For some reason that little train marquee that used to go across the bottom of the page when Subeta was still really new was so amusing to me. I don't really remember what kind of messages were on it but it was cute. I also spent a lot of time reading the hilarious descriptions for items, that is definitely what sold me that this was a cool site lol And of course all of the cute minions. I have actually been on the site longer than my profile suggests as I had another account with the username Dorilana. It had been frozen :( It made me so sad. I think it was because there was an additional account from my IP address at the time, which was my daughters (Scythe), but I'm not sure. Aside from all that, I've made many wonderful friends on here over the years, including in person at a meetup and that definitely means the most <3

Something I'd Love to See

I was so excited to see the option of showing what items I own that are on other people's wishlist this past Lumi and would love to see that as a permanent feature. If it actually is being implemented already, ignore this. I'm not always here nor do I read the news as much as I could :P

Also, Keith, I miss when you used to post live videos and such. I thought that was exciting. If you still are and I don't know it, again, I don't read the news nor am I part of the Discord soooo... very cool if you do! >.<

I have to admit, over the years I kept thinking ...why am I investing so much into this site that could just disappear one day ...at any given moment. But Keith, you have proven that wrong year after year. I am very proud of you for such an accomplishment! And so happy that I stuck around :)

So, I only recently joined. I don't have a big pool to draw from; I think I played for a month or two when I was 12-13 years old, as well, but that time is long past. But I really liked when a bunch of us bought lottery tickets in another user's name to try to surprise her for her birthday with a lottery win. That was really sweet.

A new pet color.

I suggest Fungal. Not the same as harvest, which is all warm autumn tones with some mushrooms. I mean pets that are schemed entirely around standout fungus species, like fly agaric, ink caps, bleeding tooth, veiled lady, etc. Antlephore is practically begging for a yellow stagshorn makeover. Shaggy inkcap devonti? Devil's fingers kora?

I know this would be a big undertaking, but I think it would be c-o-o-o-l.

My favourite memory has been making friends on the site. I grew up with other online games and wasn’t able to fully participate in them because I was dealing with bullying but I think the community on Subeta has been nothing short of kind, warm, inviting and very fun. I feel like I’ve reclaimed a little bit of the joy I lost as a little kid playing.

My favorite memory is the Saherimos plot with excavation and Blake. I am still dreaming of owning the pieces to make a Sandreaver and a Tasselled Aegis Scroll, though. My pets were not strong enough at that time to battle the top opponents.

I've been on Subeta for almost 19 years now, which is insane because like my son turns 20 soon. My favorite memory isn't one everyone else can access because it's when my son first started his own Subeta account since he loved looking at my pets when he was younger. I don't think he's still active much but it was so fun getting to see him enjoy something I've enjoyed for so long!

Also I feel like when I first joined, avatars were sort of super simple and when you started your account, you had to pick a theme/vibe for a starter outfit (no nakey avatars allowed!) and there weren't backgrounds, really. The avatar system is so freaking intricate now and I LOVE it! Oh, man, and we didn't have the Survival event with evolving infections! The first pandemic was WILD. No custom wearables back then, either. Subeta has come such a long way. Every time a new pet species or color came out, it would be like a lil party of its own. Back in 2007 like THE cool stuff to get was spectrum and blacklight items for your avatar.

Something I'd Love to See

I'd love for people to come back to Subeta. I feel like a lot of creatives who were here before have fallen off and I hate to see it because I loved seeing artists on here. I think something y'all can actually affect though would be to bring back trivia! It was just a lot of fun and I feel like it encouraged engagement with like, the narrative of Subeta, you know? More Subeta lore! The prizes could be random event tokens or something. It would also be really cool to have more area development for exploration in each of the lands. I dunno, I've really enjoyed seeing the world get more fleshed out over the years!

I am a recent joiner, but so far the best memory for me is getting my first pet with a Legacy Name. I honestly wasn't expecting to ever get one, but Vitam just kind of popped up in the pound out of the blue.

Honestly, more pets to collect! Though it'd be also pretty cool to keep seeing more worldbuilding: Having lore for opponents and wardrobe items that reference existing pets, minions, etc. I am a sucker for that kind of stuff!

Plots, site events, stock market, restock wars, new achievements and items (more often), new pet colors, new trophies, CSC quests, timely holiday events, any and everything that makes the site worth playing. It often feels like users play to obtain old achievements and items, and that the only real incentive to grind out quests is to complete item collections, train pets, etc., which is fine, but what made Subeta popular was its events and plots. Logging on each day to participate in something new is what made it special and, in my opinion, kept users coming back and active.

I remember the first Survival, that was so much fun and chais! I'm one of the few who didn't take the cure and continued being a zombie for... well ever since! I really loved the community of zombie friends I made back then, and am still friends with a lot of them now!

Blacklight Ghostly plz I've been waiting so long >.< There's still a whole lot of gaps in the pets/colours combos, I'd love to see them filled, maybe some new colours too?

there's too many honestly, i've been on subeta since maybe 7th or 8th grade (i'm nearly 29 now). i think for me, one of my favorite subeta memories was the year where survival had the little vials you could take that would have different skins and turn you into a zombie for a short period of time, allowing you to access the zombie-only areas. i loved trying to find all the different vials and waiting to see the diseases slowly progress and get worse on my HA. i thought that was really fun and i remember it fondly. there was also a time someone saw me talking about how much i love space in the forums and they anonymously sent me a space-related CW through the gift center, and they called me SpaceBoy. it made my whole month when that happened, and to this day i have thought about changing my username to SpaceBoy....maybe i should.

please bring back tubular tiles :( that was my favorite game of all time on this site, and the music for it was incredible. it makes me so sad to this day that i can't even hear the music let alone play the game. if it isn't achieveable to bring the game back, please upload the music somewhere on youtube or on the site! it was a beautiful song, and i used to play tubular tiles for hours and hours. i still go back to check the page so often, and it still says it is temporarily down and will be back as soon as possible. :'(

subeta is an incredible site, and while it has its ups and downs, i have always loved coming back to it. my priorities on the site have changed over the years, and i think what is so great about it is that there's so much to do that you can always pivot directions if you aren't feeling inspired by your current projects. i was trying so hard to work on the filled wardrobe achievement, but got tired of it. i have since swapped to trying to have one pet who has had all the food and read all the books and i have had so much JOY working on these goals, truly!! thank you for making such a fun site that i still want to come back to 15+ years later.

I would love to see plots or events make a comeback. The Battle of the Bands, and the Jaxon Skelly plot were so much fun! So was the first Survival, and the restock wars!

I am hoping the finished version looks less blocky, and more welcoming (as the original site was always so cozy)

My favorite Subeta memory has to be Morostide-related events like visiting the pumpkin patch and trick-or-treating. I also distinctly remember the moment I completed the last of the Filled Wardrobe achievements - that took me several years!

I would love a chance to grab some of the old retired Subeautique items. I feel that many of them may be trapped in old inactive accounts, and are not able to circulate through the economy like most other items. I also miss Trivia questions! Maybe trivia can come back with old Subeautique items as the prizes?!

I've been playing Subeta for 17 years, it's still one of my top favorite games that I keep coming back to year after year.

I have a few favorite memories but I think the first time we had Survival not knowing what was going on. But it was so thrilling, and the community really did come together to figure out what was up. Also the first Masq with the murder mystery was amazing too

Something I'd love to see, maybe ways to make it a bit easier to get some older achivements. Some items are almost impossible to get now a days, and for anyone newer might be frustrating. I've been here a long long time and its still kinda frustarting to try and get some of the stuff

What is probably my favourite memory for Subeta is when the first Survival event happened. It is like a stone in my memories, when suddenly seeing the random event at my sidebar saying a cryptic message about how I am not feeling so well and that was IT. People around all the site were talking about it and making these theories about what was happening to us and it was so surprising and mysterious! The way it kept changing with new messages and finally the small changes to our HAs day by day! I will never forget that excitement and how it got our whole community to experience together!

I would love to see more big site wide community plot stories! Like the detective murder mystery and Omen Islands war. Big moments that bring the whole community together to work as one team on things like fighting Hydragelos even was so lovely!

After the death of my mum, I just logged in to just try to enjoy something that kept me always calm and gave me some simple happiness. And finding some friend sent me gifts and lovely message. Which I didnt expect, because I am not talking much. I didn't see the friend, Holly, online for some time and hope she is doing great. Now I found a really great person, Shannon, to chat and talking about whats new in our life and I hope it will continue many more years.

Plots! Even old ones! That was always amazing and so fun. Would love for them to come back or just let us replay old ones. So everyone who missed them or forgot, can enjoy all the hard work behind them.

One of my fave memories is of pet name/id hunting! Pets and pet names used to be released back into the site when users were gone/iced for a certain amount of time and I remember everyone getting together and competing to get the good ones lol. It was just fun to chat and see what everyone was going for. Then there was the rush of trying to refresh and get them before someone else did xD and if you were lucky and had great friends (like I do <3) they'd help you. I definitely have a pet or five that friends grabbed for me because I had to work. <3 It was always a gamble and sometimes frustrating haha, but also a lot of fun!

I'd love to see features that center around character creation ^.^ Our thing is pets and a lot of them are used as representations of their characters. I think having some premade templates made by users could be fun and helpful. I know we already have some made by users in the threads but having a few in a central location that could be part of a new user quest or tutorial could be handy to newbies.

and since I said new user quest, those might be fun for new players as well. I feel like I see new users that aren't quite sure what to do or where to go and having little quests they can do might help with that. (tbh i haven't had to do something like that for ages so we might already have that lol but maybe it could be fine-tuned if so.)

I'd love to see badges under our avatars or something for site events or achievements. :D I love being able to change the little blurb under my name, the avatar border, and people love the pet leashing option. It's fun to show off that stuff and gives other users a glimpse at the cool stuff we have going on. ^.^ I think it'd also be neat to also have our customized avatar border incorporated on our large, forum avatar image as well.

This is one of those cases where there are so many good memories that it's hard to recall a single example. Definitely the time and effort put into the older site events (mystery plot, etc) was greatly appreciated and so much fun. Trying to collect pets with (legacy) names that held personal significance, when names were unique. The small handful of friends made in nearly two decades here. <3

Kinda an odd memory, but it was coming back to Subeta after a 12 year break. I stopped playing in 2010ish when I went to college and just got too busy to keep up. Then in 2022, I was able to recover my account and come back. When I logged in for the first time in over a decade it felt like walking into a memory. All my old pets, items, weird ideas. They were all still there. Just waiting for me to come back and start the obsession all over again. It was so heartwarming to be able to come back to Subeta after all that time and be able to embrace the old memories and start building new ones.

Something I'd Love to See

I'd love to see a revamp or more attention to the achievements! I absolutely love achievement hunting but a lot of them aren't accessible due to old games no longer working or the switch to Kumos not counting towards them (like Mysterious Melody this past Lumi).

Big gigantic thanks to the Subeta team and Keith for all the love they still pour into the site! I love it so much and hope to stick around for many more years.

My favorite Subeta memory actually happens every Lumi. I make my HA look like an angel and instead of just posting "claim" in the gift the tree above you threads, I post the lyrics of Christmas songs both religious and secular. I like to call it virtual caroling. Just wanted to make a bit of a mark on the site while having a bit of fun. Hopefully I've succeded.
