Whenever I've used bandaids or any kind of medical adhesive plaster, my skin gets really red marks where it's been, so I know how horrible that is on a small area, let alone a large area of skin! Have they given you any recommendations for anything that would help soothe your skin, or is it up to you to find something by trial and error? At least the lotion seems to be doing the trick - that's impressive for it to feel smooth when it looks that bad! :)

same here and one part is actually pretty raw. nope LOL but to be honest I didn't ask. lol well the worst flaking is on the foot which I put a sock on -giggles-

If you've got some cotton wool pads (like the kind of things that you'd use to remove makeup), then one of those over the raw part, with a sock over the top, might help to stop it getting irritated by the sock rubbing against it (assuming it's on a part that can be covered by that of course!) ;)

Most of the year it's OK. There's a few weeks in June and September when I'd kill for it tho.

Well recently it is more like me because of the neuropathy. They feel better warmer, even though I hate wearing them. But most importantly I don’t want dead flaking skin everywhere. And unfortunately today my leg is shedding heavily so lol the sock isn’t helping much.

Also, AC is fixed! YAY! It wasn’t until 8pm they finished so it was a long, hot day honestly.

At least its not too long of a span then.

No, it's not. That's probably why a lot of buildings in this area don't have AC.

, yeah, I've been down South and it's just impossible without. But it's actually very common not to have it in the Bay Area because the Pacific Ocean keeps it cool up here. What really is a bummer is not having AC in the office. I hope that when it really gets hot I can work from home some now that it's clear I can do 90% of my job from here. Wearing "office clothes" in the heat with no AC is not my idea of fun.

A cold shower before bed is nice too on a hot day. :) s Hehe.. I know they make motion activated animal deterrents. That will spray water or whatever to teach the animals to go elsewhere. But that would probably be an expensive solution. ;)

Uh, I cannot even imagine what that is like; I've never had a cast. It must be not fun though. :( Thank goodness we have lotion though, it is a life saver.

I've never tried cool showers - unless there's been too much hot water run beforehand, and the hot setting comes out a lot more tepid than I'd expected :P

I think I've seen something like that before, but I think it might end up spraying dad each time he needed to get to the garden rubbish bin (we keep that by the garden gate so we can't smell it from the house - it only gets collected every 2 weeks, so it tends to smell a bit pungent by then :P) 😇

I dont share the showe with anyone, so there is always plenty of hot water here. Bonus I guess. lol

I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for that one then - Niamh has already told me I have to buy it laughs ;) I think if the 'blowing in the breeze' look fitted with more items (or a very windy style background) it might make the dresses look a bit more natural too ;)

My worst thing on that is running water in the bath, Dad then running hot water in the kitchen, then me realising there's no hot water left to use the shower to wash my hair :P Mum tries to make sure that when she wants a bath, that nobody else needs to run any hot water at all :P

I bought some eczema cream and with in the day it was better. Been a long day. It was mums bday todsy. We planted some flowers in the garden. I did laundry in the form of all my bedding, picked up the 2 peach trees my brother bought mum, made my bed, showered, made mums bday cake, took care of our delivered groceries... lol long day

That is so annoying. :P I wish I had a bathtub, love taking a bath. :)

the building I work in is a piece of historical architecture. Most of the health centre campus is air-conditioned. I have been known to take work to the cafeteria when it's really hot, but with social distancing that's not an option.

the only disadvantage is when Mum's used a particularly oily bubble bath, and I'm the next one to use the bathtub if it's not been cleaned in between :P

thanks I think she had a good day :) Today we planted her mother's day flowers and the left over bday flowers so the back garden is looking much nicer and more welcoming. I think we'll enjoy being back there more :). did a bunch of other things too. Very pleased I was able to do so much. My leg is doing so much better.

thankfully she doesn't use pure oils in there - it's more oils in whatever bubble bath she used, so it's less slippery on the bottom of the bath, but it leaves quite a 'scum line' around the sides ;)
