I'd get on better if Mum didn't keep interrupting! I pulled out the fabric from a bag in my room, and found a very summery looking scuba fabric (the kind of thing a close fitting dress would be made from - pretty thick and stretchy, but stable so it should keep its shape) that I got in a mystery bundle and thought would make some decent trousers (despite it having a lot of green as it's a floral pattern with leaves). Apparently (according to Mum) "that looks like 1950s" therefore it wouldn't suit me.... so all I've managed to achieve today is pulling all the fabric out, to just have to push it all back into the bag again :K

Mum's been in denial about what we're meant to do at the moment, so now we're told to keep indoors other than "essential" shopping and one form of exercise each day, she's acting like it's all a total surprise o.O

hehe definitely well used!! :P It's got some annoying spaces that aren't quite the right size now (it was made when we had a 'twin tub' washing machine, so there's not the space for a regular sized washing machine), and the oven & fridge freezer have to be narrow ones to fit in the spaces.... I think all the appliances have got wider in the years since our kitchen was put in :P

That is def. possible that the standard sizes for appliciances have gotten larger. :) I can see how it can be a bit annoying, even tho you can make it work. :)

also, a lot of the kitchens were measured in inches still - of course now it's all in centimetres, so even that can make a difference to fit everything in! ;)

Whoa, that looks awesome!! But will it be staying that empty on the surfaces? 😇 (certainly in our kitchen, most of the work surface is filled up with tins and stuff :P)

I think its mostly US now that uses inches. Other than tvs and computer screens. lol

Thankies. :D I am keeping it empty for now while it dries. :) Once its all dry I will start putting stuff back. Its def. not usually that empty. Not a huge amount of counterspace, so it easily looks cluttered. lol

nods we do have some things in inches as well as cms, but it should all be in centimetres really ;)

hehe although we found that the more flat surfaces there are, the more stuff gets piled up on them so any flat surface will never be empty for longer than a few minutes here 😊 :P

I can't think of dancing today. It sounds painful. Wound up going to the leg doc and having the cast adjusted. I was in more pain the last several days and something seemed off so called and explained the problems and was told to come in. and adjusting the cast meant adjusting my leg as well. OMG so ow!

Sounds like a good plan :D no, worse now LOL It's not too bad. The boot/shoe keeps it from slipping on things. we'll see how the adjustments go.

That sounds mega painful! But with a bit of luck the adjustment will help and it'll be a lot less painful once that settles down squishes gently

I will admit I cheat and see measurements as ruler lengths (so 30cm / 12 inches) - that works better when I'm trying to convert cm to inches so Mum can visualise whatever length she needs ;)

sounds great. Today i made 2 cards, sorted out a little bit of my desk in the scrapbook room and did two boxes. Oh and set up our order for tomorrow for groceries. watched some telly and read too.
