We went to three sporting good stores, Joann’s for thread, gas station, grocery shop for a few things and the vet’s for Nigel’s food which is 40mins away (one direction) I’m beat lol.

nods they should definitely be able to understand the country! They usually type out the first line of the address and put it on the receipt as proof of posting, but whenever I post anything to you they just put the house number and leave the rest off :P (that shouldn't affect how it goes through the post though)

Those lights sound perfect :D I got a small light-up star from the hobby shop yesterday, so I'm hoping to try putting that in the window today and see how bright it appears (my backup plan is to have that one switched on when the curtains are over so you can see it from outside, without it being too vivid indoors ;))

yeah it must be really frustrating that they did this server swap to make things run smoother, then random things just suddenly stop working! :K hands you some patience for sewing the advent calendar ;)

hehe it's never wise to start sewing too late in the day ;) When we got back from the hobby shop yesterday, I decided to get on and put the beanbag filling in the beanbag I'd made.... that wasn't wise as more of the beanbag filling ended up over the carpet than inside the bag 😊

nods I've been putting it off as I know it's not an easy task to do 😊 but I think it might be a good idea before the hoover gets put around this room (that's meant to be done today), seeing as I know it'll be full of fluff in there :P

[edit] I did take the side off the computer yesterday (once I realised there was a screw holding it in place 😊) and evicted a lot of dust bunnies that had taken up residence on the fan :P Irritatingly the computer still froze a few times yesterday afternoon so it looks like it wasn't just the fluff causing that to happen :K

That is def. weird. lol I only get a receipt saying how much I paid in postage.. so it doesnt show who I sent to or what the slightest. o_O Unless I send it with tracking of course.

Another long day in Ravenland lol. I wound up hammering a hiking shield/medallion onto my walking stick. Teeny nails and thick wood=swearing and bent nails. After that, I did something but I can't remember what it was 😊 then I cleaned 5 of the 6 tanks. Took a shower, ate dinner then cut the wadding/batting for the back of Dad's advent calendar. Watched some telly with mum and when she went to bed I quilted the backing and sewed the calendar together so its done now. I'm tired LOL just finished and its almost 3 am.

I lost track of when it was meant to start to be honest - it seems each day there's another little error or something that sneaks in when you think that particular bit is running smoothly o.O

It does a virus & malware scan automatically and also does a defrag once a month (I think).... but I might just run another couple of scans on it tomorrow (or a day when I don't need to use it for several hours :P) and see if that picks up anything. When I came back to the computer after breakfast, the monitor wouldn't work - Mum kindly offered to crawl round the back of the computer to fiddle with the leads (for some reason that particular cable is a bit temperamental at the moment), and thankfully that worked ok.

[edit] I went in to get the glasses.... they had the tint on but even though they'd checked them over, and saw me wearing them, it wasn't until I mentioned the anti-blue-light treatment that they realised they don't have that on them. :K So they now have the glasses back and it'll be another 10-14 days until they are back in for collection.... if they'd checked them in the first place, I could've saved a trip in today as they should've realised on Tuesday that they weren't right.

I feel tired just hearing about your day. xD Very productive tho. :D I plan on mostly chilling today, other than taking my vacuumcleaner for a walk. :P

hehe in that case it'll definitely be up before mine! I was planning on putting my lights on early (I've had them in the corner of the room since Mum did the photos of those Christmas bears I made for that fabric shop's blog), but that's all got to be delayed now because of those darn glasses :K Of course everything else I'd planned on wearing them for (like the Christmas Market, going to look at the ice skating rink before it got too busy, and going into certain shops) all has to be put on hold too, seeing as the opticians are incapable of doing their job properly.... I just hope they get them sorted with enough time for me to get used to wearing the darn things before the Christmas Market ends!

the new ones are similar, but the bend in the frames isn't identical so it's going to take some getting used to.... but I want to get sorted with that, so eventually I can replace my everyday ones and have some that aren't so bent so I don't have trouble swapping from one pair to another.
