it's more the logistics of how to get him there, while still making sure someone's staying with Gran for that time (especially as we don't know how long the appointment is actually likely to take!).... I think the current plan is for Dad to drive Grandad and a family friend (who actually used to be a doctor) for the scan appointment, and Mum's staying with Gran. The results of his scan take a couple of weeks to come through, but thankfully they do that as a telephone appointment now, rather than making him go back to the hospital to talk it over!

I don't know that she'd be any more accurate in diving for the fish than she's been in trying to use a fishing rod to catch them ;) I think she'd be better just letting the cats try catching them! ;)

That sounds like a good plan. If the friend is a doctor, they would know which questions to ask and understand everything that is being said I would think too for the appointment. :) That is good then, that he wont have to go back just to get the results. :D

irritatingly, Mum thought that friend had made sure he would be available all day, but it turns out he's got a prior engagement arranged for that day, so he can't go (we can't check back to what that friend said on email, as when Mum's computer had memory problems, it ate all the emails in her inbox and I can't restore them facepalm) :K Mum's not too keen at going with Grandad herself (it's a "man's problem" so to speak, so she feels awkward when there's any conversation about it!), but he's going to need someone with him and there's nobody else we can think of asking!
