Cleaning the oven is not a big deal. :) Just tedious. lol Wore gloves and opened windows as usual . :)

I find that bamboo needles are nice to knit with, hopefully you will like them. :) Shame you cant use your old ones tho. >_<

Its not easy to make something for a kid, if you cant try on as you go, measure or something. Not all two year olds or whatever are the same after all. :)

Were some people there that I didnt know to well, mostly my cousins partners, but mostly people I know well. :) Some cousins I dont see too often tho. :P

I like today's purple theme too XD oh its

It's a big deal for me lol I'm really allergic to the chemicals these are great. Better than plain bamboo which catches too much since these are coated in plastic XD.

definitely - I had to ask his dad for measurements when I made K's hat, and even then I was a bit wary of whether he'd measured correctly or not :P

When you know most of them well it helps make it a little less overwhelming :D but then you've got a much bigger family than I do :P I will admit the last time I saw my cousins (and uncle) would be 2004 though - that side of the family only seem to get together for funerals o.O

I hadn't recognised it under all the other items! That's perfect layering :D

I started sewing that softshell jacket today - got distracted by the recycling lorry reversing up the road (saw the lights on the lorry out of the corner of my eye, and caught my finger on the sewing machine needle :K thankfully it just caught the edge, but I've put the sewing away for the day now as I can't risk bleeding over it!

ooooo I like the sewing outfit today - what's the critter under her arm? Yeah, it's still sore but at least it only skinned it and it didn't bleed as much as I'd thought it might. If it's still sore tomorrow then I'll just put a quarter of a cotton wool pad makeup remover thing over it, just to pad it a little while I'm sewing ;)

Yay for new glasses! :D Getting them adjusted should not be a big deal at least. :) They always done that for free for me. :)

Its bad enough making something that is suppose to fit myself. lol especially since I am too lazy to knit a test square to check tension. :P

That sounds like my dads side of the family. :P Its very rare that everyone gets together. Its mostly just funerals etc. :P

that's one reason why I would never even attempt to knit anything other than gloves for myself laughs It's bad enough trying to make sure that jeans fit - at least a test version is easier and faster to make, so I can check I have it all sussed ;)

hehe so it's not just my dad's side of the family that's weird and really doesn't meet up all that often then? ;) Dad's brother went into hospital a couple of weeks ago, and it took 2 weeks before my Dad heard from his brother that he was in there (and another half a week before his brother told his own son) o.O

thank you XD its from morostide. do you have any bandaids? tHat might work easier? I love today's look. That hat works so well with everything.

Well It's a long trek to the shop we got them at but yes it's free adjustments. However keep reading.

So today we took my glasses to a local (high quality) shop and had the adjustments done there. We were done in 10 minutes. THen went to America's best for the two other pairs. But they had a problem locating the glasses... don't go there... it was an hour before we got that sorted. Now I have three pairs of glasses. Two with transitions and progressives and one with distance only.

I hadn't realised that was one from Morostide!

nods it's just the bandaid isn't as padded, so I'm not sure it'll be quite as helpful ;) Thanks :d I was stuck for ideas so I thought I'd go for a monochrome kind of look ;)

That's impressive speed on the adjustments! Although America's Best sounds pretty poor :K Hopefully the glasses from there are better than their level of service! ;)

I'll have to rummage through the Morosotide stuff I just shoved in the wardrobe and check out what it all looks like laughs

That's a good point, maybe you caught them on an off day? But the main thing is are the glasses working (and not causing any allergic reactions) now? :)

haha yeah that's my thoughts. I've had great things with them so just a one off. Yes, ma'am. I've really only wore the Warby pair but I had them on all day till 2.30am so I think that's a great sign. Even my old pairs I couldn't handle wearing that late--now I think I know why. Also wondering if that's why I couldn't wear them when my head hurt--because it made things worse with the allergy as well

yeah they've been having problems all night.

That's awesome! When I got my tinted ones last year, I could only manage 10 minutes of wearing them at a time the first few days :P And I can imagine that just made everything worse with the allergies squishes

At least it isn't just me then - my computer's been acting weird a few times lately (randomly freezing for no apparent reason), so I was wondering if it just had something against profile comments today laughs

I remember you telling me that. THough I think the tint might've made it harder to get used too. Plus I believe you had a bigger rx change than I did. Mine's a minor tweak. My left eye was no script, -.50 for CYL axis 70. Right was -.25, -.25 cyl axis 100 and it was ADD 1.00 for reading. Now it's Left +.25, -.50, axis 70. Right -.25, -.50 axis 70 Add 1.25

stupid allergies LOL. Nope not you. Do you think the computer's getting too old? Or has spamwear on it? Ooh love this new study of purple ha XD

The tinted ones had exactly the same rx as the ones I'm currently wearing - the main trouble with the tinted ones was that the frames were straight and my current ones have quite a curve to the frame, so it's like looking through a fishbowl when you try swapping over as everything just seems too close on the sides o.O My next pair are going to be 0.25 less on both eyes so it'll be interesting to see how easy they are to get used to (I bought the only framesthey had that fitted me - and they were from kid's wear! - luckily they're curved like my current ones :P)

Mum reckons the computer is semi-knackered.... but I checked to see if I can get one with a similar spec (but more storage) and the only way to get that, is to buy extra RAM and add it in myself (which I've never done before, and wouldn't be confident at doing myself!) :K If only my cousin lived nearer, as he built his own computer :P

Thanks :d I wanted to use the body mod cardigan thing again, and Niamh insisted on purples (well, she was moaning that the trousers were too white otherwise :P) ;)

Wow, three pairs! I only have the one. lol I have more cleaning to do, other than that not many plans. Heading over to my mums tomorrow for dinner. :)

Its annoying spending a lot of time knitting something, only for it not to work out. :P So I really should getting into the habit of knitting a test square like the recommend. :P

Nope. lol My mums side of the family is large, loud and very close knit- my dad side is the polar opposite. ;) That does seem like something that could happen here as well. :P Hope he is okay now. :)

just as long as you can keep your tension the same as the square you test - mine always seemed to change part way through a project 😊 :P

laughs I love the description of your Mum's side of the family ;) And yep, my uncle's back home (well, at his girlfriend's house - he wasn't allowed home on his own) having had a triple heart bypass. They're still planning on going to the coast for a Christmas break, so it must have gone well to still be allowed to do that ;)

[edit] I've completely lost track - has your Christmas package arrived with you yet? 😊

I'm beat. Went to the mall for knickers (exciting yes? XD) and worked on sewing and ironed on so much interfacing, did catbox, washed knickers, watched some telly with mum too. Been a long. long day. but very productive. And was able to keep my glasses on for another 12-13 hours. The side of my temple hurts a bit so not sure if it's still slightly too tight or me just not used to wearing them for so long.

Paddy--ah yes that explains a lot! How coming you're going weaker? rats he lives too far. Maybe he can build you one for Christmas? XD it looks great!

Lene-- yeah well 2 of them were the old pairs that they remade because of the allergy and I managed to get them to put the new rx in them. One of those I'm not sure if I'll ever use seeing as they are only distance. But we'll see. Oh hope you have a good time <3
