That is def. an idea! Summerbreak here is from about mid June to mid August. So kids would have to get back in July. :) I am certainly glad I am not a teacher, that is a lot of responsibility!

Sounds much the same as our weather, yet again. lol Its nice and warm if you are in the sun and are able to stay away from the wind chill. :)

I guess they haven't done that because people are still expecting (or hoping!) to go on vacation in July / August.... although I'm not sure I can see that being able to happen, even if they wanted to stay in this country!

Mum said it was warm enough to sit in the garden and read a book earlier, although she still felt the breeze was coming from the wrong direction :P If you work it right, the house blocks the wind laughs I still find it strange that your weather is almost the same as ours! ;)

They are telling people to spend their vacation in our own country.. which makes sense. I am suppose to go to Edinbourgh in July for an internation conference with the organzation, but I am fuly expecting it to be cancelled. >_<

I def. think I would have to wear something warm to be able to sit out on my balcony today. :) Been doing housechores mostly so far. :P

that definitely makes sense - our government haven't got as far as mentioning anything about summer holidays yet, so I don't think anyone really knows what's meant to happen when! The already cancelled the local classic car show that was meant to be mid June, but the Jane Austen festival event thing in September is still meant to be taking place (although I'm not convinced that it'll be able to run this year, as it attracts lots of people to come and participate in the walk around the city centre, let alone the dances and other things).

It's 24C outside at the moment (in the back garden at least), and a neighbour in their garden (we overlook a few gardens from here, so it's impossible to not see people out there!) wearing a strappy top and shorts.... I don't think it's really warm enough to bare my legs though - they're happier being covered still :P

Did you manage to get the house chores done though, or are some still left for tomorrow?

It is a shame when they have to cancel stuff people have been looking forward to! >_< I had season tickets to see my football team play- but that is not happening either. No one knows when that will start. Got a mail today- the trip to Edinbourgh wont be happening. Was told we will get the money paid refunded which is great. All I need to do is sort out the planetickets to get there.

Hehe.. when mum and I went for a walk the other day people were tanning in their gardens.. in bikinis and stuff. Def. weird for April. lol Been a lil bit colder since tho. Some wear jackets etc, other shorts and a tank top. lol

I managed to get everything done, so I am set for now. :D

Hopefully they'll either refund the season ticket, or at least make it valid for next year's season if they can't get it up and running soon! That's a shame with the Edinburgh trip, but at least they've not waited until the end of June to make a decision ;)

There were lots of people trying to sunbathe in the parks over here, so the police ended up moving them on - they were allowed to walk around the park, but sunbathing is meant to be done in your garden (assuming you have one of course!). It really doesn't feel like April with this weather! They're forecasting 13C next week, so that's going to come as a real shock after this hot weather ;)

Thank you, yes I agree. I still am shocked with how they turned out. It is funny how sometimes we unknowingly self-limit ourselves. I've recognized it a few ties in my life. Sometimes I lack the tools necessary at earlier points and then suddenly gain them later on, so it sort of helps the process bloom. Still, it is fun to look back and see it unfold.

You’d think I’d be in a better mood but I’m not. I’m on the verge of tears and way stressed. I got my cast removed today as it was cracking and apparently was going to be removed on Wednesday anyway. But it was so stressful being in there. There were too many people for my liking, even with my homemade mask. Then I had to have hydrotherapy on my leg which I HATED. I don’t like feet. I’ve seen athlete’s foot. It’s disgusting. Especially with these nasty posters in the office with foot diseases. So sitting in this uncomfortable chair with your legs in this metal basin (which for all I know could have nickel in) waiting awfully long wanting it to be over with so I can’t the HELL out and disinfect. It was awful. I had to walk with the boot as I didn’t know I’d be getting the cast off. It hurts to walk on my foot with the hard floor under it so I had to put shoes on… I’m just… not in a good way. Not the way I wanted to celebrate my cast coming off. At least he put an alcohol spay on my leg before the soft cast.

I really should work on my pets, but I ran out of inspiration on the stories & layouts 😊 ....although I have been working on a couple of ideas, if only I could get them to make complete sense so I could write them down (one of those "that sounds like a good story for a pet" ideas, but it's not quite fully formed to write out yet :P)

Yay for getting the cast removed, but that stinks that there were so many people there! And that sounds really unpleasant to have to sit with your legs in that basin for so long - you'd think they'd use white plastic, as at least then there'd be no nickle-allergy worries! So is that the end of the cast for that leg now then, or is there another support or something that has to be on?
