And I haven't noticed that losses affect pet rank either, my pet's rank has only been getting better as his stats increase. But I don't pay a whole lot of attention to it either, so I'm not 100% sure.

It is hard to not just take all of it out, but at least I don't have to worry about it anymore and can collect profits immediately now! :P

And yeah he does, but I usually try to freeze him too on the first round so then we're both stuck. If I'm lucky the parched blessing will take effect and he won't be able to freeze me again for a while after that. Another thing that makes him tough is that he kept stealing all of my things. ;~;

If losses affected your rank, the top pets would drop hard after a boss battle hahaha!

Never buy Gigan blow scrolls, I'm pretty sure they are probably terrible, and you would almost always be better with Cobalts/sancts.

Perilous whirlpool probably the same thing, they MIGHT be good against mama forj. I'm skeptical. I think they are probably worse than sancts/cobalts.

I immedidately regret buying the arctic braver scrolls since I forgot that cobalts cover ice.

once i'm at goal for the scrolls I want to test i'll let you know :P

the other day I got a couple wins on Prodigy using fatal fire scrolls and a combination of SoSS, Natasha, ME, DGR

Thanks for your input! Un-WLed these two (I tend to WL everything that is mentioned here lol) Even though they overlap in some icons, it seems that sancts/cobalts are a good combination to have in the library, right?

Hard to say. It's something I have wanted to experiment with. They used to be a LOT better. 100% full block of 5 icons each. Then they nerfed it so the 15 or 100X or 100%, ect. Then they nerfed it again to the 75 icons instead of 100%.

The way people used to use them is that if a challenger did a lot of ice icons, you would use a ton of cobalts. With how inconsistent they are now. I think the ideal use for a cobalt/sanct would actually be against a challenger whose main icon is not covered by sanct/cobalt, but does a lot of the other 3rd to 4th line icon types. Then you cover the main icon types with your constants, and get the splash with cobalts/sancts. The problem is you need to find a challenger that does more than 1500 damage of 3rd and 4th line icon types to justify cobalts/sanct over GoTF. And I think that is a high difficult bar to jump over.

I think a lot of people over rate them, but I might also under rate them.

Like the other 75 icon defenders without heal. If you are going to buy them, have a plan ahead of time if your budget is tight.

let me start buy saying that I love the design on your pet page! How many times have you won against the Ice King?

I have won 5x with this set: Paintbrush Blades, Blessed Trident of the Banished One, Intricate Energized Helmet, Rainbow Vortex, Recycle Blaster, SubetaBall, Reviver Of The Lion, Phoenix Quill, Cobalt Eternal Scroll x5

I'd recommend a 100% freezer for the first turn, and a full blocker to go along with your RV (Shinwas Temple Shard is a great one)... you could always put into use the Ice King Clawed Gloves for the ice defense it provides.

There are applications for them, but I think they are much narrower than many people give them credit for if you can afford the real high end scrolls.

And the applications for them are very AP intensive, and require good supporting weapons to make them better than the high end scrolls.

Hey guys, here's another random [battle] question.... I read there's some more difficult version of Buttwing Bomber & Recycled Beast... the Paramnesia ones (Paramnesia Buttwing Bomber & Paramnesia Recycle Beast), but I have no idea how to unlock them... does anyone know?

well done! Crawbeast is still out of my reach, but you just gave him a good kick for teasing me on BQ from me :P

they unlock based on stats. you need to hit tier 13 before you can even see them

(which always seemed kinda odd that they set such a high bar, why not let a T12 take a crack and fail)

There was an old glitch with battle quests that let you fight any opponent, so I fought them with my tier 6 pet about a year and a half ago :P

They patched it though because you could set buttwing bomber as your opponent for every single level of BQs, and steamroll BQs as a 10/10/10/10 pet netting 23K exp per day.

Does anyone know if there's a list of like all of the challengers anywhere? I know there are some other special opponents like Careaper or whatever, but I always forget exactly what they are and when they are available.

I'm curious how many people knew about that glitch.

It took them months from the time I reported it to the time they patched it.

- yeah, I missed Careaper the first time I looked there too. :-)
