Ah even with the high health though, a lot of it is the block. I do a lot less damage than Tos so battles take longer and there are that many more opportunities for me to be crit hit to death. There's not much I can do once I am out of healers and crit hit. I have to make sure I am defending against the majority of the icons dealt. That's why scrolls are so important.

I hoarded boosters when Verdugo was T7. I had 1.5 mil exp and around 200 boosters saved up. I managed to boost him to high T10 with that much, then it was only a short boost to T11. My armory at the time was built for T10+ though so my goal was to be able to use all my weapons again. If you don't have the weapons to use then it doesn't make sense to boost. Save your money, buy the weapons and scrolls you need, then boost to that tier. It will just take a lot longer training without boosters. It's also nice to be at a higher tier so you can beat all of the battle quest opponents and get the maximum experience payout, but again you need the right set.

not really I still had a full life at the end of the battle I have only beat the castle 2 times but I haven't tried to battle that challenger in a few months or so

I've got a few wins left to do on the castle... Mostly just dragging my feet since it takes a half hour -- win or lose -- each battle. Trying to get IK wins for other pets. I think the top 3 pets have 10 wins, will have to check on pets 4 & 5... Even if they had 10 each it still isn't anywhere near as hard as 50 wins on IK with one pet. I still think your wins are impressive!

You know I give my second pet a lot of crap (like refusing to name him until he beats someone "worthy") but truth be told, he probably has more accomplishments under his belt than when Verdugo was T7. I boosted Verdugo to T10 but it will be interesting to see when my second pet reaches T10 if he will be beating opponents Verdugo couldn't beat until T11. He was at T5 at the beginning of this year and now he is at T8 so he is already making faster progress.

You definitely want an infinite use scroll, but it sounds like you already have that. Next would be scrolls that block. You can equip specific scrolls that block large amounts of one or two icon types that you can't block with your weapons. These scrolls are more challenger specific. Or you could equip scrolls are more versatile and block some of everything. These scrolls can be used if you're not sure what an opponent deals, if your opponent deals wide spread damage, if your opponent disables the use of a weapon, or if your opponent has healing disabled. SE and cobalt are great for these situations. After that, you can start to look at healing or freezing scrolls. I would consider these less critical. You don't have to chain freeze your opponent, but it makes battles easier.

Congrats on T5! Resist temptation to turn in the amulets! I am so close to 100, I just want to turn them in but this is my own personal goal of waiting until I have 100.

- Congratulations on reaching T5 with Cynde. Yay - you get to join in the battle quests in just another hour and a half. :-) And keep hoarding those amulets. Hopefully, you will get a much better rate of tomes that way.

- yes, I am fortunate enough to have an Aftershocks Scroll as my main use, but do really need to work on some additions. I also have one Cobalt Eternal (although I'm never quite sure when to use it) :-) As I said, I still have a lot of work to do on scrolls. And I have not yet begun to worry about buying weapons or scrolls just for specific opponents. I'm mostly still looking for general use items (although it can get frustrating when you don't have that one thing for some specific challenger you just happened to run into, I know). But I think given the current sparsity of my armory and scroll library that general use items will be more helpful for a while yet.

Meanwhile, some news - I now have an Amulet of Neutrality! (Thank you again for pinging me to that thread and for your kind words) given to me by a user leaving Subeta. I am very excited to see how helpful it winds up being in the Battle Coliseum.

Actually sadly enough I gotta wait till tomorrow afternoon, pretty sure. it's like 30 days to the dot in pet transfers. It's fine though ha ha gives me a chance to fix my weapons set up and add a few more stats to my pet. Thank you~

Oh I just saw that thread. Nice grab! I have looked in the trash can for years with no luck, but I have managed to get this far without one. I also have STS and RV so AoN would be overkill at that point. You could use it in your fight against the ice king! Always nice to have a full blocker. Were you able to get a forj scroll? Those are super OP for low tier pets. I have one equipped for Oranos and it's like having another 90% healer.

There really is no "one weapon to beat them all." The best armory to beat opponents is a flexible armory with a variety of different weapons to create a variety of different combinations. Cobalt and SE scrolls I use when I need to block multiple icons. If I need to block earth, fire, light, physical and water I use SE. If I need to block physical, earth, dark, ice or fire then I use cobalt. The down side is that both scrolls can block 15 or 75 of each icon. 15 is fine for lower tiers but when you start facing opponents that deal 50+ of one icon type, the scrolls become less reliable.

I'll let you know what my percentage was if I get to 100 before you turn yours in.
