I'm glad you got info on this challenger. I have battle text disabled. So I don't see a wall of text and icons.

For pets w/higher def than str, the heal is 12% -- which may be enough for me to worry less about scrolls healing and blocking and more about additional damage dealing. With your lower speed, you're much less likely to get a freeze, I think. I dk the math on that -- but I'll bet someone around here has the equations.

Not having MW is no biggie since stealing may be disabled. I didn't steal anything from him, nor him from me. It was in my default set and blocked water, so I used it. lol

managed to freeze him a few times with his antifreeze activated, so it's def only partial.

Yeah I am glad I still kept battle text enabled. I am not at the point yet that I could just bulldoze through every opponent so I need to pay attention to what certain weapons do.

Haha oops I meant ME not MW. I just need the dark block. I switched up my scroll though. I ditched my freezing set for my default set. My default set works really well except for when I want to chain freeze. Fatal fire really stops him in his tracks, as does the void but then again that stops everyone lol.

Yeah -- I have some fatal fires equipped too. But then, at this stage, we should be able to equip almost everything. lol

Battle Quests done up through Level 24 - Terrafirma, Cursed Effigy the Tormented (3 times) and then The Gate Keeper - now sitting at Level 25 with Ice King. So far I'm not doing very well at all (ugh) - using Blessed Trident, a borrowed Replica Minotaur Knocker, Ice King Clawed Gloves, Flayed Lord Breastplate, Deluxe Death Shard, Phoenix Quill, UltimaPlus Tag and Recycle Blaster plus Aftershocks.. I can do some damage but he still kills me before he's even down to half his hp. Using Aftershocks, and I do have one Cobalt Eternal. AP is 37 so maybe a borrowed scroll would help, but probably not enough. Looking like I'm going to get stuck here again. (On the bright side, it's the second time I've reached this level, so progress is being made!)

The ice king does a lot of ice and wind. If you aren't blocking enough ice with the gloves and I don't think you can use unstable syringe yet since you're T9(?), cobalt eternal scrolls are good for him. Make sure you are freeze protected as well. The ice king is not easy due to their being limited ice blockers for under T10. Arctic Braver scrolls may also work instead of the cobalts.

I love this new challenger. It looks like a xenomorph on steroids

looks like any of his weapons activate the curse and blessing so that they always activate on the first turn. Blessing is only partial freeze protection

- I thought about making an Arctic Braver scroll to go with my Cobalt Eternal. Not too bad (priced ingredients at under 700K), but I could only equip a couple - not sure that's enough - although I'm not lasting very many rounds, also wondering if they're useful for anyone except Ice King. Yep, still T9 (and a fairly new T9 at that). All of my blockers are still pretty limited at T9 - I'm really looking forward to T10 when all those 10 icon blocks seem to become 60 or 75 icon blocks. :-) I think this may be another case of - nice to get here, but a little too soon to win. Still it's early yet, so if it doesn't start lagging (or 50x erroring again) I'm going to give it a few more go's. I'm going to have to live without much freeze protection (except the Blessed Trident) since I'm using mostly one shot stuff here (although I might dig some Parched Tears out of my vault). The trident has two parched baguettes and the breastplate has two parched tears already equipped. But having just fought The Gate Keeper using four parched baguettes each turn I still have somewhat bad luck getting the parched blessing to activate when I really need it. :-)

I remember when I though 100 AP would be enough to battleanything.... rofl -- now that's the goal I have for my littlest pets.

recommended I use Arctic Braver against Unstable Snow Fairy, so you might find them useful again once you start hitting level 30. I'm not sure what else they're terribly useful against.

Are you blasting at all and using a freezer first turn ? You have outgrown the breastplate, I would swap it out with a third healer or blasters.

- I'm using the Recycle Blaster which is the only one I have and I don't own a serious third healer (yet), the closest I come is a Sparkling Quill. I'm using the Breastplate because it blocks all the icon types he deals (except ice)- unlike anything else I have, although I could try my luck with getting more than one round with the Forj Tempered Shield. I've been doing a little better using Shinwas Short Sword, rather than the Minotaur Knocker. No healing, but at least it does some damage. Actually got lucky with the short sword blessing and thought I had a chance for one battle, but then he had a big hit and killed me when I used my Phoenix Quill. Probably not going to make another scroll. As it is, I'm not using my Cobalt Eternal because I'm constantly trying to heal with the Aftershocks (although I really should try switching just to see what happens).

[edit] Lately, I think I've been paying the college tuition for the healer's kids, with all the business I've been giving her. :-) I've gotten him down to just under half, but then run out of healers and/or get hit for waaaayy too much damage. Going to take a break to get some other things done and then see if there's any time left to work on this some more.

Oh this new CS Challenger is a bear. I beat it once, but that's about it unless I change my Weaponset and Scrollset. Which weapons are ME and MW?
Are there any weapons that block magma and water? I have enough AP to spam the heck out of Cobalt Eternal which blocks all the other icons. What weapons would help my two t13s bet beat Meatslab five times to get the Baal and make a Cronus?

Best thing for meatslab is to borrow a cronus and use something like ME/natasha/skull staff against it. Blasting also really helps if you are lucky enough to blast the right things

Aaaargh, all of those are out of reach for me at the moment. I should be able to stomp Rouland a few more times next Morostide though. Chalk up another crazy-impossible CS opponent.
