Battle Quests done through Level 21. Skipped Saggitarius and looking at Sandragon. That's probably all for today for me. Don't have that much time to play in the Battle Coliseum right now.
- congratulations on finishing all 30 levels of BQs. That's a big accomplishment.
- hope you are enjoying your weekend. Really looking forward to company later today. Hope you also have a great day.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day and lots of success in the Battle Coliseum.
Thanks! But I actually only reached level 30. My pet is still too weak for the impossible challengers, except Flamagia :P
Meh, my boyfriend and I were supposed to go hiking Saturday but are not going to be able to because of all the forest fires.
- Oops - sorry. But that's still an great job for the day!
- thanks for the suggestion. I do remember now that SubetaLodge has help for books. I might just have to use that (since i hadn't been reading anything much out of my vault, I had forgotten all about that :-) ).
As far as your rant - it would be really nice if the weapon mod page had some sort of organization (or even better a search feature so I could bring the weapon I want to mod up to the top and not have to close all those lines and hope I don't close the one I'm looking for by mistake - because if you do, you have to start over, there's no open feature for a single line - just the show everything choice). I think the weapon order that shows up has something to do with when you put the weapons in your armory (under the assumption that your newest weapons would need mods so they go on top???)
And, yes, while you can put a PIN in effect, several battlers have been unpleasantly surprised by accidentally REMOVE ing a weapon from their armory which, of course, is bad because the weapon mods go away. I have a PIN so haven't had a problem with that myself, but I can see where it would be frustrating.
- that really is a shame. I hope they get those fires and the ones up further north too under control soon. Hope you and your boyfriend figure out something fun and relaxing to do instead.
A little update: first fight against vintage prodigy went well! I was chipping away and chain-freezing a little bit, and then somehow, the last move, I killed him by doing 1531 damage all at once. Still not entirely sure how that was possible without being a crit, but my stats kept getting boosted throughout the battle so perhaps that had something to do with it?
FWIW, my last move ended up being anchor + frostbite amulet + cobalt eternal + dark death potion. And I got lucky and was hit with recycled wad + atomic wave, which did a grand total of 11 damage against me.
This was my weapon set:
And my scrolls... I actually messed up and didn't equip the ones I wanted, I went into battle with this:
I started out with the freezer and aftershocks as suggested, but after that I tried to save my freezer/blockers and try out the omen key club on a turn where he was frozen. Can't remember the exact moves unfortunately, but I remember that I used a lot of potions to do a bit of extra damage, used the negating pylonic as a blocker, and ended the battle without having used the amulet of neutrality or the reviver of the lion somehow. The omen key club did a heck of a lot of damage, and generated a wrath of the kahaleitzli which blocked fire (or water?) and one of the other weapons I used blocked the opposite so I was good and never got hit with a ton of damage.
Anyway that was only the first battle, so it wasn't supposed to be too hard but... I feel a lot less scared moving forward now. Especially once I get the correct scrolls equipped lol.

The 1,500-ish damage you did was due to either natural crit (there would be a line in the battle text that says that you have landed a crit hit) or crit from natural strike tear crystal (if you have one modded onto one of your weapons that you used during that turn). The crit from crit strike tear doesn't have any accompanying text. Stat boosting by using the anchor doesn't actually increase damage by any significant amount, especially in short fights. In longer fights we might notice some small difference in our damage output or defence power.
Congratulations on your win by the way. You've got what it takes to make it past win 5, so best of luck getting all the wins you need and that loot too!
Okay - dailies done, pings and comments answered. Bathhouse visited for the day (and double ... and triple checked). And my future Zoba isn't ready for me to try and soothe it for another 7 hours. Time to turn off the computer before I find another excuse to spend several more hours here. :-)
- great job - congratulations on getting in that all important first win. Now you know you can do it and it gets a little easier (even though his stats increase).
For what it's worth, since AoN can possibly last for many turns, I would suggest trying that with either a healer or attacker (depending on what you need the most) before using the Negating Pylonic and save that for a last ditch save. Every turn AoN lasts you can use one other weapon and a scroll (as well as a potion if desired) which can add up as long as you are doing more damage than he is healing. Using AoN plus the Anchor, would give the Anchor more turns to boost. (And, by the way, remember you can only equip one of each pylonic at a time, so don't forget to replace them - especially the Negating Pylonic before starting the next battle.)
Sounds like you're in great shape to get those five wins and your desired loot drop! Good Luck
Omg I completely did not realize AoN was not once per battle! Thanks for pointing that out! And yes I'm excited. Also excited to be catching up on other battling I didn't have time to do. I basically didn't battle for a week because I was busy with other stuff.
(Also where are you btw, posting at 4am? Could it be I have found an owl buddy?)

- oh wow! So glad I mentioned it then. Yes, sometimes AoN can last more or less forever.
Always nice to finally find the time to try and get caught up.
I am definitely a night owl, and these days I keep irregular hours but am often on Subeta late at night and early in the morning So yes, you have found an owl buddy. (And one who is even willing to try to test software changes in the middle of the night if it would ever be helpful.) I would be very pleased to have company during these hours when most users seem to disappear.
Today, though, people are coming to my house for games later, so I am actually going to really finally turn my computer OFF. But don't be surprised if you find me responding to late night/early morning posts or comments. That's my favorite time of day.
Please excuse my Korean shows obsession and references 😂 I watch them a lot and in those shows loan sharks are often portrayed as inefficient in their job, oftentimes comical, and might even got chased out of the house by their supposed 'victim' with a broomstick :) so when I was talking about me and then Hanson being a loan shark I was thinking along those lines. I promise I definitely don't want to be a true loan shark who hunts down and hurts people, and that's the last thing I'd like Hanson to do to others. Well he can hunt down opponents and get me loot, I won't object to that though :P
On another note, I've got a feeling that we're moving today to a new thread :P. Who's going to be our host this time? :)
You Won! You have defeated Vintage Prodigy 10 times! You earned 3875 sP for beating Vintage Prodigy! Chana earned 2000 EXP Points!

Second Tier 8 with 5. Done with this guy since my next smallest pet is Tier 5.
thanks so much! it definitely wasn't easy. now i need to face param rb... oh boy.
wow fantastic job!! i just tried with my T8 but died pretty quickly after vprod was unfrozen. xD
Yeah, freezing helps a lot with him. After the freezer and freeze spells are gone, I use RV (please freeze) and STS. Then it's full heals with Frost Amulet to hope to stay alive long enough for amulet to freeze him.
I'm mad at my Trident, it didn't give the blessing once. I did a ton of battles with two Tier 8s to get those wins. I only used trident when he was frozen or with full block but still not once seems poor luck.
Congrats! KT had similar stats when he breached the fort...
Wins: 10 Losses: 9
Like you said -- you just get to a point where you get hung up FOREVER! It feels so good to be done with him... Unless there's a reset... ;)
You Won! You have defeated Unstable Snow Fairy You won a(n) Impossible token to use in the battle shop! Nightmarium earned 3500 EXP Points! Head back to the Battle Quest headquarters to finish up this quest! Because this was level 30 you earned 3500 experience!
Thanks! ;)
it totally stinks when the blessing doesn't activate and you need it so badly. 😫
if there's a reset then hopefully next time it'll be 10 wins and 0 losses for us 😎
crosses fingers
I hope you're right, but I wouldn't bet the fort farm! ;)
