My weekend is going alright. :) The usual cleaning. Played some more kingdom hearts 3- getting really close to the end. Mum visited today. we went for a walk exploring a new area- was really nice. Walked by the sea.

hehe I'd definitely prefer the picture to the sound though :P ;) I've got a painting of a Tahiti beach in moonlight that my Grandparents bought when they lived over there - I don't have anywhere suitable to hang it at the moment though, so it's stored by the cupboard at the moment :K Looking forward to eventually being able to get it on the wall though, as it's a tranquil picture, but also a memory of my Grandparents at the same time :)

We bought a lovely dining set for outside. We're needing a bit of sunshine and enjoyment with not beign able to go out much. THis is it I assembled it yesterday when it arrived and we are looking forward to using it. Other than that there's not too much different going on. Scrapbook room is getting lower and lower on boxes. It's slower than I wanted because of my leg but still unpacking. It's healing. not as much pain and not all the time. I have an apt on the 29th and if all goes well the cast will be removed the week after that..

Sounds like it would be nice to have it on your walls. Shame there is no room for it right now. :) I live close to the sea, only like a 5 minute walk, so I can see it whenever I want. :) Not really the nice sandy beaches tho. :)

Probably not gonna replay, as you now I rarely reread or replay stuff. I am weird like that. I have so many games for the ps4 that I havent played yet anyways. :)

She is doing alright. :) The social distancing etc is still going on, but they are slowly starting to open stuff like schools etc back up.

Yay for new dining set. :D You can have barbeques and whatnot. xD I brought up my chairs for the balcony, the weather been really nice lately, sunny and warm. ^_^ Fingers and toes that the appointment will go well. Getting rid of the cast will be nice. Try not to overdo it tho with unpacking and stuff. :nods: Its okay if it takes a bit of time. :)

My sister said they do have one of those grocery stores here but she has only been to it once, I think because it is kind of far away. Oh, I didn't realize that was the surgery. So what happens to the holes, do they get filled back up with other new tendon lengths so it is longer?

Yeah, it's more a case of Mum not really being a fan of the picture (she prefers the ones she bought a while ago), but when I can eventually have my own place (not likely to happen in the near future anyway, but a girl can dream :P) that will be going up on the wall :D 😮 whoa, I didn't realise you were that close to the sea! :D If I lived there, I think I'd want to go out on a really stormy day just to sit at a distance and watch the waves crash in :P

I actually live on an island close to the city centre (only about 10-15 minutes by car) that is connected by bridges. So yup! Loads of nice areas for walks. :D

I'm just pleased I wasn't at a point where I'd moved out just before everything locked down - I think that would've been a nightmare! :P That's even better that you're close to the sea, but really close to the city centre as well :d I think for us that's much the same time by car to get to the city centre, although I can imagine that it'd be quicker for you to walk back home from the city centre than it is for us (the disadvantage of living over half way up a steep hill ;))

I reckon I will finish up Life is strange, which is a shorter game I started earlier. Other than that, nt sure. Have a lot of games for my switch too that I can start. I need to complete steamworld dig 2 on there.

A lot of people share that concern, and I can see why. On the good side the situation is more under control here than it is a lot of other places and they will take special precautions in schools with more dilligent cleaning routines, distancing, less kids in classrooms at the same time and such. Hopefully it wont lead to more sick people.

True, it can get lonely for people that live alone during the lock down. :) Thankfully I am able to hang out with my mum, which helps with that. :)

Yup, I have walked into town a couple of times. Takes a lil bit of time, but not too bad. since there arent any steep hills. :) At least those are good exercise. 👼 Mum and I took a long walk today along the sea, the weather is still warm and sunny so it was nice. :)

also, you hadn't just moved out from the family house either, so you're maybe a little more used to being in your own company for a lot of the day ;) A friend over here moved out in the summer last year, and had just started getting into the idea of doing to social events in her new village (like a monthly coffee morning, quiz nights and that kind of thing) in the couple of months before all this started, so she's finding it hard to get used to not being able to get out and see people again. hehe those hills are my usual excuse to have a coffee (or a milkshake style one in the summer) to drink on the way home - you need more energy to be able to tackle those 😇 That sounds like a perfect walk :D :D

A lot of people struggle with that these days. I feel especially bad for the elderly in nursing homes that are not able to have their family visit. :)

If you are gonna tackle those steep hills, you deserve a treat. :nods: :D Been out for a walk today as well.. hopefully all these walks will help me loose a lil bit of weight. 👼

yeah, there's so much emphasis on the hospital staff (who are doing a great job, don't get me wrong), but I think the care workers in nursing homes have definitely got their work cut out as well! Not only do the elderly there not have their relatives visiting, but they also don't get the same level of entertainment (like people coming in to play music for a sing-a-long, or an afternoon trip to the park so they can see the ducks) so it must be hard to keep them all occupied!

That's exactly what my Occupational Therapist said originally 😇 laughs That's impressive on the walks :D - is the weather still sunny and warm, or have you got the colder breeze we had yesterday?

I wasn't feeling great today :/ But I did manage to pick up my water bottle at Walmart through curbside--thank you leg in cast. We also scored some paper towels and hand sanitiser :) I wonder when your gift will arrive. And I did send a card almost a month a go, I think.... o.0

For sure! Even the people that works in grocery stores that make sure we get food and other supplies. :) Now they are opening schools again for grade 1-4 for now and kindergartens. Cant be easy being a teacher in this situation either. o-o

I wonder how they're going to make sure that all those young children keep 2 metres apart from each other now they're going back to school! ;) Over here, they've had schools open just for children of key workers, but it sounds like they'll be keeping them shut for everyone else until the end of May at the earliest.

Yeah, surprisingly blue skies again today but that breeze is quite fresh! ;) Dad thought he wouldn't need a sweater on to go out for the grocery shopping - he got as far as the car, then came back in to put his sweater on :P

That is not an easy task for sure. ;) From what I have read, more cleaning, smaller groups etc. Schools and kindergartens have been open here as well for keyworkers.. Summerbreak starts in June for kids here. so not that much left of the school year either by the time the older kids get back to school.

Hehe. :) I had a light jacket on when I went out today. Think I would get cold without it. ;)

makes you wonder if there's really much point in them going back yet - it'd almost be worth just saying "the summer holidays start now" then going back in August rather than September! (I doubt that would be a popular idea though!). They've cancelled the exams for the older kids for this year - I think they're giving grades based on the predicted grades the teachers gave from their mock exams - I don't envy the teachers having that level of responsibility!

It's nice and warm indoors, but I'd be surprised if anyone could be outside in shirt sleeves without getting cold! ;) Although according to my weather station thing, it's 23C in the back garden at the moment (admittedly I think that sensor is in sunlight, so it might not be quite that warm in reality :P)
