nods I've tried really small patterns before, and they're so ridiculously fiddly I don't enjoy making them 😊 but I'm hoping the smaller frogs will still go pretty smoothly, as they're only listed as a 3/10 difficulty (and that's only because there's curved seams)

It's strange how certain months can seem so ridiculously busy with celebrations / needing to get presents sorted! o.O hehe that's very true (and is also why the next lot of fabric I've got coming will have two different sized bears made from it 😇) Only if I have a plan for someone to give the really GIANT one to - I'm going to run out of desk space for the 4 frogs and that's before I've made the Manta ray :P

3/10 does not sound too intimidating at least. :) It is always nice when they tell you how advanced a pattern is. :) They often don't with knit or crochet.

nods admittedly most of the sewing patterns I have, don't tend to give any idea of how complex they are.... I guess some people find particular things challenging that others find easy, so in a way the difficulty rating can be a bit irrelevant :P but I do prefer a rough guide at least! ;)

I am not too familiar with sewing patterns for obvious reasons, but what you said makes sense. :) It also depends on how good the writer is at explaining what you need to do. Some just makes me scratch my head. :P

nods I've got some patterns where they over explain things, so what you'd think would take one step actually takes 4. Oddly enough I found that makes it harder to follow :P but with some of the knitting patterns I'd used before, they seem to just assume you know what they mean rather than explaining any of it :K

And I've got the other large frog sewn :D So that's just the two small ones and the ray to go :D :D Hopefully tomorrow I might be able to get the small one started at least (I've still got the zigzag around the eyes on the second small one, and that feels like it takes an eternity 😊)

I find that american patterns explains things more, and write everything, while the patterns norwegian designers make doesn't. What people prefer varies though. What I do not like are those crochet diagrams.. those give me a small headache. lol

I found some yarn at Michaels that I thought would make for a good item to sell. So I bought 2 of them with a 25% off coupon. I added some felt to it too. So 2 balls of yarns, 4 felt pieces and only $3.46 into it, should get me two projects--gonna make monster purses.
