My oldest is a mini Spring in many ways. But baby boy loves his papa and basically wants to be him. Both I am unashamed to say with bias are the cutest things. ;) Baby Merlot will be too, because the Royal Family cannot help but have cute offspring!

I got my bard somewhat ready, just have to flesh out the backstory a bit. The new rules are confusing, I'm not sure if you had a chance to look at them. I guess with each new book something has to change. What's funny is that our party is mostly ranged, so it'll be interesting, though we'll be in Waterdeep and not outside in the surrounding areas like normal.

LOL I kind of noticed that, Sis, in my own very humble and non Grognardish opinion, the later editions are more about the rules than the story and the rules can be very very complexflips off TSRwhen we meet up, I'll run a 1st Edition game so you can see the difference, character generation can be done on a piece of notebook paper inside of 10 minutes

That sounds like a great idea and yes! 10 mins to make a character instead of what seems like hours to get stats, skills, and backgrounds done. I want to try some of the earlier editions.

Landon is 1 now. He has always been a huge fan of Papa and now that he's more mobile it's his fave thing to try to "help" with all the handy man stuff. Too cute. No bribes that I know of but then I'm home all day working with them and probably tell them both no more often than he does after he gets off work. :P

Landon was a name Mr Spring liked as a kid. It grew on me. When Landon was born, it really did fit so we went with it. It has some Texas roots I think for Scott and he has always considered himself a Texan at heart.

Sweet, so he started with second edition...the next best thing to first (actually, I really liked 2nd edition, especially the class kits...knew someone who would play just meh generic characters, Bob the Fighter, ya know?

I was going for something deeper and darker, the threat behind the threat, but if we finish it early we can do a board game or card game or just kick it and catch up
