Wow that is intense and terrible! ! :( -hugs tightly- I a sorry too about the sugar tests. I hope that there is something you can do that will help it and maybe reverse! -more hugs- I am glad at least that you know why you were so sick so you can avoid it going forward. <3

hehe oddly enough, I find it easier to hem ones I've made than take up shop bought jeans.... I guess that's mainly because I know near enough how much to turn up for the hem, without too much hassle of trying to pin it up and guess if it's long enough or too long :P

Could you add in a border to those ones that were crocheted too tightly, to make them the same size as the others (assuming it's the size that's the problem)?

Pretty HA dear :) LOL you have no idea! Lol. My shoe is a little shorter than the boot so its rather difficult and I feel like a toddler –giggles- I decided to take a shower this afternoon as I felt hot and sticky. Shower itself was a pain and couldn’t get inside mine at all. I had to go to mum and dad’s and use Mum’s transfer chair. It was a short shower too. But even though I taped the bag on really well I got water in and wound up having to go to the office and have my cast taken off, guts removed and the cast reformed. Was rather painful, as you can imagine being only 2 days post op. I was glad I’d just taken my pain meds before the shower figuring the shower might hurt. He said he made it a little easier to walk in and I do notice a difference. Also a bit more pain because it had to be moved and all without the cast on. And when getting off the table I nearly fell. It was kinda comical really I hand my left arm up and my right leg, like about to do a cartwheel. The doctor tried to grab me and the two orderlies were there super-fast and held me to get stable again. LOL I was impressed with their reflexes. I told them I wasn’t falling, just trying to do a dance move. One orderly asked what kind of dance move and doc replied with “Catch me if you can.” LOL. Gotta have a bit of fun with things or you cry. I got home and laid down for the next three hours. Only slept for one but I feel a little better laying down than I do sitting up. I am hoping I feel less pain in a few days so I can walk better and hopefully get some work done too. I’m totally trying to not sit too long and I wiggle my toes often as well. ^.^

probably trying to stave off cabin fever :P. Is getting groceries difficult? I know many things are rather limited or not available at all right now. read above for my extra fun –giggles--

It really was. It's okay, I'm doing my best to lower my sugar intake and not be overwhelmed. yeah won't be taking Ibprohin again that's for sure.

Read Paddy's comment for my extra fun day LOL.

finally forums are working again :D

Thanks :D I thought I'd play with some layering and use some backgrounds that are feeling a little neglected ;) That must be awkward being lopsided with the boot being that little bit higher! How did you get on using the transfer chair, as I can imagine that in itself felt a little odd if it's not something you're used to ;) but that stinks that you ended up with water in the cast :K At least they were able to get it redone nice and quickly though, and that they made it easier to walk on :d hehe that's awesome you had a doc with a sense of humour! Laughter can definitely help with a lot of things :D

Mum & Dad went out today and said it was really eerie in the shops - three staff members and only Mum & Dad as potential customers.... but the supermarket was packed earlier in the week even though they were still out of hand wash, loo rolls and a lot of other basic things, and had restrictions on the number of certain other things that can be bought by one person. It makes it a bit harder for Mum & Dad, as they do our grocery shopping and also shop for my Grandparents so they're really shopping for two households. How's it going over there with shops and all that?

You can get them the perfect lenght then. :D Its not always easy to know how much to take them up either, depends on what shoes you wear too.

Nope, I dont think so, they are so tight, they wont quite lay flat. o-o So I have started over. Will ssee if I can find some use for the squares I have already done tho.

Getting groceries havent been too bad so far. People started hoarding, but shops also get supplies several times a week. Some things like yeast (for making bread etc) is harder to come by tho. And I have plenty of toiletpaper in storage, so that is a plus. xD Are you guys okay as far as getting supplies?

Sounds like quite the day. Glad you and the doc were able to laugh a bit at the whole situation. :huggles: Mum visited today, we went for a walk and had dinner. Was nice. :)

it looks great. Yeah it's not easy especially with pain as well. The chair was fine. No problem at all. Yeah they all have a nice sense of humor. I felt a little silly in my peacock pjs lol but they were good about it.

Couldnt they shop in two trolleys and each check out? Shops are out of somethings including hand sanitizer and bleach. Strange things as well like hashbrowns. We used delivery option yesterday so we didnt need to come in contact with people.

lol read above. Somethings are harder to find.
Yeah lots of fun yesterday for sure. Glad you are enjoying time with your mum.

lol it was a funny scene. Just wish it wasnt hurting lol. But it's all good.

at least they weren't ones with little kids cartoon characters on ;)

Yeah, I think that might be their plan for next week. That's weird that your shops have sold out of hashbrowns! Mum prefers to see what's on the shelf to do her shopping (and some of the potential 'substitute' items they'd do for an online shop if they've sold out of whatever we want, might not be suitable for Grandad), so we're trying to avoid online delivered shops unless we really have to! Having said that though, the supermarket we would use for online shopping managed to break their website earlier in the week, so we couldn't do an online shop there even if we wanted to :P

haha well my bottoms were little dogs in swimsuits LOL the peacock bottoms got wet with the shower--too close to the tub I guess. But yes i think that's better than cartoon characters.

Hope it works. You don't get to choose the items to replace with? I can in our store. Right? I thought that was strange too. LOL I tried Walmart and Kroger first but I couldn't get through with them so I had to set up the shopping with Publix which is more expensive than the other two but I joined the monthly club and get free delivery. Considering one delivery is like $7.99 and the month club was $9.99 it seemed worth it for the duration of this virus pandemic.

Looks like you missed my post earlier. :points a few posts above:

Yeah, no handsanitizers to be found here either. That and bleach I can understand, but hoarding hashbrowns seems a bit random. xD

Good idea to have it delivered. :) I try to only go once a week and being careful about it. :)

not too sure how I missed that one o.O

nods although luckily I wear the same trainers all day every day, so that's not too complicated to work out the length I need :)

Aww that stinks that they won't lay flat :( could you add in a tighter edge to them and make it into a handy container for anything?

I love the bee-themed HA today :D hehe those pj bottoms just show you have a sense of humour :P

Nah, I think they just do random replacement items - you can say you want a refund instead if they do sub an item, but you don't get to pick what potential subs you get. That definitely was a good bargain on the delivery!

Mum went to the local co-op supermarket today to get biscuits for Grandad - they're restricting it to 2 packs per customer, which I can understand, but it's a pain in the rear seeing as he gets through three packs every week (he's not able to eat a lot of food items now, so biscuits are kind of what keeps him going all day). She went there on her own, so she couldn't get an extra pack for him.

they are trying to make/get more available.
Lol right? Somethings we can't get are just rather strange. Yeah and its kinda fun watching them update our cart lol. Im just weird.

Why thank you xd. Your ha is broken :/ Haha i suppose xd. Dogs in board shorts and binikis is amusing

Thats too bad. I was able to chat with my shopper and add things or choose alternatives. Right? Its not too expensive and is way easier. I am a fan lol.

Wow. Seems an odd thing to ration. But then again fruit pastllies are totally gone here :( dont know why they are sold out either.

No worries, been there done that myself. :)

I often live in trainers too, since they are so comfy. :) My feet is a bit particular about what kinda shoes they like. :)

That is def an idea! Or I thought about removing the edges and see if I can crochet them not quite as tight and if that makes them lay a bit flatter. We will see. :) I dont want to toss them away. :)

Yup, they are working on it here as well. :) I have plenty of bleach and some hand sanitizer/baby wipes etc I can use. So I should be fine for a good while.

At least you can live fine without the hashbrowns. lol Weird indeed.. but hey, if you are having fun. xD

yeah, I went into the v4 wardrobe and saved my ha.... since then it's just been a broken image, and it won't load in the regular wardrobe either :K

Ah, the only way to get home delivery on groceries here is to do an online shop, so there's no option of talking to the person picking it out or anything. o.O that definitely seems weird for them to sell out of fruit pastilles!

[edit] changing my HA base to male made it show up - looks like it's just the female body base in that particular shade which is broken o.O

I can't go bare-foot or wear flat shoes, so even if I'm not going outside, I wear trainers ;)

That could work, if you could unpick the edge stitches and make it lie flatter :D Hopefully there's something that'll work, so you can still use them :D

I used to wear slippers, but I found after a year of not going out due to agoraphobia several years ago, my knees weren't overly pleased with the lack of decent footwear I was using! So I have indoor trainers and a pair of indoor sandals for the summer too :P

oooo now that would be a neat idea :d If it's just the last two rounds that are curling, could you join them on the last of the flat rounds (if that makes sense) so you get a kind of frilled effect, but the overall shape is still flat? (like if you were attaching a flower shape or something like that)

That makes sense. :) I always found that life is too short to wear uncomfortable shoes. angel: I refuse to unless its for a special occation like a wedding or something. :P

Oh, I think I know what you mean, and I like the idea. I am gonna have to try that and see how it works out. :D :takes notes:

I bought my work shoes from boy's school wear, as they were comfy without being shiny like the girl's ones :P that's the main advantage of having tiny feet (kid's shoes are exempt from tax here, so they work out a lot cheaper!) laughs ;)

Good luck! :D

weird o.0 Glad it's working now though. It's a pretty ha :) I did it online too, but they let you know when you have someone shopping and you can chat with them, at least with Publix. Haven't done walmart or Kroger yet lol. right?
Such a random thing to sell out of. But damn do i want some haha.

Ours is more centralised, so you just get whatever they have in the main depot warehouse rather than what's on the shelf in the shop. Hopefully they'll get more in quickly - I feel sorry for the shelf stackers in the supermarkets at the moment, as it's not known as the best job out there (it's usually seen as an unskilled one) but they must be run off their feet right now!
