Ohh that reminds me, I was trying to remember the car pic and I thought the tail lights were busted, also. I know it was a lot of damage so I thought it was more unsafe. Could the entire hatchback piece be replaced/parted out?
My weather app FINALLY updated to a "winter storm warning", lol. Well, duh. Up to 6in of snow. Yeah, it's coming down pretty heavy, still. Had no idea we were going to get this much but makes me feel even better about what I got done, yesterday.
It IS quite beautiful. Which I could post a video on here but it would probably have to be an embedded youtube link and that takes hours to upload (depending on length and size/quality of video).

No I don't think so because the corner/side is pretty crushed in. I am not a car repair person tho, so it could be a possibility with some effort, I just don't think so. What I have been wondering lately is what hit the window and broke it but missed the car? Because the window is closer to the front of the car on that side of the house....yet only the back of the car got damaged. Maybe it was something that blew off the porch. ..the storage container I had on there was knocked into the car so there is a small dent on the passenger rear door.
Yeah, something probably flew/blew into it at just the right angle. Scary to think that it could've been any one of the windows of your house instead of the car.
Here's some more snow pictures for you. :P This is my front yard (vastly different and small next to the backyard) My old car is still parked out there, which I'm going to get rid of by the end of the month if no one buys it for parts and then my newer car is behind it. You can see a big branch on the neighbors yard from the high winds we had the other day, and there's even more, which is what always worried me and caused me to keep mostly full coverage on the previous car even after it was paid off, especially since it has a soft top. No one lives there now but I guess the family still takes care of it? I don't think they would have homeowners insurance, unless it's a requirement.

Oh, I was talking about a house window .... The car was parked next to the house. I have front windows on the porch and side windows where I park my car. Something hit the window furthest from the porch and broke the outer pane (I have double pane windows) but nothing damaged the front or top of the car which was closest to that house window. The back window of the car did also shatter/break out completely but that was from the broken tree that hit the back of the car and the porch...which also cracked one pane of the front house windows on the porch.
Oh my what a lot of snow!!! Sings "Do you want to build a snowman?" Oh the fun I could have in that amount of snow. Til I got too cold and wanted hot cocoa and a fire lol
OH! Damn. Good thing for double panes. Most of my windows aren't doubled, only the big living room window and it's annoying b/c there are water spots in between the windows that I can't clean and it just keeps building up. A lot of that is caused from the gutters getting backed up with pine needles and whirly birds (from the maple tree in the neighbor's yard next to me) and I have to complain to the landlord to clean it out because the water just comes straight down instead of running down the side through the gutter, like it's supposed to.
This snow is the really cool sticky type that makes everything just coated, but that includes wires and of course, trees. Internet has been getting spotty. Oh but the snowfall just turned into BIG flakes and is slowly (but still heavily) falling and I think that's the epitome of a winter scene. Throw in a backdrop of mountains and it would be perfect.

Awww man. I'd love to see that snowfall. My at&t is still out!!! I don't know what's up. I know it's not just me tho because my daughter's friends family is the same they live down the street a ways.
My kitchen window is like that. I may see if I get enough funds to replace it too. I don't think it was damaged in the storm. It's been like that a while. But if I'm getting new windows, why not see what I can do, right? In my car it's condensation that builds up and dirties the window, in the middle. I think the seals deteriorated or something.
Went and put all my laundry away. I went ahead and washed my stuff as I normally do on the weekend even though it wasn't a full weeks since I washed some stuff at Ryan's.
Do you have screens in your windows? I'm trying to picture how that would work. lol
That's crazy your internet is still out. Stupid internet companies are more concerned with making 5G towers and upgrading people to that nonsense and neglecting what the majority of people still use and need... well, the cellular companies are the most to blame.
Ooo it would be really nice if you did get to use funds to replace other windows, too!

No the screens have long since been broken. They go on the outside of the outer pane. I would love to have screens again but just never bothered. I would only open them once in a while anyway.
Ohahahaha why does that say car? It is supposed to say case. In my case my kitchen window has condensation. 😂 No wonder you were confused.
I would like to. It's just one small window vs the bigger ones in the living room. So maybe. Or maybe I can buy it myself and get them to install it when they do the others. I haven't got the estimate yet, on what they'll give me for repairs, so I haven't even looked at who to get to do the work on what. I'm hoping to find one person/group to do the roof siding and windows all at once. Then I'll deal with "personal property" and what of that I want to replace. If we get funds for the fence, Ryan will probably fix that, it really just needs a few panel sections replaced.(it's a wooden privacy fence. Blocks the dogs sight from the neighbors yard)
Edit: I feel like I should be outside doing a bit of cleanup. But it's so muddy. And supposed to rain again soon 😟 It's not supposed to rain tomorrow or Tuesday so I'll try to do a bit then I guess after work.
Hey.
Had a great time Friday night. Some videos and pictures are on Facebook. Got in at 3am and was out the house at 8 to run some errands and then we went to the cinema. Loved Babylon so if you can see it do.
Today we visited all the supermarket and stocked up on American beer ready for the Super Bowl on the 12th. On payday I’ll pay a fortune for American soda and goodies..
Slept most of the day away. It’s nearly 5.30. I must have needed it.
Tomorrow is the day the scaffolding goes. The landscape gardener is coming to look at what we want done and to give us a quote. Then we will get a company to come and install a new shed. The one we have is plastic and is falling apart
Tuesday and Wednesday are painter is here to do the porch, hall and touch up the kitchen..and then Ian says we are done for a while. I know he will be itching to get more solar panels up.
Back to work in the office tomorrow. Must not kill noreen (the girl who sits next to me).
It’s not got above zero. It’s been at minus 4/3 all day. We work in Celsius and not Fahrenheit.
I also have a physio appointment booked in this week. Thank god. Am sure will do wonders for my back she always does.
We also have a tap showcase at blind tiger (my favourite bar in Peterborough) with a brewery called top rope. They name all their beers after wrestling references and wrestlers which is kinda cool.
Know you guys probably don’t care but I don’t really have anyone else to tell 😂
I actually wouldn't mind taking the dog out for a walk but it would be harder than what I expect and would leave me too sore to do the shoveling, which I might do later this afternoon or wait until tomorrow. The snow has changed to smaller flakes at a medium/small density but is still coming down pretty good. I took some pics of the backyard to share the beauty of it hanging out on the trees and bushes that line the creek.

Judging by that bin out back, we've got our 6in so I think the accumulation is done but I made a couple of areas to let me know what accumulates during the day.
Please excuse the obnoxious blue pool that I still haven't cut up, lol. I just know it's going to be a pain in the arse and while I have sharp knives to work with, pool material is no joke.
The chickens are comfy inside their coop (that was constructed by my dad... 7-8yrs ago I think). Need to remove all the plastic I placed on it for those sub zero temps and refresh/clean out the coop and put new bedding in.
Got 4 amulets today and 1 tome. Surprised I even got that.
From Mallarchy pond, got this -
You Win: 4 Carnival Ticket(s)!
Surprise! You also get this old trick or treat item:
[item2=Stolen Garlic]
Is this a book on your WL, Kat? I haven't checked. Then I got this, which I don't understand why is going for so much:
You Win: 5 Carnival Ticket(s)!
Surprise! You also get this old trick or treat item:
[item2=Yellow Chalk Candy]
So, you don't open your windows during spring or autumn?

Not since I don't have screens. Bugs get in. I used to sometimes a lot time ago when we had screens, and it was nice. Wed open the windows all around the house then.
Omg I love it. Soooo much snow!!! Sooo pretty. So very glad I don't have to live in it hahahah. I love looking and playing but couldn't stand to have to walk the dogs, shovel it or wade thru it to get to my car.
Yes that book is on my wishlist.
we do care. I like to hear what is going on for other people. I can only hope they feel the same when I feel I am over sharing lol Brrr y'all have both got to be so cold. Freezing temps. It is 45*ish F here so cold enough for me. Beer named after wrestlers? Nice twist. And no, don't kill Noreen, we want our luce to be able to get online with us lol not be in jail for murder.
Loving the snow pictures. I wish we had snow. I’m in the flattest part of the uk and it snows it’s very rare we get it as by the time it reaches the ground it’s rain. I think we had had ‘proper’ snow once in the last fifteen years. Granted we get a light dusting and that’s it.
Believe it if not. WWE have been in talks with the brewery about them using wrestlers names on their beers. You wouldn’t have thought they would have been interested in a uk brewery.
Nice going on the amulets Taarna. I’ve only started turning them into the mage as I’ve decided that this year I will focus on training Alibozimi and improve their battle set.
I’ll try not to kill Noreen. I’ll just make sure my AirPods are charged so I can drown her out 😂
I love hearing about what's going on with you and what you and Ian are getting into! I have no idea how you were up and out of the house at 8am after getting home at 3am, though. Also another reason why I'm a day drinker - rather get my buzz in, food done and in bed by 9. 😂 I still wouldn't be out by 8am unless I absolutely had to be - like to get coffee b/c I either forgot to pick some up or was out of my french vanilla creamer.
I hope you're getting a craft beer and not one of the MANY cheap crap beers that America makes. I stopped drinking beer (mostly) a couple years ago but even when I did drink, I wasn't one to try out craft beers like some of my beer snob acquaintances were. I actually liked foreign beers better but they were pricier. Those beers to them were like Bud Light is to us - bottom shelf. I drink vodka, lime and club soda, now. If I have the money then I get a pack of carbonated mineral water, like Pelligrino.
Sounds like your temps are matching ours, which are in the low 30's in Fahrenheit. (I think most of us know you always refer to things in metric ;) ) I've been consciously trying to do both our standard and metric with measurements but it's never precise b/c they don't equate to an even number. Kilometers is closer to an even number to our miles than other measurements. :P
Never expected to see you guys were a fan of American football. I like watching the Superbowl on occasion and used to watch a lot of games w/ my dad or others that weren't so moronic about it (obsessed fans) but after my dad passed, I've realized that I haven't watched any of it, any more. Used to watch NASCAR with him, too.
Wish I got that much relief from a physio. Another reason why I'd rather look up how to do it on my own than pay for it.
Kat... after so many years of living and driving through it, I don't really mind the snow and welcome it, actually. It's not uncommon to go a winter without more than a dusting so imo, it's a welcome sight and the only annoyance is the shoveling my car out and idiots in trucks and SUV's that think they can do anything in any weather. It's the damp, extremely dreary days that I hate in my state. The majority of winter is cloudy, to say the least.

My arm was hurting today. I should do the stretches I looked up. I did take my pain pill and that has helped. I think using it to clean up the mess has helped too, but also made it sore lol
Oohh insurance adjuster just texted said he will soon be e-mailing out the estimate and setting up some payments for direct deposit and then doing the check for the house repairs too! Woot! Just wonder how long it'll be to find someone to do the work and get it done. Everyone around here will be insanely busy I'm sure....
I don't mind watching football. I'm not super in to it. I do tend to find a player or two that just makes me like watching them lol Clay Matthews (used to be) and Aaron Rogers on the Green Bay Packers, Patrick Mahomes....wasnt he Chiefs? Not sure but I loved watching him But if I had to say a favorite team, I'd say the 49ers ... And I have no idea why. I don't even know any of thier players. Or watch them play lol. I also remember the Chicago Bears....when I was a kid they did this video, MTV maybe? I loooooved it!!!! We are the Bears! I remember the Refrigerator lol no clue what his real name was.
I do like watching the Superbowl. Mostly because of the commercials but also because the game can get so intense and interesting.
Sting still wrestles with AEW. Who in my opinion are way better than WWE. Rey still wrestles with WWE.
Yes it’s craft beer.. we will be drinking from noon till 3/4am when it usually finishes. Ian’s a niner and I’m a browns fan. We will go to our bottle shop before the Super Bowl and get some more hard to get American beers, they vary between £7 to £10 per bottle. But it’ll be worth it. We have plans the day afterwards.. so will be out the house by 9/10 am.
We hate bud thankfully we don’t get many varieties of bud here.
Your right Patrick Mahomes is a chief.
We don’t get any of the us commercials over here. So I always have to YouTube them
That's funny, . Browns are such a point of contention where I am in the southern part of the state b/c down here, it's all about the Bengals and Browns fans need to step back. The biggest thing I hate are die hard fans and Bengals fans are some of the worst I've encountered.... mostly b/c I live here. Haven't liked the f'n BenGALS since I was in grade school...
I liked and still do like the Packers b/c they had some interesting people on their team about 15yrs ago and I loved how Bengals fans hated them so I would go to a bar (with a male friend, of course) that was playing those games and wear Packer colors just to get a rise out of people. :P
I became a Patriots fans ohhh probably like 20yrs ago. I really like how professionally they play and it's so different to watch them and then watch college football, where they still seem like they're figuring out their niche. Before that I leaned towards Cowboys, for no particular reason but I think it was b/c I liked how they played back then before my oldest daughter was born.
Omg Kat, I used to watch those old WWF shows, too. Randy Rowdy Piper, The Bushwackers (hilarious), HH and all them was SUCH great entertainment! (Was that the 80's?) I agree that later on, everything was just so fake, forced and generic. All the good stuff had already been done and the original characters had taken with them what it meant to be in that arena - character! Although I've seen some clips of women's stuff and that's been kind of funny and fun to watch, it doesn't really appeal to me the way the originals did.
Bud Light is like horse piss, but from a racing horse. There are worse beers that are from mules, I think. :P
