Drew looked over and waved at Lottie and Lenore, having met them before. He smiled at Kyros. "I've seen you a few times. Glad to officially meet you, fellow snake," he said. He had no idea who the new guy with Lottie was, but he appeared older and...tough. Drew hastily looked away, directing his attention back to the group around him as Magnus revealed his story to Niall.

Seeing the look that flickered across his friend's face, Drew put an arm around Magnus' shoulders and said to Niall. "Yep, he can come here...just like you can. Hogwarts is home for anyone and we're all friends and family here." He gave Magnus a slight squeeze to remind the younger boy of that fact.

ellenor replied thank you and pulled up a chair and sat down next to and . so what house are you both in?she asked.

((sorry if that was short couldn't think of what to write.))

Merlin nods to him and removed his hand. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Joe. Enjoy your visit to Hogsmade." He made s small bow with his head to both of them and went back to his table.

He brought a drink to Lenore and sits back while sighing. "That was uncomfortable, I have fought against my shyness since day one in Hogwarts, I had no social skills, still don't, but every time I meet someone I feel ice cold inside yet this time it was colder than ever. Oh well, I can't be liked by everyone right?" He laughs and proceeds to taste a dish on the table. "Ugh, what is this? Remind me to ask what I'm eating next time." He took a long sip to his drink before putting it down. "I wonder when this actually starts."

[Edit] Seeing everyone's faces a bit gloom Merls asks. "Did I miss something? Why the gloomy faces?"

"H-hey, I'm not an uncle! I'll accept cool older brother or bad influence friend, but not uncle. I'm not old." Kyros' voice sounded at least one octave higher in his exclamation, which with his funny angry expression made him look more funny than effectively angry. Annoyed, the boy pouted a little as he turned his attention to his new tablemate. "Yep, it's nice to know there's so many housemates I haven't met until the end of the term." There was clear sarcasm in the his voice, and a good deal of self-depreciation as well. Maybe if you weren't that whole time in the library you'd know them? He quickly pushed away the thought. "It is my fault though, so I'm glad I got to know you. Even more someone who seems to appreciate the fine art of pranking if I understood well?" As mischievous smirk came to his face at that.

"The price of a pet really depends on the kind, as well. A few of them are cheaper. Maybe there'll be one of your liking? What kind of animal do you like, by the way?" Kyros asked Niall after recomposing himself. The topic soon moved to the Mysterious People Club, and creepy guy gave them a look that made Kyros ponder if he should rename it to Possible Murderers Club. He kept an eye as Merlin seemingly went to talk to them. Tail Girl was named Lottie, which was nice to know, and seemed to be nice as well. But Creepy Guy looked too old and too serious to be a student. It kind of reminded him of Eirik.

When Magnus decided to tell Niall his story, Kyros couldn't help but frown, wondering how the kid would react. And it seemed like his worries were correct. "Yes, of course he can. It's just an illness. One that can be controled with methods that are available at Hogwarts. Magnus and any other magical being is not different from us, and much less a threat to anyone, you'll learn that here." Though Kyros made his best to sound calm and smooth, though he wasn't much comfortable with where the chat was going. That subject still struck chords to him, and he could see Magnus wasn't okay.

Lenore takes the drink from Merlin. "Thank you." She removes the earmuffs and stands up from the floor. "Do you mind if I join you? Even in the corner I'm getting stepped on." Without waiting she slides into a chair. "It's alright Merlin, at least you try. Avoiding people is much easier." she takes a sip of her drink. "I would know, it's exactly what I tend to do." She shrugs then chuckles at the look on Merlin's face when he tastes the food.

"Hi Lottie" she leans forward and adds half-seriously, "Lots of people here. Wanna ditch?"

Joe sat back down after the prefect left, and after hearing the him speak back at the table, wondered why he would think Joe didn't like him. He mentally shrugged, then turned his attention back to the ladies at his table. Lottie looked..a bit uncomfortable, he would guess that she and Merlin had some history together that wasn't exactly pleasant.

He then looked at the girl who had joined them. " I haven't been sorted yet, I will be starting next term, if I choose to go here. Have you been attending Hogwarts long..?"

((OOC as a note, lottie is not sitting at the table with merlin and the rest. you are welcome to join us at ours or stay with them :) ))

"T-thank you, sir, I like all animals, sir. Frogs, snails, birds, puffs, you name it." Niall said feeling very overwhelmed. It was so generous and no one had ever given him things like this. He looked at the lycan's face and frowned. "I-I didn't know werewolves were allowed to." He was a little afraid though, because weren't all werewolves bad? That's what he had been taught. Though this Magnus boy didn't look evil or anything and the other boys seemed to like him. Niall and never had anyone actually like him before so maybe that was the same thing? "Its good they let you come," he said finally.

Merlin spoke of how he felt talking to people and Niall knew all about that. "I feel the same... No one really ever talks to me. Most just tease or ignore me."

Magnus nodded but he didn't say anything. Kryos was speaking and Niall shrank in his seat. "I-I didn't mean anything by it... I-I'm sorry. I just... I never met one and... I'm sorry." He looked like he wanted to drop off the face of the earth. Maybe he should transfer to somewhere like Zimbabwe?

ellenor replied i haven't been sorted yet. it may be odd i'm already 15 and this will be my first year at hogwarts.

((Oh dear. Why is it that every time I try to talk to Lottie I find out she's not there? This is becoming a pattern lol Lenore is at the table Merlin is at. Now I need to figure out who else is there.))

Drew grinned at Kyros. "Art in any form must be practiced to achieve perfection," he said in a tone similar to his mum's when giving a lecture. He winked at the other boy. "Maybe we could discuss our art at some point," he suggested.

Taking a drink, Drew looked up as Merlin returned. "We're gloomy because you left us of course," he said. He glanced around again and then asked, "Anyone seen Fade lately? I wonder if he's coming too? And what about Poppy?" The boy was simply mentioning people that he'd previously met and hoped to interact with again.

Joe gave her a small smile. "Have you been homeschooled or transferring..?"

ellenor replied to joe well i have been homeschooled up untill now. what about you?

"I am transferring from Ilvermorny. Home schooled, what was that like..?" he asked, with genuine curiosity.

Outfit Not Found

Lottie looked up at Merlin she spoke quietly. "Hello Merlin. How are you? Its...quite alright...Im not bothered by it."

She turned and looked at the young lady and then listened to Joes response. She then nodded in agreement. "Sure.." she looked at her through her sunglasses and gave a small smile. "I was sorted into Slytherin...but I transfered from Salem Institute in the States. Have you been sorted?"

Lottie saw Drew wave and she nodded and waved back.

((giggles, youll find me eventually! besides shes got good hearing...so she can hear you. XD)) Lotties more attuned ears heard Lenore and smiled slightly...poor Lenore had picked the wrong corner and gotten crowded in.

She looked at Joe...the sudden cacophony of voices overwhelming her and making her seem disoriented. "Im sorry...did you ask me something?"

- ellenor replied joe well to tell the truth its wonderful it but can be quiet boring at times and you miss a lot of things.

Rosie's eyes flicked back and forth among the group of people sat at the table. Listening to the conversation and occassionally chuckling at the funny comments made, she felt comfortable. The little tension in her shoulders left as she leaned back in her chair. "I do hope we will start the tour soon." she muttered to no one in particular.

((On the table is Merlin, Magnus, Niall, Drew, Rosie, and you - hopefully i'm not leaving anyone)

Merlin laughed after Kyros reaction for calling him an uncle. "No you are not old but were talking like one." He smiled after hearing him say he likes pranks. "Oh Drew, he is the prank master so if you two team up, I should really worry."

Merlin noticed Magnus was tense so he put his hand on his shoulder, he was sure he missed something important in the conversation and it had to do with him being a wolf. "You see Niall, not because Magnus is a werewolf means he is a baddie, he is actually the best guy I know here and he just has a condition that needs to be treated carefully. I trust him completely and so does all of his friends, which are plenty so no need to be scared." He then tries to change the subject again to the pets. "All those animals you mention before are great but once you find one you like lots, I will notice."

When drew ask about Fade he replied. "He was in the quidditch workshop..I think. That workshop is a blur now, I had a few accidents." He laughs hard. "Poppy should come here, she planned this unless she can't make it for personal reasons."

Joe looked back at Lottie as she asked him a question. He looked thoughtful. "I'm not sure, " he said with a little laugh. "It's a bit loud in here, hard to think."

He turned his attention back to the girl. "I would think socializing wouldn't play a huge part in being home schooled. I would have enjoyed the solitude, personally, but I think that's romanticizing the idea of home schooling. "

ellenor turns toward joe and replies yes it is a little bit. is there a house you want to be sorted into? ellenor turns towards the other girl at the table hi have you been sorted yet?

Outfit Not Found

Lottie blinked then gave an apologetic smile. "At least its not just me...I think Ive gotten used to the quiet and solitude, that now...well.." she let herself trail off.

She listened to Ellenor and nodded. "I think, depending on the home, schooling would have been nice...but coming to a place like this and not being used to it...can get...overwhelming at times." she chuckled softly. "I went to public school and it still gets overwhelming..." she shakes her head and then sipped her coffee. She wrapped her tail around her ankles a bit to keep the cold air from creeping to her feet.
