There's copypasta's and other pasta's but the "pasta" part is just "paste". Ctl+C and Ctl+V. They're called NoSleep stories on Reddit, but now I mostly listen to them rather than read them.

That's what I never got about teaching, or teachers in general. How in the hell could they put up w/ as many brats as I started seeing over the years while my girls were in school. (yeah I'm not going to be PC here b/c this is exactly what my oldest daughter is allowing w/ her youngest son and even though he's my grandson, he's a brat and he just gets babied like I'm sure those other kids do) Some parents do everything they can to discipline and raise their kids right and they just go the opposite direction... honestly, that's what my oldest did but I believe my mother is the cause of that b/c she's psychotic.... and then other parents do the bare minimum and expect others to take care of their kids.

[edit] I'm still hitting up the DC. Yesterday I found a 4ml food item. There are lots of foods that I haven't given to my gourmand so I've been feeding him and throwing the rest in a couple shops b/c they're all 25k plus items. Lots of old Morostide items that are still asked for. Some days ago I snagged 2 forum tickets, so I was happy to make up for what I hadn't received.

I've been stuffing kayano too. But I've been hunting new year tokens and vesnali flowers in the dc when I rememeber....

[Edit] Two and a half weeks in. Still crazy in preK. One child's grandmother now has permission to randomly drop in and check on her child's behaviour. To be fair he is much better behaved with her there and reminders that she is dropping in and how does she want him to behave has helped....except when the other one is going super crazy. She is a very sweet lady and bought all the kids who didn't have ice cream an ice cream yesterday. Yay for sugar highs. It was sweet tho. We also have yet to have a full class of 22 at school at the same time. We have had at least 2 absent ever day so far! Sometimes it's up to 4-5 kids absent. And it's still that insane. I can't imagine what it'll be like with all 22. We had 1 withdraw and a new child placed in, whose whole family is currently sick so he is not coming yet. Oh yes did I mention we get another boy. Yep. So now have 13 boys and 9 girls. Argh. Hope this new boy is sweet.

Sadly nowadays that kind of behavior is allowed. It is so unfair to the students who DO behave and are there to learn. I believe that if more parents spoke up then things would change. But unfortunately the teacher is the one who is blamed for the the child's behavior.

That's one of the reasons I say thanks for those parents who do raise (or try to) their kids right and teach them what they need to ....instead of it needing to be me or other teachers.

I only refresh the DC as often as I can, every 5min (I wish, lol). Looking forward to the free shop as I'm burnt out on the DC. I need to keep hitting it up just to get fragging fodder.

I've been pretty lazy about doing quests. Just kind of hitting a wall in real life and not wanting to do a whole lot. Got things to do this week so after Thursday, I'll be checking in via my cell. (I don't pay for service on my tablet since I'm already paying for service/phone for my younger brother and it's expensive enough.) Get to drive my daughter's new car after dropping her off at the airport on Thursday, heheheh. Wish mine could get fixed.

Well they accepted my 25yr old classes, which were English, math and Political science. So I enrolled for econ and psyc. Eeek.

Orientation for psyc at 6pm. Haven't heard from econ yet. Probably should recheck new email 🤪

I've been so exhausted I'm lucky if I get half my quests done. I've done them all a few times only since school started. Can't wait for free shop either....tho I wish it had been earlier in the summer. Tons of stuff but yes, sems like most of what's left almost isn't with it in the dc....tho I am still grabbing a few things ever day.

I refresh the DC page until I see something that I want. Then of course I have to wait after I have selected something. No energy to do quests.

I am so very confused right now. But I know as I go along I will become accustomed to the online workings. Just as I did last year for my virtual preK. But ugh. I hate learning how to operate new programs.

And I have to go buy my books. One is $95+ 😯really?!?! Dunno what the other one costs yet.....

[Edit] Other book cost $145 USED!! And it's just a 3ring binder paper set!!! What!!! How rediculous! And it is putting me to sleep. I was able to read 1 chapter of psyc book in 2 nights without feeling sleepy. Barely read 1 chapter of econ tonight and I kept dozing off!! Lol

Also in college news....I have read 2 chapters and taken a quiz in econ. Got 20/25 correct. Have read the psyc chapter but am going to read it again before doing "homework" 1 & 2 ... Then a quiz for that.

I have been feeling crummy all week. Had a Dr. appointment today. Sent me for a Covid test. 😔 I will find out the results tomorrow.

Homework for psyc done. Working on the study guide. Then will do the quiz when I finish that. Study guide isn't required but is helpful! All 6 homework questions I got correct. 28/30 study guide questions correct. Wonder what tomorrow's study guide will be like. (It only allows you to do a small bit at a time!)

And I'm mostly telling you guys this because I'm proud of myself and I have nothing else to talk about 😂

Today was much calmer. Still had some "new to school" "4yrs old" issues. But waaay better.

Did more study guide. Did ok. Missed a few more questions but then did the extra credit quiz and got 6/8. So that's good. 67% done with study guide so maybe Wed or Thurs I'll take the quiz lol

Also working on extra credit for econ. No clue if I'll need extra credit in either class but if I can do some, it can't hurt anything!!! Dislike the extra credit in econ tho. Discussion writing. Ugh. I'd rather do quiz lol

Negative for Covid. Phew! Still not feeling good at all but am feeling better than I was yesterday. knock on wood Thank goodness for antibiotics. I still sound like a barking seal when I cough. Taking tomorrow off as well.

Yay for negativity! We had a lady sick last year not sure with what but a cough that wouldn't stop. She sounded so bad, and she was on meds too....poor lady. I feel for you. I hate coughing.

Our school decided to close Friday and give us all a four day weekend for labor day. Yay for TWO 4 day school weeks in a row!! A nice little break.

Got new insurance quotes for both my daughter and I and they just suck. Pretty bummed about them and it doesn't help that my brother has basically ghosted me. Getting a new car just isn't in my budget right now so the struggle is eating me up, mentally.

Far be it from me to try and intervene with anything but I would like to give some advice - take natural supplements. I've been taking spirulina for years now - not everyday and there are sometimes when months go by and I don't order another bottle but I swear to this stuff. (Chlorella, as well.) Although it would've worked better at the very onset of your symptoms, take about 4-5 Vitamin C tablets. You could probably take more but your body will let you know when you've had too much in the way of.. the bathroom, lol. It might help you get rid of the symptoms of your cold sooner but earlier, it would've prevented it becoming full blown. My youngest (21) got a similar cold early this summer (who the hell knows, possibly covid since she works w/ everyone in the hospital) and I had her taking no less than 3 tablets a day. She was stuffy and coughing for 2 days and then by the 3rd, it had improved exponentially and took about a week to fully go away, although she wasn't dosing that much after the first 3 days. (Hates the taste of those chew tabs)

We also have a 3 day weekend and I took Friday off for good measure. :D I'm going to need it to get caught up on all the things I need to do around the house to prepare for Autumn. One is getting a room and light setup ready to try and do some winter growing. (been working on this for a couple years now since I don't know the depth of UV that high sun plants need and that comes from lights only)

I haven't really been playing much, aside from logging in to do my dailies.. most of the time, anyway. My bathhouse streak isn't working too well, either :P

Elly had a panic attack in her math class the second day of school, because they had to move extra desks in to mhave enough space.. and then the kid sitting behind her was just coughing and hacking the entire class, for two days.

The math teacher made him go down to the nurse, but she said there was nothing she could do because of the anti-mandates, she couldn't send him home and couldn't ask him to wear a mask.

Apparently two other teachers ALSO sent him to the nurses office and complained. So.. yeah. She didn't have a very great start to the school year. And Isabelles seatmate on the bus is already virtual for two weeks because a kid in his classroom tested positive and they sat next to each other. So. All in all.. great.

Things. Are. Great.

On the upside! Lily had her first away football game last week (they didn't do them last year), and she's really excited for her first home game of the year on Friday... if we get past all the flooding that's about to occur. She also had her first student council meeting yesterday morning. Elly's thrilled that she has two AP classes this year, which would give me a heart attack, honestly.

Daizya turned 17 on Sunday and started her senior year.

And Lilys and Akiras 4H projects actually made it TO the fair, so.. we'll see what happens there!

Sounds like a tough time, Mieke. Hopefully the long weekend will be a welcome relief before going back for everyone.

The most days I've gotten out of the bathhouse was 99. I couldn't believe I messed that up before reaching 100! Talk about irritating, lol.

😑 well hopefully it was just allergies or something. We've got one kid like that but mom filed paperwork with the nurse for allergies and medication if needed.

We quarantined 6 kids yesterday. So yeah. Between that and regular illness we have had less than half the class this week!!

I'm so wondering when my county will decide to shut it all down like they need to. This class by class/school by school is crap.

[Edit] Good grief.😒 I may not be able to use the study guide on psyc class if it takes this long to go thru it every time. It's an online preprogrammed paced thing so I can't just run thru it, it stops me and says come back tomorrow....ugh. 4 days and I'm only 80% done. After this week I only get 1 week for each psyc chapter. This time I got 2 weeks due to it being the beginning of term.

EDIT again (Sept 2, 540pm) 5 days in and I am at 91% of the study guide. Meh. Gonna take the quiz tomorrow regardless of if I finish the study guide I think.
