I'm just patiently waiting for them to fix things so I can get this repeat virus off. I should've started with a vial /sigh

I got my last vial virus last year. I used them over the years to squeeze in one more infection.

If they let me keep the one I'm currently working on, I'll need 16 plus the 4 new ones this year. Of the 16 old ones there aren't any I'm eager to get. There are 5 that I'd get just to have them, 3 I'll never, ever get, and 8 that I just don't really care one way or the other. It feels kinda weird not to really care. Hopefully I'll be more excited about the new ones once we find out what they look like.

I'm progressing through a vial infection now, but it's not one I'm particularly enamored of. I just didn't want to 'waste' the time.

Whelp...I apparently have all the vials already anyhow too lol.

I admit feeling extremely grateful that the Hustler was so kind as to give me the single strain I was missing from 2021.

Wish they would stop futzing with whatever bug is causing the 2022 viruses to glitch out and at least get the infection center up and running for old viruses. I'm willing to bet that would keep most people content. Then, of course, get back to fixing 2022, but without as big a time crunch/tension.

I'm still a little resentful haha. Like, why couldn't it have given me one of the ones I didn't have :( From my understanding, unfortunately all of them were broken if you tried to pick a virus. Some folks got lucky and got the one they were after or one they at least didn't have, but it looks like it pretty much wouldn't let you select any of them at all by choice.

ah, I missed that somehow. I only ever heard about people having trouble picking the new ones.

I was doing some biting on the first day for old viruses, so I thought people were able to pick them. I guess they must have chosen random, then come in to ask for specific bites.

Maybe it wasn't consistent but I did see some folks saying they'd tried to go for one of the older ones but gotten the wrong one.

To keep y'all updated - I was in a car accident Friday night. It was not my fault but my boyfriend and I are banged up. My car is a total loss. I'm working with my insurance already at least and they're very helpful so far.

Oh, my goodness. I'm really REALLY sorry to hear that. My car was totalled by a drunk driver in 2020, and I remember what that was like going through the aftermath. I'm glad the insurance company is being supportive, but if there's anything we can do, let us know.

Thank you. I'm lucky my insurance is being cool. I don't think the driver who hit me was drunk but I do think she was probably.on her phone. No way she hit us as fast and hard as she did if she was looking at the road at all. Hopefully everything works out.

Thank you, I'm trying to take it easy. So far the process has been smooth-ish. Going to get a rental today but I'm still not able to go in to work yet.

: I can do them -- I was hoping to get a cleaner set of images than the ones in the Survival FAQ, but these new strains change fast enough that I've missed a few images while I was at work, so the set I was collecting privately is incomplete. Do you know where a 'nice' set is?

After I looked at those images, thinking they wouldn't match and might confuse people as to what was 'virus' and what was just different wardrobe options, I looked around a bit. I didn't find any alternatives.

Yeah. This is something Georgie was good at keeping on top of, but then again, she didn't work outside the home for the last several years of her life, so she could stay around and monitor for changes in the skins. I'll cobble something together, but I don't think we'll get very good images this time around. :(

Yeah, between what Osterizer saved himself and the images from that thread we'll get something. However we animate the process and for best results we want the base HA image to be all the same color and by preferences no kisses to interfere. This is to make sure the virus progression is clear through the stages, so when people are looking at small details, especially in the early stages, they know they've been infected and what stage they're at.
