hehe that's my excuse for fabric 😇 I thought I'd found some great "sweater knit" online for a sweater for dad.... but when I unpacked it today, the grey stripes are sparkly, and it's not as thick as I'd expected :K
That sounds like a great time :d I normally have the job of passing over the presents for Mum and dad to open, as I tend to sit on the floor by the tree while they open their things, so I'm the closest to pass it over :P
hehe that's very true :P

-giggles- Hey he wouldn't mind a peep show :P PAddy looks fantastic!
-snickers- they are hilarious in how they try to hide in clothing. So cute
hehe I had a feeling he'd not be complaining ;)
Thanks :d I thought it was time she had a turn anyway ;) And Niamh said she wouldn't stand there with the wolf either 😇

:P :d thanks :D
How's all the move preparation going?

Or they will hide from you, but their tail is showing. xD
That is annoying. :K hopefully you can either return it or maybe something for yourself maybe with it. :fingers crossed:
That sounds very much like our family. I often have the job of handing them out.. the kids like to help too when I am with them for christmas. :)

I could return it, but then I'd have to pay postage, so I'll keep it and maybe still see if it'll work to make something.... I don't think dad would be keen on sparkly stripes, but I'll show him the fabric and see what he thinks.
That's sweet :d Do you find the kids get a bit too hyper over Christmas, or are they mostly quite well behaved? ;)

ooh love winter fishing look today. ugh it goes. I'm hurting everywhere. Mum and dad worked on the basement today.
hehe it's so cute right? today I've finished a Christmas gift, which I am happy about and think it looks good. Then I drained the 5 gallon tank as low as I dared but noticed the 10 gallon in my bathroom its filter isn't working. So had to move the 10 gallon which also meant I had to drain it and put it where the 5 gal was. I had to donate the 5 with my fish to petco and not only was it painful physically it was also emotionally painful. When I got home, I started working on my brother's birthday gift. Back isn't happy.
thanks :d I thought RP-Paddy looked like she was claiming her fish she caught was "this big, honest!" :P Awww squishes gently At least you didn't need to be helping out with the basement as well! Got a slightly quieter day planned today, so you can recover from everything yesterday?
Niamh says she approves of Blade's outfit by the way - she was thinking he wasn't speaking to her, seeing as he'd not had many outfits lately :P

haha it does look that way :D haha thank the heavens on that one. Well not sure. We do have a house showing at 3 so will have to take the cats and dog and leave for an hour.
THank you :D wanted to try the new jumper and figured maybe Niamh gave the badger to him lol we needa play with those two. I guess I hadn't noticed
at least you get a chance to escape while they're looking round - how are you going to keep the cats and Amelia occupied for an hour though? Just drive down the end of the road and sit listening to music in the car?
It really suits him :d And I can definitely imagine Niamh giving him a pet badger :P ;)

Aww, I am sorry you were not able to keep the fish and tank. :squishes: I bet that wasnt so great for your back either. >_< <but yay for getting a present done! I am heading out a bit later to eat at an italian restaurant and christmas concert after. Going with a few people from the organization. :)
If he is not too keen on the fabric, it should work for a sweater for yourself. :D :fingers crossed: :)
Excited yes, but not to the point of being too hyper and annoying. lol They tend to be well-behaved still. :)

nods it should still be able to be used, even if he's not keen on it ;) If he doesn't like it, I'll just have to try and find some more suitable sweater fabric for him in the local fabric shop, so I can feel what the quality is like before I buy it!
That's awesome! I'm amazed they can keep it all under control enough to not get annoyingly hyper ;) How old are they all?

basically that's exactly what we do.... love the doggy look today :D
lol Yes I can too :D
oh I hope you have a great time :D
I imagine for fabrics it can be tricky to buy them online, as you dont get to feel what its like. Colours can be different on screen and in real life too! :)
Youngest is 7 and the oldest one is 13 now! :) So fairly close in age I guess :)
The concert was awesome, we all had a great time. :) Hope your weekend is good too, even tho I bet busy with packing and whatnot.

when a previous neighbour had his house on the market, he'd just come out of the house, drive up the road and just sit there reading the newspaper until the agent & people looking round had gone. He didn't like the idea of being in the house when people were looking round, even if the agent was willing for him to be there.
Thanks :D Niamh had refused to wear this particular outfit, so I thought RP-Paddy should get a chance ;)
That's an awesome look you have today too - the Luminaire-y slippers are the perfect finishing touch :D
yeah, sometimes I can figure it out by guesswork (if you see a photo of fleece, you can usually tell how fluffy it should feel), but "sweater knits" cover so many different types of fabric that it gets really challenging to figure it out! I've not had too much hassle with colours being too different, although "ice blue" (in that lightweight coat fabric, and my winter fake wool fabric - from two different shops) turned out to be a matching greeny blue :P
Do they still believe in Father Christmas, or is the oldest a bit too old for that now? (one neighbour was still putting out fake snow for their 14 year old to show Father Christmas had been :P)

Oh I'm glad! Guess what came? THANK YOU SO MUCH!! -snuggles- I tried the scale and it's wonderful. Love it! I also tried one of the scents in a candle. can't try it for 24 hours till it's cold but I'm excited. -snuggles- thank you so much! Yes, I am so busy.
apparently it's best if people are gone as it tends to help sell the house, but I don't blame him for finding it kind of creepy.
haha diva :D ooh I like this one too. I was going to ask you if you'd seen those wolf cubs. oh thank you :)
yeah, certainly for him, they didn't want the risk of the viewers asking him questions, and him not giving a "helpful" answer :P I'd hate the idea of hearing what they say as they're looking around - especially in my room!
hehe maybe :P changes to today's outfit 😇 Your sushi look today is awesome as well! What's the trousers he's wearing? :D

That sounds tricky for sure! :) You seem to have found some really nice fabrics to work with tho.. judging from the photos. :D
They dont really believe in him anymore. I dont think I was too old either before I figured out it was my dad in a Santa costume. lol I still remember the year he came into my grandmas livingroom dressed as Santa, wearing orange miniskis on his feet and our orange sledge. :P
You are very welcome! :D Glad you are happy with everything. ^_^ I am heading out for a walk a wee bit.. plan on doing some knitting tonight. I have a couple things I want to get done before christmas. lol

I've been quite lucky with the product testing fabrics too - I had those for free, in exchange for me making something from it and writing a blog post for the shop :D So if you average out my "disaster" purchases with the fabrics I got for free, it didn't cost me much overall laughs I've decided to be reckless and go with a ribbed fabric to make the sweater for dad.... Mum thought it was going to be a nightmare to have to measure what size he needs, but I said I'd do one measurement, then work the rest out from the sweaters he wears normally, and just lay the pattern pieces over that to find out the sizing 😇
ROFLMAO now that would be a sight to remember! Did you recognise the orange sledge at the time? ;) Thankfully K is just the right age to get the whole Father Christmas thing - I think the previous years he was still a bit young to really understand what was going on ;)
