I found supercash on my desk, so it was only like $18, which wasn't too bad! AND it has ADJUSTABLE STRAPS which no bathing suit I've ever had has, and it's SO great! Normally every time I swim my straps fall down and it's so annoying.
Bathing suit... I realized that I need one, too.
There are lilacs on either side of my house and I love them when they bloom! The smell is just so incredible. When my Easter lilies bloom, they are as strong as the lilacs. It's quite intoxicating.
Got most of my grass done yesterday evening. I still have more transplanting to do but I feel worn out. It's the last nice weather day before it gets hot and humid again so I just gotta suck it up and finish what I started.

Outside stuff is usually weekend work here. We will have to cut our grass for sure!
Found a dead frog in my kitchen. Now wondering if it got in by itself somehow......or if a kitty cat brought a gift. It's not torn up or bloody.....I just don't know! Usually my "gifts" from my cats are pieces or bloody. Yuck.
We're supposed to get some rain and storms this weekend so I can't wait. I usually don't wait until then b/c I want my off days to include very little if any, work. :P
Dead frog. Yuck. Good thing it wasn't bloody. I don't let my kitties outside unless it's out on the porch with me... too dangerous. My daughter's cat still runs out on occasion, and I used to have a gorgeous black polydactyl kitty that would do the same and bring me back gifts but one day he didn't return and it absolutely broke my heart.

Yeah...I've lost a few kitties and even a dog or two. But these cats insist. So I gave in. The mama was a wild kitten to begin with, who adopted us. So her son just followed in her outdoorsy footsteps. They are 8 and 9 yrs old so I've been quite lucky. They know where the food is 😝 but they also love hunting.
lol aww. I wish I could afford to build like an outside type of pen for them. I know they love being outside and I don't blame them.

Fridges cleaned, all the kids are packed now.. and D and A snapchatted me a video of them packing their bags so I could really make sure they had everything LOL.
Lawn mowed, Iz is in the bath, my laundry is just about done.. time to go finish packing for Alex and I.. and then we're finally just about ready! :P
Morning! I slept so good yesterday/last night. I was incredibly worn out so I dozed off a couple hours after work and didn't get back up until 4 this morning, lol. Went to the bathroom and laid down for a little bit, even dozed off for about half an hour more until my alarm went off. I'm thinking it was a good 11hrs.
Where are you going, Mieke? I probably missed it in one of the posts.
Kat, that is some dedication to questing, lol.

Morning Taarna! That sounds like a great sleep, you must have needed it!
Just to Williamsburg, but a day at the beach sounds soooo good.. and Duck Donuts, ofc! That's what the kids keep talking about haha.
Oh yesss! Beach day! I'll pass on the donuts, tho. :P

Ahh the other girls are going. I wondered. It just wouldn't be right without them. 😉
Well it's so much easier on the tablet. And I have nothing else to do in the mornings, that is my me time during the summertime weekdays. Hubby at work and kids asleep til after 9 most of the time!!
A good long sleep and a vacation day at the beach sounds great to me. Wish I could do either! Or both! Donuts are good to me. I like Dunkin better than Krispy Kreme. Never heard of duck donuts. (Or was that a typo?)
Oh man, they're so good though!
OK so they're just plain vanilla cake donuts.. but they make them fresh for each order. And then you choose what goes on them. There's delicious glazes the fruit ones are made with real fruit! and then toppings, then drizzles. They're literally the best donuts ever.
I LOVE the beach.. but I think Virginia Beach is my least favorite I've been to... and I've been to a lot. :P It doesn't even SMELL like the beach! But it'll still be fun, I think!
And I know we're going to the aquarium one day.. or the liquid zoo, as my 13 year old calls it. Which is ALSO one of my favorite things!
And honestly I don't know what we'll do the rest of the week. Normally we stay at a different place, and it has minigolf, activities, etc.. I don't think this one does, so we may have to find some more to do :P
We've done Colonial Williamsburg twice, and I think we're all kind of over it now. :P But I'm glad that the kids got to do it. It's good, but not like.. a MUST have. :/
The only issue is, everything is expensive with 4 teenagers. The 7 year old isn't so bad :P
The liquid zoo... I love it!
I've only been to one beach and that was N. Myrtle Beach. Dirty water that I imagine is similar to what Virginia Beach is like. One of these days I'll get down to FL.
I'm not a big sweets person but that does sound pretty good for donuts.
A nice quiet time to zone out on quests sounds very peaceful. :P I love mornings, especially when I'm well rested.

That sounds nice Kat!
Actually.. I'm doing that right now :P Just finished Pete (working my way up, as usual). No one will be awake for at least half an hour.
I do like the quiet time :P
My favorite beach is Hunting Island.. you can camp right on the beach, and it's just gorgeous. Then there's a whole bunch of small beaches out in California. I actually really liked Daytona Beach, it just feels so open and beachy still. And it's really cool to just drive out onto it!
Ocean City, MD was fine, better than VA beach (maybe because we stayed at a hotel right there and didn't have to drive an hour?) but VA beach.. I don't know. It doesn't smell like the beach, it's SO commercialized, super packed with people, the parking sitch sucks.. I don't love it. :P
Liquid zoo!! Love it! Ohh that sounds like a great donut place! I'd be excited to go there too. I hear you on the expensive teen part! Can't go anywhere it feels like. He is 14 not an adult but boy they charge you for an adult!!
At 10 I went to the beach in Washington state or maybe Oregon (we lived in Washington state 1 yr). And the beach was very rocky and not what I expected lol. We lived in Long Beach California once. It was nice. Bit of a drive to the beach and I mostly remember the waves being huge and knocking me down. I was a very little 12yr old lol. At 15 we moved to Florida. My mom still lives on Amelia Island. 2 minute drive to the beach. Main beach is very crowded/commercially, but still enjoyable. I like going more out of the way beaches when I visit (which is rarely). Loved main beach as a teen tho!
Yesssss, they're all adults! Like.. they don't all act or eat like adults!
I do like at Corning Museum of Glass, everyone under 18 is free. Like.. I love that. It's great. I feel like stuff like museums and aquariums and zoos... teenagers are still kids!
There should be a separate category of pricing for pre to teenagers. :P Maybe 12-17 range. Adult pricing for them just doesn't seem right.
