The funniest year was when my brother made me dress up as Santa, when my youngest niece was really little. lol I felt so silly. :P

Wow, that is a lot! o-o But its always good to limit the stuff you bring at least some, and helping out a charity and getting a bit of extra cash is a nice bonus too! :) Good luck with the painting, I am sure they will end up looking brand new, it make such a difference.

I might do as Paddy here, and put the gifts under your tree if its okay. As christmas day is very busy for me with family time, sleeping over at my dads, and sending gifts using my phone seems like a pain in the rear. lol

I never leave a space in the lining, as I can't get that sewn up neatly.... I leave a space in the top then just close it with the topstitching at the end 😇 Ah, I wear those long fingerless mitts I sent you the pattern link for (and if you haven't downloaded them, you need to get on with it, as I think those are disappearing from her site at the end of the year :P), so my wrists are nice and warm, it's just where the wind seems to go straight through the upper arm part of the sleeve o.O

it always seems crazy to me to leave a space in the lining then have some ugly machine stitching to close it over :P Even if you run a double line of stitching around the top to make sure you catch the folded bit (as my seam allowance on the folds never seems to be 100% accurate :P), I reckon it still comes out looking better ;)

I'm not surprised that you haven't tried making any yet! Maybe that could be one of the first projects you sew in the new place? ;)
