BHH? Congrats!

Yea it might have been!! Sheeesh. But my clinic said they don't do vaccines, and I said I just need to have proof that I've had them, I know I did when I was younger....so she went and looked up the prices for the tests for me. Sheesh. I almost walked away to try and figure out something else, but I doubted I'd be able to, so I just paid. I had hoped to use my care credit card I got when I did my glasses, but they wouldn't take it because it didn't have the visa/mastercard logo. sigh So much for that being useful beyond the glasses I guess.

Oh hahah a pretzel sounds good. Not so much for a whole dinner, but I love them as snacks. Yea Wendy's is expensive depending on what you get!! Now me, I usually get the biggie bag and go cheap. But Nathan likes the baconators and pretzel burgers and stuff and if we are together I spend nearly $20!! Its insane, for just 2 people!

However, the universe was kind to me. As I'd tried to order a laptop (that I won't need until fall semester) but it got cancelled because it wasn't in stock after all - so instead of a laptop I paid for proof of immunizations. sheesh. That is a good thing or I'd be out yet another $300!! (for the laptop) LOL

[edit] 7am So my baby girl came over yesterday to hang out, so we spent the afternoon playing games. She's coming back some time this morning to do Christmas. Then they'll go up to his grandmas. Today tho I also have to run back to the doctor office and get my test results. So that'll interrupt that time. We are going to have Christmas Eve lunch - a pot roast - and I had to go to walmart first thing this morning because I didn't have soy sauce :P Ack. LOL Oh well. Its cooking now in the crockpot. Also we'll have mac&cheese, broccoli & rice casserole, cornbread and or yeast rolls, corn on the cob, carrots (maybe) and chocolate pudding pie. Oh boy I just realized a lot of that starts with C lol Cheese, casserole, cornbread, corn/cob, carrots, chocolate :P

Tomorrow the boys and I will have breakfast - pancakes and bacon - and then lunch or dinner depending on what we feel like - honeybaked ham, leftover casserole/mac&cheese, cornbread, yeast rolls (if there are any left), corn/cob, whatever other veggies we feel like, I forgot the olives :| bad me, and pumpkin pie!

Happy Lumi everyone. It feels like ages since I’ve been online properly just been so so busy.

Thank you to everyone to put a present under my tree. I shall be sending gifts over the next couple of days. I’m so unorganised on here which is so different to real life.

I haven't opened gifts yet or anything, but I think I only ended up stuffing two trees before I actually got sick and now I've basically been asleep the past few days.

Covid Christmas up in here! But the kids all had a great Christmas, and we're still going over my inlaws because, well, they probably already have it to soooo.. it is what it is!

[edit] I've forgotten how to do so much on thisw site. I can't figure out where to change which pet it shows under my HA, or how to find crystals to add to my weapons. I know I hit the wrong side of 35 this year, but come one brain 😆

- for the pet leash - if you click on "pets" on the personal menu and load that page, there is a "leash" option at the top of the page that shows all of your pets and I think that is how you choose which pet to "leash" onto your HA on the forums. I haven't done it since I first put Ruan on tho, so I may be wrong. Crystals for weapons would be bought from the battle shop - I go to the battle coliseum and then go to the battle shop using the link there...then after you buy the crystals you "modify" your weapons in your armory using the link in the armory.

Yes I hope you get better soon! Its not fun being sick on holidays. But someone usually is, in my family. I'm surprised we are all healthy for Christmas, but maybe I preempted it by going to the doctor for vaccination proof lol

I have been doing well - work, school, work, school. Then finally vacation time! :P I stayed home of course, but no work or school!! LOL I finished my associate degree and in January I will begin my bachelor's degree program. So, I am enjoying this 3-4 week break of no college classwork, and the 2 1/2 weeks I have off from working at the school.

What else since I've talked to you... Oh yes, I have also finally gotten a new contractor out to finish the work on my house. So, my windows have been replaced and he will start putting up siding today or tomorrow (it rained yesterday so I don't know if it's too wet for that today or not).

[edit] 1045am Uploaded all my school documents. There wasn't even a place to upload the stupid TB test. Oh well :P It was only $20 to do it and now I know and have the paperwork for it. I also stuffed all the originals into my folder to keep together just in case. Sent an email to my advisor asking what the other upload form is for - it is the only one NOT required and all it says is "FA - upload document - not required" No idea what that is, so I asked :P Even said I saw that it is not required but that I wanted to know what it was. (I'm thinking FA could be financial aid - but they have that already so I dunno??) Now just waiting for the transcript to update - I ordered that like the last day the school was open, so they probably won't process it until after they open back up in Jan... And still waiting on DECAL - they're probably closed for the holiday break too LOL so it probably won't open/update til sometime in Jan also.

Everyone still got together yesterday because everyone was sick. Disaster of a Christmas, but it was still fun!

Lily is sniffling, El has an earache, my MiL and SiL have a stomach bug, and my ear hurts and I'm just so. tired.

Well, the most important thing is I finally got up the courage to talk to my biological dad on Christmas Day. The conversation went well and I'm really glad I talked to him. I mean, neither of us is getting any younger. XD Other then that it's been relatively quiet around here and I hope it stays that way. :D

- that is good! I am glad the conversation with your bio dad went well. My dad was adopted (at 3yrs old) and my youngest brother too (at about age 4, though we had him as a foster since age 1 1/2). So, I know a little about adoption/foster on the flip side of it. My dad reached out to his family and is glad he did, (he is in his 70s now, but met them in his 20s I think?) and my brother did the same, when he was younger. In my dad's case, he kept in touch with most of them (umm, there was a LOT of them born after his mom/dad split and got new partners), but for my brother, he stopped contact with his bio mom, but I think is still in touch with his bio sister. I do not know if he ever met his bio dad. It is different and difficult for everyone, I think. BUT I think it is good you at least made contact and can now see if you want the relationship to go anywhere!

oh, my goodness that is too much illness. Ya'll need to all stay away from each other, take medication if needed and get better, so you don't keep passing it all around!

Sorry, guys, I forgot you don't ping here. My bad. XD I'm really glad the convo went well, too. I was a bit anxious about the whole thing so I'm really happy my anxiety was unfounded. I have 2 half-sisters and one half-brother. I've been in contact with one of my half-sisters ( on my mother's side) and she seems a little spacy but nice. I doubt I'll ever meet or talk to the other two as they both live in England and have nothing to do with my dad. On that note, I don't have to worry about talking to my mom. She died 9 years ago. Which means I can't ask her any of the good questions like "Why?" And my half-sister knows nothing so unless one of my aunts on that side knows something I'm sh-t out of luck. I'm sorry to hear you've been ill, mieke. I hope you feel better soon. Being sick sucks. :D

And thanks, feling much better now! I never felt sick from Covid, but I got a double inner ear infection on top of it and that knocked me tf out LOL.

Yeah, finding out she was dead was a blow but I kind of suspected she was gone. It was just a feeling I had. So, it was kind of spooky to find out she was really gone. I'm sure the aunts know but my sister is reluctant to either tell them about me or tell me about them. I'm not sure which. I'm slowly getting the back story. Strange thing is that those who are still alive, that I've spoken to, don't want to say anything, except my dad. He's telling me everything from the time he was born to today. XD Now, I'm going to have to write an autobiography for him.

I think I would contact the aunts on your own if you can (and want to) rather than relying on sister. They probably do know some answers.....tho maybe not the all important "why", but maybe they do, or at least partly why. Also. Lol at the dad's autobiography. I got my dad storyworth for Christmas this year. It sends him an email with a question weekly. He can answer more often by logging in. At the end of a year we get a book of all his stories based on the questions he answered. So I guess I am kind of doing my dad's autobiography that way lol
