used to do that all the time when I was in high school. Actually wrote so much when I was in school and when I graduated ha ha it seems my ability to write lots and lots... left me.. ;-; I wish you the very best with your work!

If you are having trouble finishing pieces, perhaps music, a good book, or a favorite movie might help? Maybe ask your friends to give you some ideas or themes to write about? Even set up mock deadlines, sometimes that can jostle the sleeping beast known as our muse.

nanowrimo is hard i did it three years running i no longer have the motivation or focus writing, in general, is hard writing little scenes/short drabbles is my preferred style it's not as long as a novel by a long haul, so i can just write whatever scene happens to be in my head right then before i lose the ability to care if you write enough of those scenes with the same characters in vaguely the same universe you can probably make a slightly bigger story

creative writing class at uni emphasised writing something every day no matter what it was daily writing journal it was good maybe either of you should do that

I want Super Mario Odyssey! It looks like a lot of fun, and I can't believe I'm excited about a Mario game again. It's been years since I was excited about one. The only problem is the Switch is so hard to find, because every place is sold out. I'm hoping there's a steady supply by the time we can afford one.

I haven't been able to play Pokemon GO since last year, because my phone can't handle the game. I'm sad I'm missing out on gen 2.

Today I found a little horse.. thing? Plush? Bookmark? Plushmark?? in the dirt by the pokéstop I pass during my usual walk (there's literally just one within a sensible walking distance from where I live please help / send pokéballs). I dusted him off & brought him back with me. He's been run over more than once I think, judging from how squooshed his head is, but I plan to wash him, and hopefully that'll give him some of his shape back. I also plan to sew his 'tail' together to make a proper tail (even if it's a cat's tail on a horse). New friend y/y?

I used to love finding little treasures like that when I was a small kid, and spent a lot of time outside on the playground and so on. I don't go outside enough nowadays and I never seem to find stuff like that anymore. But when I do it's always just a bit magical.

I'm a total magpie - always have been - so if I do come across something I tend to take it with me. (I also go out a lot because I need more [head]space than I get within the house.) Usually it's just pretty stones, or the occasional shiny metallic thing [of unknown origin, welp]. Sometimes you do find little treasures though, and there's often something really special about them~

We do it because blank notebooks hold infinite possibility & inspiration for our creative expression also they're pretty.

instead of stressing out about not being able to make words come just write literally anything anything even if it's just a rambling diatribe about why swinubs are cute (also, have you caught and poked a Hoppip, they smile and wiggle. they smile. and wiggle. i stg this is the cutest animation in pogo ive ever seen) or consider a character's opinion on pokemon or work on describing something you can see from where you're sitting or read pages full of writing prompts for three hours and then fall asleep, wake up, and not understand why there are now three pages full of short story on your laptop when you don't remember writing any of it

do you know how much stuff people just /drop/ and then don't pick up it's so much stuff watch the floor/ground/sandbox/etc, look under machines or counters or newspaper racks i found a literal diamond ring when i was little and i'm 90% sure it's still the most valuable thing i own which seems more valuable, a diamond ring or a laptop it's gotta be one of those two but also just random shiny/cool trinkets or coins or shiny coins, best of both worlds

omg I think it's a donkey??? it's adorable. it does look a bit like a monkey, but the shape of the mouth/snout and the white diamond on its head makes it more a donkey I think!

HOPPIPS ARE SO CUTE YES!!! They were my fav until I found out how weak they are in-game hahaha. And funnily enough.. I've actually never played pogo... despite playing pretty much all the pokemon games for nintendo gameboy and ds in the past decade.

Hoppips remind me a bit of that new alola pokemon that tastes really sweet and is always smiling even when its getting eaten... the uh... the bounsweet ;-; but I think the hoppip is more fun, like bounsweet just looks sweet but hoppip looks more mischeivous imo.

I wrote a little yesterday and it made me happy. As I had not written anything about these two characters in ages. I also read a little more today and that too made me happy because I really enjoy reading.

Today is not a good day. Last night, I replied on a new anime figure coming out. I basically said "keep the girls and toss the male mc" because it's the usual trope where girls are used as bait to develop romantic plotlines and ! I like both girls and how they interact with each other.

To which a random user answered with "Ok "other"" (other is my gender on said website. visible to all). And I'm just like ... WHAT DOES "OTHER" HAS ANYTHING TO DO IN YOUR DAMN SENTENCE??? Can't I find girls cute? Can't I like them? Gtfo mate. Gtfo.
