that's definitely perfect on the drawer! I didn't know there were stains that were coated like that :D

yeah I got it last year or two years go? lol Anyway I had some left over. No smell, water based so easy clean up, one hour wait only... the stuff is awesome. I use my lapdesk every day for dinner or computer and it's still perfectly fine so I know the drawer and top will be golden. I will paint the rest off white and I have a pretty knob on the way too.
(have to make sure it's not nickle based which, lemme tell you has been a challenge!)
ooo that looks really snazzy :D
I guess nickle gets used in a lot of things that you wouldn't really expect to find it in?

Hehe.. that must be an interesting effect. ;)
I have always been Gryffindor gal, so it was the perfect choice. :D
Sorry about all the work you did, only to have to do it over again. >_< Glad it looks great now tho and you got your money back! Also happy to hear that Nigel is doing well. :D
I have to head out soon to get some groceries, and I have to make the bed and such. :)

they can be seen for quite a distance as well - we saw one that was really in the distance after that, and that looked even weirder!
:D I always class myself as Gryffindor, but Pottermore put me in Hufflepuff :P

thanks XD Yes it so is! JEans, jewllery, knobs, keys, knitting needles, glasses... food. It's super hard if not impossible to avoid. But I'm trying to cut down my exposure so I don't have food problems.
oh what a cute ha XD
thanks :D I did all the sanding on the cabinets and showered--was COVERED in saw dust. It was everywhere. I'll prime them tomorrow and hopefully get at least one coat of paint started. Also need to do some packing but I spent the better part of 5 hours on the sanding. My elbow is hurting really badly--Arthritis , been bothering me the last week. I wrapped all of dad's gifts for mum to help her out. Also gotta get ready for my brother and his family who are coming on Saturday night.
hope your errands went well.
I wouldn't have even considered food as an option for something that could be in!
Thanks :d I was stuck for inspiration so I thought I'd add in that melody critter as well just to fill the beach a little ;)

I guess it only really works well from the right distance then? I have never really seen these laster shows in person. :)
I took that test too once, I cant recall which house I ended up in, but it was not Gryffindor. lol
:pats: You got more patience with your paint project then I would have had. lol I am sure they will end up looking great in your new room tho. :) Hope you will have a nice time with your brother and his family too! :) Mon left to see her parents today, so I just plan on vacuuming and such, and mostly relaxing. :)

yeah, I mean you get to see a laser show effect, but it looks odd from a distance laughs I haven't ever seen one from the event itself, so maybe I should try and get there when they do their quiet fireworks and laser show one year :D
hehe I'm sure they've got it rigged to know what house you want to be in, then give you one you really don't want :P

I do think its a neat idea, since its noiseess and a lot safer. :D
From what I understand Rowling made the quiz herself, maybe she did play some trick on us? :) People get really serious about ending up in the house they like the best. lol

My latest knit projects.. Mittens are for my friend, and I made the hat for my mum. :)
see above for latest knitprojects. :D

hehe that could well be the case if she made the quiz herself! ;)
😮 that hat looks awesome, but those mittens are utterly amazing!!!! I showed the photo to my Mum and the first thing she said was "where did she buy them" laughs :D

Who better to do it at least? ;) googled and found this on pottermore: Are you Gryffindor? Are you Hufflepuff? Are you Slytherin? Are you Ravenclaw?
Find out with the Hogwarts Sorting Experience created by J.K. Rowling.
Aww, thanks to both you and your mum. :D I am sure they are not perfect if inspected closely, but they were the first mittens I ever made, so there is that. lol Only made fingerless ones before. :) And never even near this much colourwork. lol Plus, having the stitch the eyes and nose, that was a first one for me too!

I reckon she phrased the questions in a way that makes you answer in the hope of your favourite house, rather than honestly - then you get one you didn't want :P
You did an amazing job with them :d And I certainly couldn't spot any mistakes in there! :D

That would be clever! I did not find it always obvious which answers would point to each house. ;)
Thanks. :D Maybe in 40000 years when I have forgotten how much work they were, I will start another pair. :P

I think I tried making my answers sound 'brave' to try and fit with Gryffindor :P I can't find what the questions were though, ever since they moved Pottermore over to a new site :K
laughs maybe after multiple single colour projects ;)

right? I hadn't thoguht of it either. hehe he's gettign around
patience or sheer will. Hope you're having a good time. Sorry so tired lately. lovely job on the knitting!
I thought I'd carry on with the same theme laughs I've got an outfit saved for tomorrow already :P

I cant recall what the questions were, only that I didnt end up with Gryfffindor, I reckon I am still a Gryffindor gal at heart tho. ;)
Mum wants a pair of slippers, the old ones I made her is all worn out. So I guess I will start on that, but crochet them and use thicker yarn.
Thanks hun! :) She is happy which is what matters. :) :hugs: I bet, hang in there hun. It will get better. :) My friend left to stay with the family for christmas, so I am just getting a few things done around here. :) Have to pack myself, as I am sleeping over at my dads tomorrow

well the sorting hat is meant to take our choices into account, right? ;)
Using thicker yarn is always a good idea! :D
