Those sounds very cosy. :D Hopefully you can find a pattern somewhere that would work. :) I find that most fingerless mitts are quite thin, and not as warm as a regular mitten usually. :)
He basically told them that if they were to release her early, he wanted a signed statement saying that they would be liable and that it was indeed safe for her to go home. That changed their minds. xD

yeah a lot of shop bought fingerless mitts do tend to be more use as a layer underneath regular gloves rather than being thick enough to wear on their own :K although that comes in handy if we get snow though, so I can wear two pairs of gloves laughs The last ones I made go quite a long way up my arm rather than stopping exactly on the wrist, and that seems to work a lot better too :D the only trouble with that, is remembering how long I cut them as I deviated from the pattern on those! 😊
I love the new outfit by the way :D

Well I've done a lot of laundry. Going in to work today to post the January call schedules.
There are gloves available that are not fingerless, but allow you to use your touch screen any way. Mine are from Liz Lisa, a Japanese brand, but I've seen them in US stores too. Just don't forget your PIN, because you can't use your fingerprint scanner with them!

I've seen some of those over here as well nods I'm just weird in that I prefer my fingers to not be covered by gloves when I'm out (I have quite bad eczema on my hands, so I wear gloves all the time when I'm out) as it makes it easier to get money out from my wallet if I can feel the coins laughs

Makes sense to me!
I used to have a lot of trouble with the skin on my hands before I moved to California. They told me it was some kind of skin osmosis problem and not to wash my hands too often which was a big problem since my jobs have almost always been in hospitals. Like, great, the one thing I can't NOT do.
Turns out they just don't like the cold!

That stinks that they said to not wash your hands too often when that was something you obviously had to do! But that is incredible that moving somewhere warmer really helped :D :D My hands don't like the cold, but they also react to sweat so they aren't too keen on being too arm either - I think my hands are a bit like Goldilocks, where nothing is quite "right" for them :P

true lol. it better be! My stupid elbow is giving me hell too so my body is hating me very much. haha I don't blame her :P I love today's' ha.
good for him. Sometimes you've gotta do that or you'll get trampled on. Hospitals crowded this time of year, so sometimes they'll try to get people out quickly.
sounds like you're busy.
They are handy for that, or if its just a lil chilly outside and you dont need the warmer mittens. :)
That might be a challenge then, hopefully you can work it out. ^_^
Thankies! :D I wanted to try on some of the new things I got for christmas. :D Love the lil companian for your HA! :D The outfit is really cute too!
If it was someone younger I could understand it, but at her age not as much. She will be 89 tomorrow. :)

aww on the elbow, although I'm not surprised given how much furniture stripping, painting and moving you've been doing! Maybe a soak in the bath might help ease it up a bit? Thanks :D And I love your outfit today too, that cat really works well with the autumnal colours in the background :D
nods I even made some from thin cotton so I can wear them in the summer laughs although I will admit they'd be better if the fabric was stretchy :P Thanks :d I thought the rodent companion deserved a final day on my HA today, then he's going to have a rest ;) he's been busy being in all the different outfits this month since I got him ;)
That was lucky they agreed to keep her in hospital - when my Grandad was in, Mum told them that he wasn't fit to be back home (and that Gran wasn't fit to be looking after him), and the nurse just said he was too fit to be at the older people's place, so he was coming back the next day :K (then when he did get home, he suddenly couldn't do the step to get down the front path to the house, so the Occupational Therapist was running around trying to find ways of making it work so he could cope without doing stairs if needed)

We might have to get me some treatment because it’s making me crying in pain, which isn’t easy to do. I’ve not tried a soak for it but have done ice and rest and a sleeve. Thanks. Your purple outfit is too cute :D Today I went to Walmart got curtains and rod for new home as well as shower curtain. That drained me though. I’m beat.
yep…. No excuses for letting her go early. Today I went to Walmart got curtains and rod for new home as well as shower curtain. That drained me though. I’m beat.
that definitely stinks :( I hope it eases up today squishes gently
Whoa, you've been busy again! Got a chance for a 'do nothing' day today at least?
I love the outfit today, those cats look like they know how to ring in the new year! :D

thanks. I'm not really holding my breath, it's been bad for over 2 weeks, and getting more painful :/ No ma'am. We have the closing on the 13th, boxes move on the 15th, furniture on the 20th so we've got to get a move on it. No larking about here. Also we have a house inspection today. So someone will be here checking the house for the new buyers for like 3 hours, so it'll be a packed day--sick or not. Why thank you :D lol i had fun making it XD
that sounds like a busy day! Over here all the house agents shut for New Year's Day, so you'd have a day off from any inspections or anything like that ;) Not long before the move then! At least it's staggered so it's not all moving on one day! Are you still managing to find everything, or have you resorted to rummaging through boxes to find what you're looking for? ;)

I am drained too. lol First dinner at my mums, then we stopped by my grandma since she turned 89 today, and then my nieces 12th bday. lol
Maybe you can find some nice stretchy fabric for a new pair? :D
He is too cute not to be used. :D Animal wearables is my weakness on here. lol
That didnt sound like the best situation for your Grandad. :( Its a shame that they often seem more concerned with saving money, than actual patient care. :K

it really was. I was surprised he came today myself but we didn't pick it. Yeah but also really stressful since we have so much to do! Oh no if it's boxed, it's not getting unboxed.
sounds like fun but hey... lol I'll go to the parties, you do my packing :P
yeah, I'm on the lookout for some thin lightweight stretchy fabric that'll work for summer gloves :D It's surprisingly hard to find though!
Yeah, thankfully he progressed well and is almost back to normal in being able to do things (he can do stairs again now), but they really don't like keeping them in hospital here!
How did the inspection go? hehe that's always a good plan! Hopefully though you haven't boxed anything important by accident ;) I love the ice hockey outfit today :d

Haha.. If I lived close I would totally help out tho. :) Went into town for some errands today, my mum joined, so I am zonked. lol A lot of walking.
That is sods law. :P
Glad to hear is doing better. :)

I might try in the cheaper fabric store in the spring - they might be more likely to have something thinner, as I think the fancier fabric stores tend to have stretchy fabric that's thicker, as it works better for sewing more types of clothing.... I get the idea that thinner stretchy fabric isn't all that popular :P

dont know yet. I think we're okay lol. Thank you. Love yours too xd
Aww so sweet. Xd Sounds nice though. Get anything good?
how long do you have to wait to find out if there was anything that came up in the inspection?
I couldn't resist letting the festive kitty have a chance to show off ;) He was a bit fed up the rodent got all the outfits in December :P
