Yesterday was fun, though! I don't know how we spent 6 hours in three stores, but.. it is what it is, i guess! At one point, my MiL called and my SiL goes "hi mom!" and she was like "What are you two up to?" And SiL goes "Well, we just bought matching bras and now we're looking to see if we can find the panties" and my MiL was just like ".... you guys are too close." insert crying laughing emoji here
I was buying my brother some groceries, and... ended up going over board. We stopped at the dollar tree so I could make him up a stocking.. which ended up being like.. three bags worth of stuff by the time I was done. Whoops. And I got him some other stuff he really likes but didn't ask for, and wrapped that in tissue paper and gift bags out of my overly full trunk while Rachel went into pick up our lunch. And I got him new pajamas, and some nacho chips and queso and olives, and put them in a bag with a tag that said to open on Christmas Eve.
And I ended up getting him some premade scalloped potatoes from Sams (they actually looked like.. really good?!) and some ham steaks and a turkey leg and some frozen rolls and a cake for him to have on Christmas day. And it turns out that one of his roomates IS going to be there on Christmas afterall, and they both cried when they say the Christmas meal stuff so.. there's that? Oh, and I got him a charcuterie board thing with olives and pickles included! and told him not to eat it before Friday or Saturday because IT IS A SPECIAL OCCASSION and you need special occasion food.
And Rachel and I were carrying piles of gift bags and groceries and everything else up to the porch and I was looking at them like.... "I.. I really don't know what happened here". WHOOPS.
It's fine. It's all good. ALL GOOD.
Tonight we're taking the girls to go see Spiderman, I'm kind of super pumped! AND tickets are only $5 on Tuesdays, AND popcorn is half price! You can't beat that!
Aww sounds like you are helping your brother (and roommate) to have a great christmas!! You are the best sister! And I love you are that close to your sister in law! ☺ And movies again, lucky kids! Lol we watch movies at home unless it's a special occasion (birthday or highly anticipated/loved movie series).
We watched Home Alone last night. And finished watching Smokey Mountain Christmas after. Nathan wants to save the Santa Clause movies for christmas eve (since we only partially watched them at the inlaws we will watch them again at home!) Hubby jokingly said we need to watch Die Hard.....so we probably will lol
In subeta news, I have fought the lagmonster bopper with all 18 pets. (10x each for the xp). Dunno why I started with that one? Lol guess I should do sql and lizard too, they are easier...but less xp to earn.... I did the new shinwa bopper with my battle pet...got to 10 and called it done with her too.
Yeah, we only normally go for big ones, but they got lucky with Encanto :P
That sounds fun, Kat! Everytime we watch Home Alone, the girls are like "Dude.. you'd be leaving us home too.. but not panicking about it." Kevins awful child tbh :P
Hahaha yea I dont worry about leaving my kids at home. But they are older. And to be fair the only time I went to a foreign country, they went to grammas so I knew they were safe! Lol And to be fair, Kevin was the youngest and only 8.... yes he is a brat but that's not all his fault! At least he learned he really did want his family around 😉
I think they first time they mentioned it, Lily was like 5 or something :P

Whew I've been busy this morning. Basically spent most of it going through WL's and gifting trees while waiting for them to switch over to the winter items in the MC and quest shop, which is taking forEVER.
Mieke that's so funny about the shopping. I love Dollar Tree!! I've rarely left out of there without spending more than $10, and that's the little one that's closest to me. I like to go to another one that has a lot more stuff in stock but it's out of the way of everywhere else I usually have to go. I would be a little achy if I were walking around for 6hrs, though. >.<
I want to see the new Spiderman so bad!! At least the new season of the Witcher was released so I got to power through that. New Matrix is out, which I also want to see. We might go and see Spiderman on Christmas Eve (me and my guy).
Need to clean, as usual. I'm just SO COLD! I hate turning up the heat b/c of the bills and I hate walking around like a big puffball in lots of clothes when I'm indoors. Need to get the candles going, at least for the living room which is the coldest room in the house.

Instead of just moving the boxes.. I messaged a friend on facebook who decorates for everything. Her husband is coming to get the stuff tomorrow! Even better win LOL
Ugh, the heat! After telling Alex for a week and a half I didn't think the heat was working here, he finally listened to me last night. The fix is easy, needs a new solenoid.. except that it's 50some years old like the rest of the furnace and house and the company went out of business awhile ago. So... that'll be fun. :P At least the rest of the house is warm?
Oh, you don't want your Halloween decorations anymore?! I admit sometimes you just end up with too much or things you dont use anymore. Better to give them to someone who will.....

My ac/heater is good thank goodness! And I have a space heater/fake fireplace unit too. Hubby likes it colder than me tho, so I'm usually wearing fuzzy socks and wrapped ina blanket when just sitting around.

Well hey Ms Clicky... if you feel up to it, I have a couple hundred I just found in my vault if you want me to throw them and trades and you offer on them.
I stopped getting glass ornaments after so many kept getting broken. Now they're just all plastic and I can throw them in whatever container I'm using when I take down the tree... in Spring. LOL just kidding.
The ventilation is what sucks at my house. The vents that are furthest away from the heater put out so little so the kitchen is cold, which is fine b/c I hate hot kitchens when I'm cooking but the living room has one of those vents and both the side door and front door have poor insulation... hell, my whole house has shitty insulation.
I decorate for Autumn/Halloween, Christmas/Winter Solstice, sometimes Lunar New Year and last year I made my first Valentines tree.
Except for the tree itself, it's all Dollar Tree stuff. It's so nice to have some lights up after Christmas during the coldest part of the year.

Ohh thats pretty! Not all my ornaments are breakable, but some are. I have all sorts. Glass, ceramic, clay, paper, etc. This year it's all homemade/special bought style on the tree.
Ok, let me work on putting the fairies in trades and you can just do a search by my UN to find them all and don't worry about offering anything for them. I know I don't feel like releasing all those by myself which is why they were sitting in my vault all this time, lol.
Wish I would've gotten the kids into handmade stuff when they were little. I guess I never really thought of it.

Well most of them weren't made by me with them...lol I think I've done more making together recently than when they were young. In 2019 we made trucks. Foam peices that are sticky on one side and you stick it together your own personal way. This year we did foam elves lol. It was teachers, church groups, neighbors even did a few one time (the ones that lived next door, babysat a bit, and we're like another set of grandparents.) But they're all special 😊 One thing I did do when they were young is print out coloring pages, and let them color then laminate the pictures and tape to the windows. We did that for all holidays. It is fun looking back to see how much better they got at coloring thru the years lol
