So it was late 80's and into the 90's for wrestling... gotta remember you're like 10yrs younger than me.
Some of the old Superbowl commercials are timeless. Loved the frogs and the Clydesdales and off the top of my head I can't remember much else. I don't rememeber them or even the half time show being as big of a deal as it is these days (meaning within the past 15+ years... probably more like 20).
There was actually one superbowl I watched with my youngest daughter. It wasn't playing on anything I was subscribed to (not like these days) so I found it streaming on my laptop and connected my laptop to the tv (S-video cable) and displayed it there. Don't even remember who the half time show was but I know she stayed w/ me on the couch for a good couple of hours until then and when it was over, she was done.
We are currently watching the bengals against the bills. As a brownie I can’t support the bungals.

We had the Budweiser frog advert over here too. However most if the adverts that show during the Super Bowl aren’t available in the uk.

When the Seahawks were in teh superbowl a few years ago, someone who went to school with me was one of the coaches, which was super cool! I think the entire area was cheering for them.

Ok, now I might have to watch the bowl on my own, lol. Everyone talking about it has made me want to watch it again although the commercial quality has seriously diminished. Even half time shows are pretty lame... Put Eminem on there and I'll watch for days. :P (I have a broad music interest so don't judge me if you don't like him... or even if you do...)
Omg I put a hunk of pork in the oven to slow cook for a few hours and it smells INCREDIBLE!! Gonna take it out now and try not to eat until later, lol. No real reason other than wanting to enjoy my buzz for longer.
Catboxes and area have been fully cleaned and I've been working on my tree. Should have the Xmas deco down within an hour. I hate how boring it looks afterwards.
Just found my gaiters so I can throw them on w/ treated boots and give the chickens some leftover food stuff I have, as well as dethaw their water and have the dog run around like an idiot in the snow.

Ever since Nathan was little, he has always rooted for the "bird" teams lol so Seahawks, falcons, eagles etc. I don't know if he still does now or not. We rarely watch
I agree commercial quality has decreased. So has halftime shows. Not that they are all bad, just...not as good as I remember.
Chickens got their goodies... dog ran around like an idiot and I decided to do shoveling while I was out there so I got the majority shoveled away from the side and behind my car. I toss most snow over in the neighbor's yard, lol. They have a big drain but that should be on my side since the road tilts towards my house and so does the entire hill so I get everyone's shit.
Other than spilling some warm water on my leg, I was pretty cozy in my regular coat, gaiters and hiking boots. No gloves. SO drastically different than that crazy sub temp in December. This snow is pretty light, although there's no ice mixed in with it and it's not frozen like it was then. I started to and just gave up during that time. Brother was here and didn't lift a finger... naturally.
Does anyone know who the half time show is going to be?

Well Congrats!! I've been buying the ones I can so I can battle, get XP and get achievements when they have them. Usually I think I bought two or three a month all last year. I think the rest of them are beyond my abilities. Maybe next year.
Still no home internet. I guess I will use some time after school to work on things I have to do/can do easier on the Chromebook at school. Hey wait I keep forgetting Nathan has a laptop. Maybe I'll steal that for at home. If the hotspot will connect to it....since it won't work on the computer I don't know if it will on the laptop? Maybe.. If I can't do what I need to (I have to turn in a word document and I couldn't figure out how on my tablet).....I'll have to go to the library I guess and see if I can do it there. But I think the laptop or Chromebook should work.

Tired and a little sore today. Already made a mess of dishes from my dinner last night and have no motivation to clean it.
Works done. I didn’t kill Noreen but there’s always tomorrow, gym also done. Dinner is in the oven.

Ian’s fuming as the scaffolder’s didn’t turn up and the didn’t even bother to let him know they weren’t coming.

Well. Got the insurance estimate and payment today. However due to depreciation, the amount I got isn't even half the amount I'll need to do the repairs. Naturally. There is this thing in my policy I have where I'll get some money back AFTER doing the repairs.... Which will help but how do I find the rest of the $ I need in the first place? Also the more I am reading into FEMA assistance the more it is looking like I will end up being referred to gat a SBA loan. Which I guess I will need to do if so, since I'll need $ to repair the car and the house. At this point I don't care about replacing the grill canopy or porch swing or even the fence (tho it looks like he gave us funds to replace the whole fence not just the knocked down sections....) So the personal property funds can be used to help pay for house repair as far as I am concerned.
And...Ryan is being pissy about the fact that the personal property funds were sent to ME as the resident instead of HIM as the homeowner and the fact MY name is on the insurance policy. WTF!!!!!! My name has been on the policy forever but I guess he never realized that. And he is screaming about how it never should have been because only his name is on the mortgage.
And he wonders why the hell I wanted to put the mortgage in MY name after he moved out.
I wanted to say to him that I'd use the tax return to help pay for the house repairs instead of a down payment on getting a mortgage in my name, which I will do that if I need to/can, but I am still wondering how he will react when he realizes how much HE will owe in taxes with us filing separate and me claiming Nathan.

Wholly shit, Kat. That sounds... I don't know, damn near useless. Less than half is insane! Why is Ryan being such a baby about you receiving the payment when it's you that's going to be taking care of the repairs?
The tax thing is probably going to really piss him off. Have you guys decided to alternate years or has their been any discussion on it... or just being avoided? My ex and I used our tax return the year we got divorced and I chose to get a runner car (gawd they were so much easier to find back then, and it lasted 5yrs!) and allow him to use the rest for the lawyer, which can only represent one person. I got screwed and that lawyer gave him every year of tax claims for our child (youngest) since I was able to claim my oldest, I guess. It made for some tough years, since I have never received any support for my oldest by her pos bio dad.

The painters text this morning to say they weren’t coming today after all. So it’ll be tomorrow and Thursday they’ll be working. Doesn’t help after we’ve moved everything out the hall and kitchen.
When I brought it up, he said I could claim Nathan. It's only for two more years anyway and then Nathan will be 18. He won't be going to college so he won't even be able to be considered a student dependent. At the point I'll have to see what kind of dependant I can claim him as for as long as he continues living with me after that. Nothing of course is decided legal-wise. But I did write down what he said. And if he does get pissed off....well I tried to warn him multiple times.
Until I get a contractor or whatever to actually give a quote, I don't know for sure what the repair cost will be. But I was basing that "less than half" off the "replacement cost" vs the "actual cost" value listed on the estimate. And like I said, I will be able to get more back after getting the work done ...but ... Ugh
Wouldn't you have to had agree to that before you signed papers? Or did you not see it in the paperwork til after? Once he ever files I will be reading over the papers and making sure I know exactly what is said and who gets/does what and I don't plan to sign if it's not something I agreed to. I sometimes wonder if he is planning on waiting til Nathan is 18 so I can't get more child support out of him than he is already giving me right now. Because from what I looked up I could legally get so much more if I wanted to fight about it. I don't. I only need what we need to be able to buy groceries. And hopefully in 2 yrs I'll have better income personally. And if Nathan stays he will have to get a job to help buy his groceries and such.
Edit: after reading over what I wrote again. He also said I can claim Nathan because Nathan is living with me. So that made sense to him for me to claim him.
And sheesh . How annoying that those folks aren't showing up when they said they would. Makes me think how frustrating it may be for me once I look I to repair work. Ugh
If I disagreed with anything, it would've made the process drawn out and I would've been by myself battling against a lawyer and I didn't know (still not very good) at looking up legal proceedings and self representation. I honestly didn't understand what that meant at the time, either. There are 2 portions of taxes that you can claim and I just didn't know but even if I did - battle a lawyer??? No. I agreed b/c I really didn't have any other options. I also thought that by being agreeable (extremely naïve) was the way to go for co-parenting, but I really got screwed over.
They should be insured so hopefully you can get that fixed sooner than later but that's just really shitty of them. I don't know how it is over there but online reviews mean a lot to businesses here so be sure to make one about them. Social media can be a good tool to use to call out crappy business practices, too.
