Hahaha sadly I say no. Price of living/food will go up and you'll be able to eat OR afford a bigger apartment. Life sucks eh? Maybe he can get a job, continue to live with you and contribute to that bigger apartment and his own food costs!!! 😝 (If he hasn't/doesn't already) This is honestly what I am hoping will happen with Nathan, at least for a couple of years (til I graduate and get hired as a certified teacher). At that point I am hoping my increased income will suffice for me to take care of all things for me on my own

My MiL said a few weeks ago she'd be away for mothers day, and that we'd do mothers day the next weekend. OK cool, whatever. Yay, my first mothers day where it's actually about me! :P

OK fine, you know what, it's fine, wahtever, we'll do it the day before. Except now my MiL just texted yesterday to say "Yay let's do the 11th because I won't be there on the 12th!" and Alex was like "that's good because I'll be at work the next weekend anyway" so, OK, fine, whatever, I honestly don't need the day to be about me anyway, like, it's honestly whatever.

BUT. ALL I WANTED HIM TO DO. ALL I WANTED. Was for HIM to reach out to his mother and see what she wanted him to make, so that I don't have to be a part of the disaster that is her life. And did he? NO. And THEN he accused me of throwing a temper tantrum. Which I really wasn't, but I'm about to!

I even said, I have to drop Lily and Sean off over there later so Akira can do her hair and nails for prom, and I don't want to deal with it, please just answer her.

And he still hasn't. And just like.. urgh, men.

And THEN he was like "It's your mothers day too, what do you want to eat?" Well, no, because us buying all the stuff and making the food is your present to her, so it's really what SHE wants. Which, again, is fine, because he can make me dinner whenver so I DON'T CARE. But I don't want to make decisions about stupid stuff! Just text her jesus fucking christttttttttttt.

Is the child's birthday actually ON mothers day? Why the heck would that mom want the party on HER day unless that was the case (we have a kid in our classroom whose actual birthday is ON mothers day this year).

AND UGH UGH UGH. THIS late of a notice I would be like NO! You said you were not going to be here this weekend, I already made plans (even if you didn't) :P And if he wants to go over to his moms on Saturday, SUNDAY can STILL be about YOU!!!! (excepting for the birthday party I guess, unless you choose not to go to that).

AND HECK YES> HE CAN CONTACT HIS OWN MOTHER!! He can find out what she wants (AND Make you want YOU want ON MOTHERS DAY too!) I hated talking to my ex-MIL - mainly because I knew she didn't like me anyway. But Ryan was good about doing the talking to her, of course we were not as involved or close as your family seems to be (even tho I know you have issues with her)

I probably won't get any gifts. A call from Katie and/or Shane most likely. Unless I give Nathan $ and say "Go buy me something for Mothers Day" :P Which I have been considering doing. Which I end up doing at Christmas too sigh Us moms can't get a break sometimes.

omg, mieke, you should rant more often. I bet you let it fly the next time you saw him. I really can't say much about mother-in-laws as mine is dead, rest her soul. (No, seriously, rest her soul because I don't want her haunting me!) I'm guessing you've tried to explain things like this to her before and it didn't work? In that case, it's yyour hubby job to take care of her whims, not yours. To be honest, though, I haven't had a mother's day with all my kids together in the last 5 years. It seems, once they leave home, they forget days like Mother's Day unless they're starving or need laundry done. I hope you're able to get your special day because you deserve at least one special day, whenever iit is. Put your foot down!

I'm doing good. Being lazy. It's a cloudy sprinkley day. I mowed the lawn last night and am glad I did because it rained all night lol got it mowed just in time for it to be watered and grow. Spending my day being lazy and reading. Need to go buy a new bottle brush for my bottles I use for tea for my lunches tho. Ugh. And go shopping. Tomorrow.

I did sign open my school email and see my final exam got graded so I logged on and saw I got a 100! So that is a 100 for that class!! The last week's work is still to be graded in the other class but I have expectations of 100s there too as I've gotten them on all work so far there.

No, his birthday isn't on mothers day. Megan is just crazy, as I think we've talked about before :P

And I mean, it's from 3-6 so there goes all that :P And Lily has to help at church in the morning so.. it's fine. I really DON'T mind not having a day, because like.. it wouldn't be about me anyway, except for dinner. :P

But like.. ALL I asked him to do was reach out to his mom,instead of making me do it! It's not that hard!

Today is wet here too, or will be later! I was still so annoyed.. and from work yesterday, that after the library I got home and finished lopping off the tree branches, drug them all alway, got alex to come out real quick with the chainsaw and take down the rest, then I lopped down a few maple trees that were invading other trees , then I chopped down some of the other bush so that the little piece of the azelea that's left can maybe survive and thrive and grow.. then I mowed the lawn. Now I'm not fed up anymore haha.

Ooooh but I'll tell you what got me riled up yesterday.. "We need men to move tables, we need women for the kitchen. We need men to sign up to mow. We need women to sign up for pies and cakes." NO. You need PEOPLE. Stop it. STOP. IT. STOP IT.

Wow you were busy in the yard. Working that much surely did help buen off energy and annoyance. And yes. They need PEOPLE!! Let the people choose what they want to do also.

And....it's easier to say than to do but just ... Don't contact his mom even if he doesn't? I'd either of them says why didnt you ..you say I told/asked him to... Oh well if he didn't at that point!!! 😝

There is poison ivy everywhere I want to work in my yard. So I can't do a damn thing. The neighbors friend, who is designed her yard and planting things and who knows what else (and for free! Lucky neighbor!) is babbling something about cleaning out the terrace. Which is what I'm talking about about that is covered in poison ivy I would absolutely love for her to do it. I've tried and tried and it just regrows back to a jumbled mess and then honeysuckles and poison ivy take over again!!!

Well, I texted this morning and said that Alex said he'd cook, he just needs to know what she wants, or an idea of what she wants.

So.. now everyone is on the same page :P

Also. The Barbie movie? So stupid. But! The clothes and the dreamhouses etc in the Barbie world are really really cool!

[edit] 845am I just spent ugh amount of money for practically nothing at walmart today. I did get a mattress topper, and painting supplies tho. So...yea. I am going to paint my front door finally. And the door frame. I couldn't decide, so I got both colors - I either want to do it all white (like it is), or the frame black and the door white, or the door black and the frame white.... The shutters and soffit are black, the siding is white. I like the idea of a black door, because then the dirt won't show as much (I hope) but then I thought, then the frame shouldn't be black to match, should it? Or I guess it could and then I was like, I'll just get both colors and decide later... LOL I only got a small bucket of each, since last time I did a project and bought big buckets I never used all the paint. Hopefully I don't run out of paint :P I also plan to paint the porch post (its brown wood right now) either black or white, whatever I have enough paint left over for it!

Ooooh, that's a lot of choices, even with only two colors!

I discussed with Nathan and we decided for black and black lol It's all painted, 2 coats. The 2nd coat is drying now. I will see if it needs a third. I forgot primer because the last time I bought paint I bought big gallons and it was paint plus primer in one Oh well! Debating if I want to try and sand/paint the other side ..which would be white. Inside side.

Edit It started sprinkling so I just put the door back on. I guess I'll eventually paint the inside

Thank you, but Mothers Day is this upcoming weekend (when I was all up in arms about short notice my brain was thinking "its tomorrow" (meaning I was thinking it was yesterday) hahaha but comments STILL stand!)

And thanks about the door. Still want to do the inside too (its almost as nasty as the outside, with the dirt and grime from years and animals). But so much to do in the next few weeks it probably won't get done. Since my dad and other family is coming (starting Tuesday the 21st) I'm going to spend this upcoming weekend cleaning house. MAJORLY. Like I need to shampoo the carpets, and vacuum all the cat fur off the couches, and Nathan needs to SCOUR his bathroom from top to bottom (i looked in there to get water from the sink the other day, YUCK, how can one boy be so gross/messy? its cans of soda and monster poured out and left in the sink, same with water bottles, random stuff all over the counter, trash all over the floor - tissue, papers, toilet paper rolls, plastic wrapping from toilet paper, etc), he leaves the shower curtain open, so he probably needs a new liner (it gets moldy if its open, squished together can't dry!) Floor needs swept and mopped. The rugs have some sort of stain on them. Yuck. Might buy new rugs. I know its from outside because I remember it happening, so don't worry about what TYPE of stain lol But its just so gross.

Anyway. He talked to me this weekend about his online boyfriend coming to graduation. I am fine with it, no other family has said they are coming (only my parents, his dad, siblings) - so boyfriend and sister (boyfriend is under 18) are supposedly riding the train from North Carolina to Atlanta and Nathan is supposed to go pick them up there, because they don't have a car that will make the trip. I hope that the boyfriend does come, because Nathan will be upset if they can't I bet :( But maybe this will push him to get his grades up and PASS the dang classes so he WILL graduate!! (he has a 67 and a 69 in his English classes and he has to have a 70 to pass) He only has a two weeks left!!! A week and a half until his finals. I have three weeks of kids left, and four weeks total for work before I get summer break.

Last night I dreamed I checked my schedule for college and found out I was registered for summer classes and was panicking and trying to figure out who to contact to get me OUT of the classes!! (Which I didn't need and were random classes like Music Classification or Art Appreciation) LOL

What Alex was being was definitely lazy and an ass. :P

Ugh I can see from here that two days of rain have made bushes and plants take over the stairs.

There's like a foot to walk through now.

Ugh Kat, that's a crazy dream! The other night I had one that VBS had started and we had no plan and no one knew what was going on and I just kept saying "BUT WE HAVEN'T HAD A MEETING YET!". So.. brains are telling us something, I think :P

Good job on the door, it looks nice! I need to clean the inside of my doors again too, and wash the walls in a few places. And I really want to just take the screen door off the back door, it doesn't close and something scratched the bottom all up so it's kind of sharp. I guess I just need to get after it and see what I need to take it off..

And now it's May, so I can put the shovels away in the shed instead of having them by the doors LOL.

I am not sure if I want a screen door or not. Now that I have screens in my windows again it would be nice to open windows and doors sometimes. I'd have to move and clean up the dog pen area first It's smelly and right outside my bedroom window lol I don't think we've had a screen door in front since the first couple years we rented. And never on the back ..

There is so much cleaning I really need to do and never do. I never wash windows. Or clean floor boards. I rarely mop unless something sticky spills or it just gets grungy. I rarely dust (and I need to dust the ceiling I noticed a ring of dust on the ceiling around the ceiling fan blades roflmao!!!) My walls have dirty marks here and there and in my bedroom by the door there is mud splatter all along the wall where I let the dogs inside from the pen...yuck and food splatter on the walls near the trash can. Not sure how that happens but it does. Also yuck. So much cleaning to do

What do you think my brain was telling me with the dream where I was trying to put a baby to sleep (like maybe 1-2yr old) and ended up going from cuddling with a pacifier to nursing it, and then yelling at Shane who was leaving to hang with friends but looked sooooo weird and different...and all his friends (instead of the one id agreed to) were traipsing into my bedroom to change clothes in my bathroom before they went to party or mudding or whatever...while I was trying to settle said baby down to sleep!!! Oh and the bathroom/bedroom layout was my mom's bedroom not mine lol

[edit] Got home and checked my email, final grades have been put in by the teacher (not the FINAL final grades, but all things have been graded) - 100 in both classes! WHOOP! Go me!!

We have a screendoor on the front, but it doesn't latch :P But it's in good shape, at least! The one on the back doesn't latch, doesn't CLOSE, AND isn't in good shape!

And yeah.. I think we all have a ton of cleaning to do LOL. there's just never enough time! (or want?)

I have no clue at that dream, but it just sounds like everyone is crazy and everything is changing :P

Yeah, never really enough want here, either! :P Though I've been working outside lately, at least! I've been chopping trees and bushes down lately haha.

Outside is like.. my thing, inside I get annoyed with the girls :P

I need to finish my yard - raking around the oak tree, and re-mulch the apple trees

I chopped down all the branches to get to the inside of the tree.. well, it was a bush, but it turned into a tree haha. Had to get Alex out to use the chainsaw on three parts of it, because it was 8 inches across!

But now there's one part left that's still alive.. and another piece growing out of the ground! Then I lopped off some more branches from a bush that was kind of taking over the poor azalea.. then I cut down a few maple trees growing in other trees! Then I trimmed some dead branches from my lilac bushes, and cut down some vine thing that was growing on them...

Then I raked everything up from around the azalea that's left. :P Tomorrow? Maybe? The forsithia needs be cleaned up, and the trees leaving my parking spot, and by the mailbox and the trash cans. But.. it'll be fine :P
