You know, I bet I got it into my armory via quickstock. Because I've been buying a bunch of weapons and just choosing to add them all to my armory at once, and I just bought it yesterday thinking it might work on the troll. It probably isn't supposed to be added.

I have no idea if it resets every hour or something, but I'm gonna try these weapons again now and at 6pm to see if any of them suddenly work :V My theory is no, lol

I just tested it, and it's currently in my armory again by way of quickstock. xD Definitely being trolled.

I'm not much of a battler, and I only have a tier 7, tier 3, and many tier 1 pets, but I was thinking maybe something like this?

A tier 1 pet, with a tier 1 weapon, at 1 Subeta time?

So if it's currently 5 Subeta time, a tier 5 pet, with a tier 5 weapon?

I don't know, I don't have any reasoning for believing this is what's happening, but it's just a thought I had..

I can't test my idea for another two hours if this could be the case.

I have a theory, but it involves him doing damage to me the same turn which is turning out harder to predict than I thought. Do we have a %chance for him to use an attack?

Do you mind me asking what your full set was when you won those battles ? I know it no longer works, but it might help figure out where to go.

Nope, I didn't pay much attention to his attacks when fighting him.

I really think itms just using the right weapon at the right time.

It might be a random t1 weapon at 1oclock, random t2 weapon at 2, and so on. Might just be random in general.

Dang. I knew that'd be too easy. Maybe they could have grouped 12 and 13 since there are no weapons.. But that'd be silly. Oh well. Thanks for the reply!

The first time I beat him, all I had on me was the Hikei Grooming Brush Shield and the Illumis Dawn Bug Zapper. I mixed it up after that to try and figure out which item it was, and my conclusion was that the Shield was the key because it negated everything he did and allowed to me use any other weapon--I forget which ones aside from the zapper I used now, because I just pulled random ones from my armory--to attack him.

You can add the [item2=Rainbow herb Shield] to the list of silly items tried that didn't work with a variety of strength, intelligence and tiers 1-8 pets. I tried the and it didn't work for me, so I suspect the troll resets and the effective item changes, perhaps randomly.

So all of our tracking and our lists are useless. Truly trollish!

Hmm I would like to think the battle admins would do something more clever than that. I'm thinking it might be some weapon that reflects his damage back onto him but so far I have not managed to find such a weapon

I do think it's possible that the time could influence the tier of the weapon though :)

Refecting was removed from the battle system a long time ago. From what I read it seems like having the right weapon removes his defenses or something.

Hmm, then I don't know.

Is there an in battle event when this happens? Is he like stunned for a turn or just can't use the full blockers anymore?
