wireless things like laptops sound ideal until you realise the charging cable is so ridiculously short! Although having said that, I bought a cable to connect my computer to my tablet, and hadn't realised the cable was 3 metres long laughs - that's almost enough to connect it from a different room! :P
nods I didn't want to take the plunge and buy one if it wasn't something I could get to grips with in the first place ;)
Unfortunately I've got a reasonably thick pile carpet :P but I think when I get as far as getting the room redecorated in the future, I'll probably go with a laminate floor (or similar) which should be a lot easier to clean!

hi :) Sorry I've been so, spotty. Between pain and everything else it's been hard. But I keep trying, you know? How are you two?
Violin lesson was great. I'm really enjoying it. :)
love the nutcracker outfit by the way :D
Pleased the violin lesson went well - have you managed to get the hang of any more Christmassy songs yet?
I'm finding motivation challenging at the moment, which wasn't helped by the neighbour banging on the wall at about 9pm yesterday because we had the washing machine on a spin cycle (the washing machine doesn't seem to spin as much water out as it should, so we had to run the spin cycle again to get the washing dry enough to take out). I find it really intimidating when that neighbour bangs on the wall like that - he does it for any noise he seems to disapprove of (someone walking up or down the stairs too loudly, the washing machine, the paper shredder, or even when I was in the bathroom at the top of the stairs and chirped to whatever budgie we had at the time o.O). The neighbours the other side of us, had their washing machine starting up at 3am most mornings at one point, so it's not like 9pm is a particularly unsociable time of day for it to be finishing!

why thank you :D your Lumi ha is darling :D
I think I did yes :D
I can get that on the motivation I've been having the same problem as well. ugh that would be rather annoying. LOL I don't think he'd enjoy my practicing very much :D
HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
and another snazzy HA you've got now :D
hehe I will admit to playing Evanescence on the keyboard (along to the CD) pretty loud during the afternoon just to try and annoy him after he's done that banging on the wall 😇
Happy Christmas :D What did you get this year?

why thank you. Wanted to use some pressies :D looks like Niamh is also busy with new things :D
HAHA excellent :D
I got utterly spoilt. I got Batman Arkam, Lego Harry potter 1-7 and Mario Wonders video games for the Switch. I also got some paints to keep in my roomy room, several stencils for my art journals, The Peter Capaldi three seasons of his Doctor who (its 3 series and was an awesome price), tuner for the violin, violin song book, dragon diamond dot, fair amount of sweets too. I think i'm forgetting something lol but that's the bulk of it from my folks. You?
and another great new HA :D hehe Niamh's mostly using things from the advent calendar (apart from the bird on her shoulder) as I was saving the things under the tree for later today ;)
oooo that's a great haul! :D I had Christmas socks, an Amazon voucher, Cinnamon Roll bubble bar from Lush, colouring book, hand cream and an 'IOU' voucher from Mum & Dad for an iron (so I can pick one myself rather than them deciding) seeing as I keep borrowing Mum's whenever I'm sewing :P

thank you :D i love the little birdy, though its more forest than I thought you'd like.
I got a break open geodes box as well. But we spent over 2 hours trying to crack one open (box of 2) and finally got through it and its like 99.2% rock. There's this teeny sliver of crystal that's not even worth keeping. So I did call and complain about that and they are sending another box for me. LOL hopefully the next time it won't take so long to open it. If it does, I think we're gonna just buy a geode already opened lmao.
Oh sounds like some nice things :D Oh I LOVE my iron. It's got a retractable cord and it does steam. It's way better than Mum's iron and my old one too. I got it on Amazon. Hope you can get a nice one :D
Love the dragon look today! :D
Niamh's been collecting the little birdies, and seeing as it's only tiny then it's not complete forest 😇
Never come across that kind of thing before - it sounds quite fun, although not much of a great result if there's only 0.8% in it!
ooo which make it yours, seeing as the cord always gets in a knot with Mum's one? I can't use steam in an iron as we're in a hard water area so I'd have to use filtered water to achieve it.... if it needs steam, I just use a spray bottle to make the fabric damp then iron it :P

I am doing well thanks, it was nice being at my mom's place with Pusur for a few days over Christmas. :D I'm glad your violin lesson was fun. Less so about the pain tho. :(
Cables that are too long can be a nightmare too. :P Wireless is great until you need to use something and notice they are out of power. :nods: My flat, except for the tiles in my bathroom, has hardwood floors in all rooms. The thing with carpets is that you need special equipment to get them properly cleaned. :)

I had that trouble with my wireless headphones the other week - I put them on, and realised they were near enough on zero percent charge (seeing as they automatically shut off again) 😊 at least with phones they tell you the percentage so it's not just guesswork!
nods we actually bought a carpet washer in the sale last month.... mainly for my Grandparents' flat as there's some ketchup stains on the carpet(!) but I figured it could also come in useful here as well. We've not been able to try it out yet though (still need to get the carpet washing liquid to put in it), but that's next month's job ;)
A lot of flats over here have rules that you can't have hardwood flooring, as it allows too much noise to travel through the floor to the flat below you.... but I think anything other than carpet would be loads easier to clean thoroughly, especially if you've got a pet ;)

thank you :D playing with new wears lol I love Niamh's antlers :D
well they are are cute little birdies :D
it was kinda fun to see dad whack it with a hammer when we gave up on the chisel lmao. hopefully the next ones are better :D it was neat.
sunbeam I believe. Ah but they cool thing is you can turn on or off the steam and steam it from a far as well. So yeah, you could used bottled water if you needed a really good steam. But the iron itself can get rid of some of the worst wrinkles much faster than my cheapy iron and best of all, it really wasn't that expensive.
glad you had a nice time :D yeah the pain has been hard to deal with honestly.
and another great HA today! :D hehe Niamh wanted to look Christmassy, but she wasn't overly keen on the antlers :P
ROFL that would've been worth recording him do that ;)
I might take a look at that brand then :D

I can imagine that it takes its toll on you. :squishes:
My phone battery lasts a long time unless I watch a lot of videos. That is exactly why I prefer headphones that are not wireless. ;)
The carpet washer should prove to be useful, albeit not the most fun activity in the world. :P No rules here that mandate that you need to have carpets in flats, so it is more common to see hardwood floors. Same in houses these days really.

The only problem I found with wired headphones is that the cable isn't long enough! :P
It could be quite satisfying to actually get the carpet looking cleaner though ;) That's quite surprising that there's no rules against hardwood floors in flats - I guess there's a lot of sound-proofing built in, so you don't hear the upstairs neighbours walking over the floor?

That is the downside of having cords. :P
I can't hear my neighbors all that much really. Granted, I am unsure if it is because of my bad hearing or soundproofing. :P

You'd think there'd be an industry standard length for headphone cables though, given that you should at least be able to plug headphones into something you're sitting next to.... even the cable to charge my wireless ones doesn't reach to the top of my computer desk from the computer base unit where it plugs in (I have to leave the headphones on the chair and hope nobody else tries sitting down!) :P
Gran & Grandad used to live in an old terraced house, but even though the outside walls were really thick, you could hear the next door neighbour talking in their kitchen o.O And where we are (a newer terraced house than Gran & Grandad's was) you can even hear the loo flush from next door o.O

speaking of, I love that ha you've got there. What's the jumper?
right? lol it was all BOOM! lmao it went everywhere lmao.
its definately sunbeam. I love it. Wonderful iron.
it really does. :/ i'm working on better coping skills to manage the toll it is taking.
it's not as good as your one.... which I'm going to take a few steps back to admire it fully 😇 The jumper is - I was looking for something neon to go with the background :P
ROFL if he tries that again, you really need to have a camera running ;)

cheers lol I love how creepy it came out :D I wish there was a flaming pitchfork, which was what I wanted originally to hold. neat looking new one today. :D
lol I'll try to remember. My new geodes arrived yesterday. They are jumbo which is an upgrade so that's exciting.
