I did NOT go to work today. I had a low blood pressure episode. I went to the Dr just in case but everything seemed fine. But I had slightly elevated blood pressure the last few days so took the extra water pill the Dr said to use as needed, and I guess after three days of that, plus getting up and into the shower just went right to my head (or drained the blood from it or whatever). Anyway, I got in the shower and got so faint feeling I literally just sat down in the tub. Put my head between my knees and breathed for a while. Felt nauseated for a bit. Finally felt a bit better, so rinsed off sitting down as much as possible, stood up slowly and finished rinsing....sat on the toilet and then the bed to dry off and get dressed. Tooky blood pressure, saw how low it was, double checked it on the other arm in case of poor placement/machine malfunction. Was quite low Googled what to do. Laid on the bed for a while with my feet up. Slowly sat up and took my pressure again. Still low. Tried drinking sweet tea (caffeine and sugar). No improvement. Called in sick, got a sub and laid on the bed with my feet up again before going to the Dr when they open. Of course by then their machine says my pressure is fine, but I'm still feeling a bit off. They did three types of pressure tests (laying, sitting, standing) and a urine test. They advised me to move slower from laying/sitting to standing especially in the morning, to not take hot showers especially right after getting up, and to reduce the water pill by half and if I need t take it more than three/four days a month or if I get low pressures for more than three/four days a month to come back in.

Of course by October I have to go back in anyway for prescription refills as I don't have any more left

I am much better. My machine is still reading slightly lower than normal pressures...so I am going to monitor it twice a day for a while.

Today, I am pretty sure one of the boys in the other class broke his arm. He fell off the top of the playground equipment! Argh! The poor kid was just sitting on the bench crying, and when I realized he was crying and got his teachers attention, she went over to him and realized it. He didn't come tell us he was hurt or anything!! Poor baby!! Several other students saw it happen so they were able to describe to us what happened so we could tell the nurse, as the teacher pretty much ran off with him as soon as she realized it was broken (it was bent WAY out of shape, but no bones sticking out or anything). EEEP.

Glad you're feeling better, but yes, definitely keep an eye on it more than normal!

Oh no, poor little guy! He might have been in so much pain it put him in shock, sometimes that happens. :( How scary for all the other kids, too!

Van wouldn't start at work today, so my FiL had to come bring me home. Alex and I went up and looked at it when he got home, then he came home and ordered a new starter for it. So. Ugh. Again. :P Cars are so many problems!

Tell me about it!! I talked to my brother and then Ryan today - my car just won't get cool. I know I am not driving it far, so it doesn't have a lot of time to cool down, but I've had other cars that are cool within 4-5min of leaving work, so.....anyway I asked if there was anything I could do to try and get the ac to run cooler. I'm already doing the whole roll down the windows to let out the hot air, turn the ac on, let it blow the hot air out, when it starts running cool, roll the windows up and turn on the max ac (recirculate). yeah. Not cooling down much at all. So they both were like, well it might need freon. Well thanks, I have no idea how to check that? Or where to buy it? or how to put it in? So Eric of course is all, well you can drive down here and I'll do it, but by the time you do that you'd probably have spent the same as if you paid someone to check and put some in..... and so then that is when I talked to Ryan and he showed me what I can buy at walmart and says he'll meet up with me this weekend to put it in. thank goodness :P Hopefully that will work. I do NOT want to spend more $ on my car, but I am also tired of being hot. And I have at least two more months of hot weather. It is very draining and not helping my "off" feelings at all. I am tired from being hot or am I tired from my blood pressure acting up? Or stress? or or or (cuz, yeah, you know, college classes start next week!) Same with when I get a headache, what is that from? Noise? Stress? Heat? Blood Pressure? ACK. NO CLUE!

Yeah the poor kid, I think so, he just cried and cried, and he is NOT one of their normal criers, which is why I got her when I realized he was crying and not the other one who is ALWAYS crying. (Time to clean up cry, time to line up cry, time for nap cry, teacher walks away cry, other kid looks at him cry - some kids are just soooo much!!)

Ugh that's the worst! The van has a slowwww freon leak, so every summer it needs to be refilled, which is fine now that you can just pick it up at walmart! It's nice that Ryan can come help you figure it out.

Oh no! :( Also it's so sad that there's just kids that cry so often that they kind of get ignored. :( That's so sad! (The kids, I mean. I understand how adults would kind of ignore a kid that cries -always-!)

We don't ignore them, I didn't mean that (I hope it isn't what's happening at home either, but I don't know) I just meant like, situations like, this one kid today, when the teacher left to take the other child to the nurse, as soon as he noticed she was gone, he started crying, no other reason other than he didn't see her. I get it, its something different, but I mean, its a bit much sometimes too. She says he does it in the room too - she will be sitting near him, get up to do something else and he'll cry because she walked away from where he was. Other kids just looked at me and my lead teacher and asked where their teacher was, and then went back to playing! We do our best to figure out WHY they are crying and help them sort their emotions, but eeep, some kids are very much a LOT of drama for no reason. I have one poor baby who just cries every day when we wake up after nap - no reason at all. I think she is just still tired. I rub her back and hug her and she calms down and is fine after.

Oh good, because it kind of seemed like the kid was crying on the bench but they thought it was the other kid so weren't entirely paying attention, you know? :(

Either way, it's sad! Poor little kids away from everything they're used to, you know?

No I just don't think she realized anyone was crying yet? I had just walked out, cheering on one kid who "helped" me get the recess radio - and then I was like, oh hey who is crying? And she is like, oh one always cries, and then was like "oh no wait, HE doesn't" and went to see.

They were halfway across the playground area from us too, so she just may not have heard him. We always try to figure out WHY they are crying....even if we just go (for example for the ones always crying)... "come on dude, its time to go in, I know you don't want to but we got to line up" and then kind of ignore the fact he's crying because we know he's just crying because he doesn't want to stop playing and all...just you gotta do this anyway even if it makes you cry type of thing.

Yeah, makes sense.

Ugh I'm so tired of the heat. :(

Also I've been gassy for 3 days now, I'm going crazy. IDK what it was, maybe the cauliflower? But it's been THREE DAYS. I ended up throwing up Tuesday morning too, IDK if it was related but like.. ugh.

Meeee toooo - so tired of the heat. I ALMOST miss the rain. It was so cool for a few days while it poured for nearly a week :P

Ooh gassy isn't fun. Pork does that to me a lot. Beans and broccoli too. Not fun. Not usually for mulitple days tho. Hope you aren't getting sick.

Yeah.. I felt a lot better after I threw up but it didn't go away. It's not as -painful- as it was that night and that morning, but it's still there and annoying, you know?

It doesn't normally happen so I'm like.. argh! :P

Yep. And so much more annoying when you are in an area you can't just excuse yourself off to be alone to deal with it :P Like, I can't just up and run off to the bathroom to fart or burp, but don't want to do it in front of all the kids hehehehe Sometimes you just got to anyway, it just won't let you hold back. And just FEELING like you are going to do something is awful too, because you just don't KNOW if it will come out.

Speaking of foods - lunch price is about ridiculous for adults now. I have to pay $5 for School lunch now. Insane almost!! Like, ok its STILL not as bad as some eat out places (like Firehouse, a sub is $10 lol) BUT when I am only eating a corndog and smiley fries, because I don't like coleslaw or blueberries and I don't get the milk, I just REALLY don't feel like its worth $5!! ARGH And the kids are still free.... wish I was. Or that I could apply for reduced price adult meals hahahah!!! So I'm trying to figure out some variety for lunch items, kind of like I did over the summer. But I really don't like having to remember to pack my lunch either. Ugh. More annoying things in life eh?

Oh wow, that is expensive!

Though ours are also $4.20, but there's always at least two fresh veggies, one hot veggie, at least one fresh fruit and a canned fruit, plus whatever else.

And the salads are really big and totally worth the $4.20 alone, I think. Salads are expensive!

But yeah no I definitely get that. Especially since you hate leftovers, that makes lunches difficult!

Exactly! Not liking leftovers makes it harder. I did take some spanish rice today. Leftover :P I bought myself some applesauce and some mandarin orange cups last weekend. I have some trail mix right now, and cheese. We don't do salads. They did for a while and they were pretty good, but no full size lunch salads anymore. Not for years. We normally have the milk, main dish - tomorrows choices are chicken tenders, salisbury steak and yougurt plate (which includes graham crackers or goldfish and a cheese stick) - two veggie choices and a fruit. Fresh/canned varies. We get diced peaches pears or pineapples or mixed fruit, but we also get bananas, apples, oranges, plums, etc. So its a mash up on what shows up in the menu.

IT was $4.50 last year. And $4.25 half the year before that and only like $3.50 the year before that!!

At the elementary school, adults have to preorder the salads, but they're there! Actually, apparently they now have a full adult menu? Which is crazy but kind of cool.

That would be nice. Of course, I am very basic for my salads, so not sure how well it would work for me lol (I am an iceberg lettuce, cheddar cheese, sunflower seeds (or bacos) and thousand island type of girl. You can add some veggies to it, like cucumbers, black olives or maybe shredded carrots. I also like sliced/diced tomatoes but NOT baby tomatoes. Nothing else. And so many salads come with cabbage, onion, and croutons. :P Bleh.

I am almost done questing. Have Saggie and Wiz. May or may not do battle quests today. Finished Drills earlier, try to get him and kumos quests out of the way in the mornings now days.

Well, these you can take things off, so it'd be fine!

I do like the red cabbage in it though, and shredded carrots.. though ours come with baby carrots? And cheese, which I don't like. So I'm glad that I'm not in the HS and get to chose whatever the heck I want :P

Some of those salads, its hard to pick out the cabbage and onions. But yep. I have done it. I'd prefer the baby carrots, just so I could eat them off on the side instead of in the salad lol I absolutely HATE when I bite into an onion. I can handle the cabbage if I miss taking it out. But onion. YUCK.

Oh, I mean you can take them off on the form, not pick them off! I hate that, too LOL. Plus the flavor is just.. ON it, then!
