- Hi everyone. I wish I was pinging you under better circumstances. I've come to the decision that I need to take a hiatus from Subeta. With how things have been handled recently from staff, I just can't take the added stress that this site is throwing at me when it's supposed to be a place I come to relax. This means that I won't be able to do anything for SubetaLodge, but I honestly haven't done a whole lot lately anyway. I'm waiting for the site to stabilize enough to get my last few CWs on site so I don't have them hanging over me and then I'll be taking some time off. I would love to come back when things here don't make me want to throw my computer out of a window or punch Keith in the face. If anyone's on Discord, let me know when that day rolls around!

For all our sakes I hope the situation here improves enough for you to come back soon. We all come here for fun and stress relief, and if the site doesn't provide that, even makes it worse, then it make sense to take a break.

I'm still finding little bits of happiness in the site, here and there, so I haven't quite reached the point of wanting to take a break, though there are days, happening more frequently, that I just check in and do a minimum. Some days the frustration is just too real.

: I understand where you've been coming from. I've been wanting to punch Keith for seven years running now, and things this year have gotten especially bad.

But your well-being means a lot to me (and the rest of the SL staff), and we all wish you the best. We'll keep a light on for you if and when you decide to return.

Sad discovery - emojis/special characters in descriptions were accepted way earlier than we realized haha. Someone sent me an item not in SL that was 6k items ago lol. I am working forward from the page before that one in the cw directory to check for more (I've so far found one other) but there's like 180 pages to go through lol. And I don't know if there are ones older than that that got skipped over before the fixes.

I started at page 195 I believe and am working towards page 1. I'm currently trying to load page 185 but the directory is hung up even after refresh so I'll have to try again another day.

: Yikes. That sucks. I'm guessing that most of these will be CWs, because other items get announced through the News page, and so we know what's getting uploaded instead of just a batch of items showing up.

After tomorrow, I've got a light few days ahead of me at work (yay!), and I can write up a script to check for CWs that are in Subeta's database and not ours.

P.S. Updating your avatar on SubetaLodge should work again -- at least from Chrome. I haven't tested it on Firefox yet.

That whole item is gone from the site based on the item ID...yikes. I've sent a comment to Jessi since we can't grab anything that doesn't exist on site but it appears this item no longer does for whatever reason. Hopefully she can let us know if a site glitch ate it or if it was removed.

- I've checked all the CWs from 235571-237421 tonight, and the only glitched item I found was the one Lypsyl found. I'll keep working back after I get home from classes tomorrow.

[edit] Done. Found three CWs that were on Subeta but not SubetaLodge (they were older items with emojis in their descriptions). We still have the Pumpkin Brella Heels in SubetaLodge -- I can take it out if we decide to do that, but I'm waiting to see if Jessi gets back to Reaper. Except for that item, our CWs are back in synch.

Sorry! It was a long week at work and I was going to try to hop on today to help do it but I did not make it haha. Thank you for finishing it out. I figured it had to be emoji descriptions but I couldn't find a faster way to sort through them.

As for the brella heels, I haven't heard back yet. I may need to make a ticket.

I'm still waiting on an answer as to what happened to those shoes, but at this point I'd say we can probably get rid of them as they don't exist anywhere on site. Jessi didn't know and thought it was a duplicate but I let her know it wasn't. We don't know what happened there at all.

On a slightly related note...I forgot all about the Layer Changes thread for CWs. I'm mostly done going through and updating all of the items Jessi has fixed so far but I need to try to remember to do that as they happen from now on lol. Our script doesn't grab layer changes made after the face unfortunately.

Confirmation from the releaser on those Pumpkin Brella Heels that thy were deleted. They were accepted accidentally because apparently there was an issue with the artist on them and the releaser was contacted after about that and told they'd have to be deleted from the site. So we can for sure delete them.

thanks! It took a bit of time but was no problem :). I learned and organized from past events - I used to just enter everything at once, but this time I did every section separately (floaters, bonfire, charity, fantine) and it went so much smoother. Also, it was easy because the breakdown of where items came from was very clear.

Really, the only slightly confusing bit was the achievement prizes because of repeat prizes - they've never done that before, but I really like it.

Hope you worked out your thanksgiving issues. Our thanksgiving is in October, and I don't usually celebrate it unless invited somewhere, so I've never had to deal with planning, cooking (at least more than a single dish for a potluck) or other associated things.
