"Bet it's taking some getting used to being in Scotland?" she asked, noticing how he looked sad at the thought of Ireland. "Nope, he definitely wasn't pleased, but then if he did leave his lunch lying around like that, what did he expect? I think the sea gulls sound a lot worse than a few squirrels though."

The boy looked up at her surprised. "No, Mi--Paddy," he said, "Scottland is fine.. Its good. Pretty sure I'll choose here." He was looking back at the ground again.

Alize Rosalyn Chalifour carefully pushed the door to Las Palmas open and looked around. The restaurant looked pleasantly quiet as she shut the door behind her. Sneaking a glance at the set out tapas dishes she felt her mouth water. Rosie quickly made her way to the back to sign her name on the list before returning to the dishes and grabbing some patatas bravas. After swallowing a large gulp of the gazpacho her gaze returned to the gathered people. The list only had a few names so far and she wondered which face belonged to who. It was her first real trip without her closest friends causing her to feel a bit nervous.

Niall saw another girl enter. The young boy gave a half raised hand as a pathetic wave and turned bright red again.
Rosie noticed the young boy raising his hand slightly towards her as a form of greeting. She smiled when she saw his skin flush. Returning the wave a bit more enthusiastically she thought the kid was cute. Her friends would certainly love to tease him.

He almost facepalmed himself, but instead managed to rub his neck. She waved back to him. What should he do? Not only was he terribly shy he wasn't very used to socializing. Mostly people ignored him. He was lobster red by this point, which likely made his hair look even redder than it was. He flashed a very crooked smile before he looked at his old, scuffed trainers. Because looking at one's shoes was totally a way to help, right? He had noticed she was pretty and he loved those little lip ring thingies. His own sets of piercing on his ear made him feel slightly more comfortable--as in a millimetre.
The guy turned an even brighter red at her gesture and he looked down. Rosie giggled softly to herself and took a deep breath. He must be very shy, it won't hurt to talk a bit she thought as she stood up and walked towards him. "The patatas are nice" she told him. "I'm Rosie and you...?" she trailed off expecting him to finish.

"Niall," he said his blue eyes flicking up to see her beside him. How'd he missed her coming up? Oh right, looking at his shoes. He also felt very aware that he was Irish. "Pleased to meet ya Miss. What's the story?"
"Yeah.. Nice to meet you" she replied. What's the story? echoed in her head. How was she supposed to answer that. Her dad never prepared her for such a question before they moved to Scotland. She assumed he meant to ask her about her background in general and hoped she didn't mess things up now. She bit her lower lip in thought. The first conversations leave a damn strong impression and she didn't want to look stupid. "Erm... Je suis Français, I'm French, well technically half French. Immigrated the year before attending Hogwarts. Grew up bilingual if you're wondering about the accent." She rambled on and sighed. Rosie looked down at her shoes and rubbed the fabric of her sweater between her fingers.

The boy actually looked at her now. Well that wasn't what he expected at all. He'd never been out of Ireland before so had no idea his phrase wasn't standard. Like it or not he felt like he owed her a little. "I'm Irish as ya can tell," he said, "here to tour the school. I'd be the only one going to Hogwarts if I chose here. I just turned 11 last week. And in Ireland, if I asked 'what's the story?' I'm asking 'how are ya? I didn't know ye don't use that."
Rosie raised her head and beamed at that. She remembered her time touring Hogwarts shortly after her move. Her nerves had been on fire but she managed to turn it into the time of her life. She particularly enjoyed the village they would be seeing more of today.
"Oh.. OH!" she exclaimed. "Now I understand. Things are very different when you learn a language later. I didn't know that." she continued softer. "I just turned 15. Anyway.. I'm excited for today. So... I can now ask 'what's the story?' right?"

"Happy belated birthday. Mine was the 17th." She asked if she could use the phrase and he smiled with a nod. "Of course ya can. Might have to explain it if ya aren't talking to me." He also realised she was asking how he was. "Nervous...excited.." Then he smiled even brighter, "I can buy something from a shop. First time I've ever had pocket money. That makes me wanna choose Hogwarts right there."
Gaia noticed walk in and hugged her friend. "Feels like I haven't seen you in ages!"
"Welcome to Las Palmas!" Gaia said with a smile to the new girl. () she was happy to see Niall talking to others. Hopefully he is enjoying himself. ()
ellenor stood hiding by the door waiting to enter Las Palmas the place looked quiet and calm for now she thought. but what if more people came and wanted to talk to her? she was kinda of a introvert and didn't like to talk around others.

Lenore walks through the doors and barely glances at the people in the room but instead heads straight for the sign-up sheet and signs it. She uses not the provided quills but her own with green-black ink. Turning to the room again she sees that there are a few people here ahead of her but no one she knows. Does she look as uncomfortable as everyone else here does? She didn't think so since she was pretty relaxed. She just doesn't enjoy small talk and wasn't anxious to get involved in a conversation until it held something of meaning to her.
She picks up some of the goodies from the table and picks a spot on the floor in a corner to sit while she waited for the tour to start. She takes a pamphlet with her and peruses it while she eats.

Kyros had to suppress a yawn as he walked through the door of Las Palmas. At least waking up early seemed to pay off. There's few people here yet. The term was taking its toll on him, and the boy was looking forward a pleasant gastronomic and economic experience to cheer up more. Blinking slowly to adjust to the light, he proceed to greet and sign his name on the provided sheet before focusing on his workshop colleagues. He could recognize a few of them - and came to mind - but nobody he was particularly close to. Gosh, it's too early to be sociable... yet it seemed like he would have to be, as nobody was especially talkative.
"Thank you, Alarico and Aquilino. It seems your food is so good it left most of us speechless." Kyros winked at the chef while taking a few of the delicious items for himself. Wow, not that far from the mark! I could eat this all on my own. "Or did anyone have an unfortunate accident with a Kneazle and your tongues? You all seem awfully quiet. I'm Kyros, by the way. From Slytherin. As if the scarf wasn't clear enough. How are you all doing today? Ready for an adventure?" He smiled. Being cheeky apparently came naturally once he started it.

Lenore watched as another Slytherin student came in, signed the paper and began talking. He looked familiar, she must have seen him in class. He proved to be more outgoing than the rest of the group and she was drawn to the thought of talk finally.
"I'm Lenore," she nods at Kyros. "also from Slytherin." She smiles at the rest of the group knowing that she should have done so earlier. Better late than never though right? Boy, she needed to work on her social skills.

"I think we've seen each other in class? Or at the Common Room. Though I'm not there much these days." Kyros sighed. He was way too busy these days... He missed being with his friends in the Common Room more. "Either way, nice to meet you, Lenore. It's always good to meet a fellow Slytherin." He smiled, brushing a few stray curls away from his eyes. "So, what brought you here? Surely it wasn't just these delicious tapas."

"It's nice to meet you too, Kyros." She gets up from the floor and joins him. "I'm only in the common room when it's empty for the most part. We've probably seen each other in class." He asks why she's come and she has to stop and think. "I guess I just wanted to get some insider info on Hogsmeade. I'm not much of a people person so I nearly didn't come this morning. But you're right about the tapas." she indicates her empty gazpacho glass. "Maybe the rest of the day will be good too." Lenore looks closely but can't quite tell how old the boy is. "So, what year are you in?"
